100/10 I know this review might run a bit longer, but trust me, I've got some serious praise to shower on Robert Pena and Hall Mazda. A few month ago, I started my journey to find my perfect car. Armed with an arsenal of online research, I had my sights set on three options. When I reached out to Hall Mazda for a test drive, things got interesting real fast. Robert not only scheduled an appointment in a flash but also sent me a personalized video tour of the cars, the dealership, and even directions. Talk about a red carpet welcome! Fast forward to the test drive – Robert was like my trusty co-pilot, explaining all the car's bells and whistles, features, and functionality. Post-drive, he spent two hours decoding my car research, answering all of my questions, and guiding me through the automotive maze. No pushy sales tactics here, folks. I left that day to check out other cars on my list. Now, let me tell you, my visits to other dealerships were like stepping into a library during a quiet hour – stiff, formal, and about as personal as a voicemail recording. The value you get from a Mazda can't be understated. What comes standard would be hundreds or thousands more to add on to another vehicle. After that, I was confident in my decision to buy a CX-5. Contacted Robert again, received an immediate response. Stopped by the dealership and unfortunately the color/trim that I wanted wasn't in stock. He checked locations in other states and tried to trade for the ONE that was in stock elsewhere. When that didn't work, we ordered one. He let me know it would take a few months. Come December, and I couldn't help but notice the dealership's holiday deals and incentives. I was willing to switch colors, so I shot Robert another message. He was quicker than Santa on Christmas Eve. With more inventory in the area, he was able to locate the one I wanted that was scheduled to arrive in NC. A few days later i'm back at the dealership for the actual purchase. Now, I hadn't bought a brand-new car in ages, and I was super nervous. But thanks to Robert and the Hall Mazda crew, this wasn't a horror story waiting to unfold. The whole process was easy and transparent. I was able to take advantage of incentives and was felt ZERO pressure to buy anything extra. I really could not have asked for a better experience. The morning after my purchase, I noticed what looked like some polish left on the hood. I texted Robert, and instead of just advice, he rolled out the red carpet (again). He invited me back to the dealership (where I'd left something in my old car) and gifted me a set of fancy cleaning goodies. Now, that's service! Oh, and did I mention how clean and friendly the dealership was? Every single staff member I encountered was so genuine and warm. They take the time to chat; nothing is rushed (or drawn out!). If you're on the hunt for a new set of wheels and a dealership experience that feels more like hanging out with friends, I wholeheartedly recommend Hall Mazda and Robert Pena. Definitely a customer for life!

I just got my second Subaru (2024 Outback Limited) from CMA Valley Subaru and can honestly say it was the easiest purchase and transition I have ever experienced with ANY dealer. During the entire process Gary Eavey, the sales associate I was dealing with, displayed professionalism, knowledge of product, and above all patience as I explored the different scenarios surrounding the deal; i.e. lease, buy, trade. This dealership is a little over 100 miles from where I live and I have a Subaru dealer much closer, however it is because of the people at CMA Valley Subaru, especially Gary Eavey, that I will return for my next Subaru.

To start off… this has been the most pleasant and straightforward purchase of a car that I have had and witnessed in years! Demetrius displayed the BEST customer service and patience throughout the entire car buying process that I have ever seen. He answered our many questions from inventory, features, selection, financing, and provided the most transparency that I have ever been shown from a car salesman. Not only was Checkered Flag Jeep the best facilitator for our New car purchase but it was the best in communication and no xx antics. We visited numerous car dealerships and they gave us the run around regarding our requested car make, model, features, etc. After specifically stating the exact car that we wanted they jumped through hoops - NOT to sell us the car that we WANTED - but to sell us the cars that they HAD. Then when we asked questions about their high prices they were charging for what they had available, they decided to explain their “invoice” to us and why they had to up charge over $6K on the final price and couldn’t go any lower. They even asked US to provide them with the paperwork from other dealers to see what they were charging….it got to a point where we had to stand up and walk away from the table and out of their office. I appreciate car salesmen like Demetrius who gives straightforward answers and no nonsense advice when it comes to what they can and cannot provide to their customers. If ANYONE is in the market for a new car… I strongly advise you to check out Checkered Flag Jeep in Newport News (I am sure that all the sales reps are amazing but I recommend working with Demetrius)!!!!

I had a great experience buying my first car at Stohlman Automotive! I went with Stohlman because a friend recommended them for their service department, the good (and recent) reviews on DealerRater, and I was also drawn by their "pressure-free" assurance online. The buying process was easy and straight-forward: they asked some of the typical questions like "what's your target monthly payment" and whether I wanted a maintenance package but kept it honest when I said I wanted to focus on OTD and wasn't interested in any special add-ons. Our sales rep, Priscilla, was straightforward and professional, and took the time to explain certain features of the car to me and check-in on whether I had more questions before I drove the car off the lot. I was in at 2pm and out by 430pm. Financing was easy too, as they honored Subaru's special interest rates for March 2024. When reviewing the contract, they made sure I understood all parts of it and did not try to rush. After the purchase, I received emails from an "Encore Specialist" who followed up if I had any questions about servicing, parts, or technology. They were super helpful when I had a concern about the OEM hitch and worked to address my concerns. Everyone else I worked with was professional and assertive but not pushy. The friend (with more car buying experience) I brought along as moral support commented that it was the best car buying process she had ever been through. I've been recommending Stohlman to my friends who are car shopping for Subarus or VWs in the DMV.
