So my mom has had the same car that she bought brand new - frdledford42
So my mom has had the same car that she bought brand new 22 years ago from Lakeland Toyota. It just finally kicked the bucket. It really wasn’t worth investing any more into her. It ended up with 230,000 miles on it. Other than the faded paint, up until the end, it drove as good, if not better, as a new vehicle. So mom is definitely Toyota brand loyal. So I brought her in last night to look at a new vehicle. This was our experience.
Ben Valich Salesperson:
Ben and I started off on the wrong foot. The vehicle we had planned and went to see was no longer available. This put me on the defensive, which I'm sure Ben felt. But Ben managed to regroup and assist us in finding the perfect vehicle for my mother. He knew we were struggling during the deal and decision making process, so he used his resources and brought in his sales manager to assist. Buying a car, no matter the condition, is, and no matter what, a bit of a nightmare. It's a long term financial commitment, and when moneys involved, its personal. I myself have sold cars, and been in sales and customer service for over 30yrs. I understand the dance. I have high standards for customer service in my mind. And believe in fair, respectful, and honest, buisness practice. I’m firm, direct, and try to always be personable.
Ben managed to diffuse my initial apparent irritation I had when our meet and great expectations went sideways a bit. He regrouped mentally, listened to our needs, and found a soulution. He used his support team very effectively, and was casual with us in his approach, while maintaining a great level of professionalism. He is a great asset to your location! Great job Ben!
Clive Hunter, Sales Manager:
Our salesperson, Ben, was great, but my mother is retired and lives on a fixed income, so she had a payment in her mind that she could not exceed. Ben went to Clive and he came into assist. Clive was amazing! He listened to my mother's needs and her limitations, and found the perfect vehicle for her. He exceeded our customer service expectations. His approach and demeanor were at a level not expected at a car dealership. He is the example of what a true sales manager should be. He had a team mate in need, he came in to assist, and he listened to the needs of the customer, and delivered. Great job Clive!
Samuel Moncado, Finance manager:
After 3hrs and 45 minutes at the dealership, working our deal, we were finally ready to move into the finance office. We were introduced to Samuel Moncado. Samuel looked young. Not like the stereotypical mid-40s, stressed out finance people I’ve dealt with in the past at other dealerships. It was apparent that Samuel was tired. He advised he had come in at 8am, and it was now 10:30pm. He had been pushing numbers, in front of a screen, servicing clients now pushing 14hrs straight. But fatigue had no impact on Samuels professionalism. He made sure to take the time to explain our deal, twice. He made sure we were aware of other options available that we might had wanted to take advantage of, and made sure we understood the benefits. He was so personable, so professional, and just a pleasure to work with. He is a true assist to Lakeland Toyota. Thank you, Samuel, for all you did for us!
My mother is a young 74. She does not drive much any longer, most times I drive when she needs it. This will probably be the last vehicle she ever purchase. I want to again thank your entire team for welcoming us, servicing us, and being there for us in this endeavor. I personally myself am loyal to the Toyota brand, but after this experience, I will go out of my way to reccomend Lakeland Toyota to anyone who ask.
Thank you again.
