Was charged $337. 50 for expanation of "Hybrid System Malfunction" light. When I called earler was quoted $237. for this service. The cost for replacement battery was given as over $5,000. No other options were offered. (I later learned that there are many possibilities; none were suggested to me,) I have been a pretty loyal customer for over 20 years (two cars bought and largely serviced by Maita.), but this shattered any illusion I have had about your loyalty to me. To charge $450 for "put hybrid cover and rear seat back" was outrageous! Several places would do it free as a part of replacing the battery. The total time for the entire "service package" at other places was about one hour. This is a dastardly high cost. I believe I was overcharged for the "reading" was $100. and the bizarre cost of putting the "hybrid cover and back seat back" whould have been $100, not $450. Thus, I believe I was overcharged atotal of $450, which sould be credited back to me. I am sorry that our twenty year relationship should end in such a negative way, but I put my faith in you, and it failed. It is distressing that you do not list, in the next section on your employees, the Service Advisor. He quickly quoted prices, but not much else. More
Brought the car in for initializing new TPMS sensors after new tires installed. Customer service at Service Writers desk was very good. Unfortunately the TPMS was not repaired, either TPMS receiver or n after new tires installed. Customer service at Service Writers desk was very good. Unfortunately the TPMS was not repaired, either TPMS receiver or non compatible sensors. My only issue is with all the electronic test equipment, the problem was not pinpointed to one part. The charges were extremely fair. I would still do business with this dealership as they were honest and fair. The receiver is obsolete and no longer available. I wish I had an exact diagnosis as possible needless money will be spent looking for a used working receiver, and if that doesn't work replacing the sensors again, and if that doesn't work defeating the system. Service compadre to Elk Grove Toyota is inferior. Seamed everyone was in a new-year rush and wanted to get ride of evening bookings.
