Every time I book a date for an incremental service check, the communication is swift, the service thorough, and utterly considerate.
I never feel "upsold", but instead, cautioned on ways to save my money.
New in town, I was recommended by a very long-term, satisfied customer. He even drives all the way back here to get serviced for tricky jobs.
At first I thought this is what "small town" pride delivers.
But my friend strongly advised not all service sites in town are like this one.
So grateful they are warm, wonderful, and super competent.

The parts department gentlemen, Kevin Davis and John Calabrese, are very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra to find you the parts and accessories that work with your vehicle and meet your needs (wiper blades, tow bar, bicycle and roof racks). Alex Hester is a sweet addition to the parts team. And for billing, Peg Cologgi is a math genius. She makes sure you receive an accurate accounting of all service charges and available specials. We purchased an XC90 Recharge from Glen Cove Volvo. The day we went to look at it we were on a time crunch and they didn't have the car on the lot. The sales person was kind enough to rush and get it for us, but barely communicated with us on what he was doing so we waited in the lounge in a bit of confusion about what was going on. When we expressed interest in buying the car, the sales rep and sale manager informed us we would need to buy it that weekend or they would provide no guarantee they would hold the car for us. I asked to put a deposit down to hold the car and they declined saying their excuse was, "We don't take deposits anymore because too many people back out." We wanted the car since it was the right color with right specs. This put us in a rush on a Friday afternoon to try and get a bank check ready. When we finally informed the dealer we would be able take the car the next day, he informed us that we could complete the paper work and take the car on Monday since they needed time to prepare it. This did not fall inline with their rush to sell the car to us, but we agreed since we had to clean out our trade in anyway. When we arrived, the sales rep told us the car was ready. That put us in another rush to clear out our old car which was also loaded with two car seats for our Children. After unloading the old car, they took it away without asking us and being able to do a final review. Ultimately my wife lost a pair of driving glasses because we forgot to check the overhead compartment. Once we were done in the finance office, the Sales Rep was nowhere to be found and we waited around for another 20 minutes to get the second key for the car. On the drive home, we noticed the battery for the PHEV was completely empty and the gas tank was 3/4 full. For a car that costs almost $80k out the door, I would have expected much better service and much more courtesy for the buying and decision process. When we walked into Ralley BMW, it was a no pressure environment and the sales reps assumed we did our research and offered additional information only if we wanted. Glen Cove Volvo definitely employs some very questionable sales tactics as well as little regard for quality of service. It is clear their only motivation is to move their inventory quickly. In a climate where the auto dealers clearly have an advantage on sales and pricing, it would be reassuring if they could demonstrate some level of courtesy. That is clearly absent from Glen Cove Volvo.

Made an appointment for "first thing in the morning" for routine service. Started a cup of coffee and replied to some business emails and before the coffee was gone was told my car was ready. Service Advisor Jeffrey Urbina reviewed the check list, I paid a very fair price and was on my way to the office. It was truely express service. Thanks for the great start to the day.

I really wanted to test drive the XC40 before I decided if I was going to lease or finance the vehicle so I signed up for a test drive with the dealer to have them call me and schedule, when I spoke to one of the sales representatives they said they would call me Back on Friday the 8th to set up a date for the test drive. The 8th came and went and upon getting a customer service survey on the 10th, I informed them that the salesperson just literally never called me back. The Customer service rep then informed me the salesperson stated he called me the 3rd, 5th, and 7th...in which place I never ever spoke to anyone about a test drive so till the 4th so this guy can see the future which is impressive. All my recent calls for those days show no such call ever was received and I would not be going into a dealership that lies before I even get into the front doors.

If you schedule repair or maintenance online DO NOT trust prices shown. My timing belt was more than $400 more than price shown online. Staff tried to put all their energy onto excuses rather than address my concerns. When I raised my voice in frustration Dave took $150 off. i suggested he or colleagues review posted costs and he said “that would take five years”. Well what price for honesty? I shall not return.
