After Sales service is absolute garbage. I made the mistake of buying some extended warranty packages from the finance manager. I sold traded the car for something else and requested a refund of my extended warranty. 3 months later they still have not started the cancellation process after numerous calls and sending them the necessary paper work multiple times. I went in person today to talk to the finance manager about this. After waiting an hour I decided to leave since he was "busy" as soon as I started my car i look in and who comes around the corner but him. I walk back inside try to speak to him, he lies to me saying everything has been completed on his end (I verified yesterday this is not the case) then tells me he doesn't have time for me he has a "customer". I guess I am not a customer anymore there in University Fords eyes. I have been left with no choice but to file complaints and make sure the public knows what they are getting into stepping through the doors here. PLEASE AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP.

My husband and I ordered our 2024 Ford Maverick Hybred from Boyd Automotive in July 2023. Throughout the waiting process, Jason kept us informed of the build-status of our vehicle and was very willing to answer our questions. We received delivery of the truck on May 30th. Jason and the team were extremely helpful, made sure everything was just the way we had ordered it, took time to review the truck with us so that driving would be easy. I am the primary driver and just love it! We took off from Durham to Florida for a trip the day after delivery. The truck performed very well then, and has since. I highly recommend Boyd Automotive to anyone looking for a Ford vehicle; in fact, I did recommend to a friend of church already!

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I will surely take part of the blame for not doing my due diligence before buying a 2025 Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup truck. I assumed that such an big and expensive peice of ... equipment would be capable of towing the kind of weight and trailer I need to tow. The mechanical ability is there. The tow hitch receiver is plenty strong enough. The truck is beefy enough. The electrical connections are there. The dealer even added an optional package to make towing a big RV trailer safer. Except for one tiny omission -- an option from the factory. A trailer brake controller. This is a pickup we're talking about, not a chassis cab. But I didn't check before turning over the money and signing the paperwork. Now I own a 7000 lb paperweight. But wait! There's more! When I had questions about those dealer installed options (actually customer installed, but why split hairs), thinking that they wouldn't work with the truck (I was wrong, but they didn't know I was wrong either--I only found out after I dove into the installation literature)--the General Sales Manager decided it was a good idea to argue with me. Even when I said we should wait and ask the master tech. The funny thing is that I actually got insulted when he suggested we rescind and unwind the deal. Ironically, that was the nicest and smartest thing he said, and I will forever regret not taking him up on it. Now, it isn't easy to admit I'm a fool. Maybe I expect too much, but it would have been nice if, after telling them I was going to pull a bobcat loader with the truck, someone would have mentioned that, despite any assumption to the contrary, trying to do such a thing with THAT truck could be deadly -- and illegal. Don't get me wrong, not all is lost. In fact, it's probably the best thing because the glitch with the software on the truck itself can disconnect the trailer brake controller installed at the factory from the truck's defective computer. Just like it was never installed in the first place. I suppose this issue will make the news in the not-too-distant future. Lawsuits aplenty. So the good here is that I can get a trailer brake controller that actually works and won't kill anyone. In closing, I shall never again do any business with Leith, I will never take the truck to Leith for warranty work, and I will at every opportunity warn others to stay as far away from Leith as humanly possible.

Capital Ford is an outstanding dealership. Joseph helped us find the car we wanted and then answered all our questions. There are a lot of choices on the screen, and Joseph made sure we were comfortable with the car before we bought it. The manager of Capital Ford also allowed us to drive the vehicle to my mother's house, so we could make sure she could get in the passenger seat with no trouble. Very poor service department. They had the truck 4 days to replace a catalytic converter. I have had to contact them as they have not reached out to me at all to update me. The part is in but they have not the time to get it done per service department rep. Never again will I take truck to them. This is my work vehicle that I make my living with.

I called on a truck i seen listed. They were close to my home and thought I would deal with a local dealer. I spoke with a salesman named Al Mendez. He said he could do better than the price I seen listed. He told a price. I came in drove the truck. I asked him a few questions and now I realize he evaded answering them. I gave him a credit application although I was going through my credit union. He came back and said everything is good. He gave me the paperwork and the price was different it was much higher than he told me. I asked about the price. He said he could not sell it for what he said. We had a discussion, then Al went and got the sales manager. I was pressured into buying the truck, and when i said no. He got an attitude. the sales manager asked Al about the price he gave me. Al said he was not sure did not remember. Total B S here. Al misled me on price and super high pressure. I did not buy a truck from them and recommend you do not go to Pittsboro Ford.

I purchased a new 2025 Mustang GT RTR Spec 3 (28 miles) from these guys-the undercarriage, exhaust, harmonic balancer and rotors were rusted like the car sat in the elements for months. I traveled from Pennsylvania to purchase this vehicle and when I tried to have the issue remedied with management, but they told me it wasn't their problem and blamed the upfitter. But the car was purchased from Capital Rocky Mount Ford, and they should have caught this before they sold the vehicle. Contrary to what their website says, THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND EVERY VEHICLE THEY SELL. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

Was called and told that they had found a car that fitted what I was interested in, but said I would have to wait until it went through their shop to get checked out and that it would be set aside for me to be the first one to come look at and initially purchase, so after not hearing from them in almost a week I called to see if the car was ready to be looked at and found out that they had sold the car and when I asked why they didn’t call me as they had told me they would they all (customer care manager, sales manager and salesman) lied about what happened. The car belonged to them so it was no need to lie about it. It’s some way to treat a customer who had purchased 3 vehicles from them in the pass, but I’m doubtful if I’ll ever purchase another one from them.

This is going to be lengthy, but I feel it is worth the read for anyone. For over a year now, I have been taking my Ford Explorer to a different local dealer to diagnose a noise. They told me immediately that the noise was a wheel bearing and they had it in stock on the first visit. When I left, the noise was still there. I went back immediately and they said that my "tires were shot". Three days later I notice the wheel, where the repair was just completed, to be dripping with grease. I took it back in and they told me (after 3 days) that the axle shaft was broken.... after picking it up from that repair, the noise was still there. I was advised that I still needed to replace my tires and to get an alignment. After the alignment and new tires, the noise was not only still there, it was worse... and even worse, the vehicle pulled to the right and the steering wheel was not straight. I took it back and had a second alignment done and was assured that it was fixed, but it wasn't... it just kept getting worse. Now, the vehicle drove crooked down the road in addition to the steering wheel and now worse noise. Being completely devastated and at my wits end, I drove just a tad farther to Scenic Ford Lincoln. I had about an hour conversation with the assistant manager of service and scheduled an appointment for the next week. After that appointment, My Explorer is FIXED and drives/rides like a new car, and the noise is gone! I cannot begin to tell you how welcoming and resolving this experience was with Scenic Ford! They have earned my business and I will continue to visit them for my routine maintenance needs and repairs! I have found my new Ford dealer, who does not pass me off like just another number in line!
