I recently bought a vehicle from Covert Ford, and I was very satisfied with the sales process, everything was thorough, and I got in and out pretty quickly. This review is more about the dealership itself more than the sales process, like most people will usually write about. Only one word describes this dealership: Old. This dealership is in need of a renovation BADLY. Their smaller dealership, Covert Ford of Hutto, looks WAY more modern and inviting than their main Covert location in Austin. The sales floor looks like it’s stuck in the 80’s, the service advisors are working out of CLOSETS, and the parts “department”, if you can call it that, it’s literally a small room with a mini office. The formal “delivery” area is three small parking stalls at the front of the dealership. I don’t get it, their Bee Cave GMC dealer is BRAND NEW and looks AMAZING, but their main Ford dealership, looks so incredibly run down and old! Because of the old layout of the dealer, and how run down it looks, it doesn’t seem like a very inviting place for me to bring my vehicle for service. I’d rather go to Mac Haik in Georgetown where the dealership looks very inviting, modern, and in a nice area. Sales process and deals are great at this dealer, the dealership itself, is in DIRE need of a makeover.

We have been blessed to have contacts at various dealerships over the years where we were treated well, but this experience was the best of all. They met us with the sales manager when we walked in the door, had an offer on our trade before we could sit down, and helped us locate an additional vehicle for a family member (did I mention multiple follow ups for us on the vehicle for our family member). We closed the purchase and will close the other purchase when the located vehicle arrives! Can't say enough about these wonderful ladies!!! basically drove an hour on my only off day, to have mediocre lunch at this dealership. Countless times and to multiple individuals that I came in contact with I informed that this is my only day off, I would like to start the process and at least know if there is an approval on the table before making such a journey. I was passed from sales person to internet manager, and was guaranteed approval. Discussed down payment, and given a rate though not exact an estimate of my note. I was assured and reassured that I was simply coming in to test drive and then speak with finance to finalize numbers. That couldn’t have been more inaccurate. My appointment was set for 1:30pm, at 1:33 I was looking for parking but being called to confirm if I was still coming in. But it was not disclosed that the vehicle that I was coming in for. Was sold that morning. I was told because I was on such a crunch for time to send all paperwork over, which I did beforehand. Inaccuracy. I was informed the cars that potentially I was interested would be pulled around. Inaccuracy. Optimistic, I thought that things happen it could have just been a busy morning. The lobby was ghetto, the receptionist was cursing on her personal phone. Other customers cursing at salespeople for being rude . Meanwhile there’s a kitchen in the middle of the showroom floor . After the test drive of a vehicle that I ended up liking, that was in the same range of the vehicle, and had recently been reduced , I sat and waited. I have about a 2 hour window and ran through that rather quickly before having to let them know I’d have to come back . About 15 mins into my drive back into town, I get a text message telling me that I was approved for a vehicle I never saw, showed interest in, or was even made aware. So how did they approve me for that? The entire time I was looking at at midsized SUVS. The car that they came back with an approval for was a 2door Dodge challenger. My next options were a Nissan Kicks and Chevrolet Trax. The car originally that I stopped in for was a Ford Mustang Mach E, then a Mercedes GL. Understandably sometimes people have different credit restrictions or capabilities. But if I’ve given you authorization to run my credit before I get there to avoid then why not take if to avoid upsetting a customer. But the thought of getting a customer in, and then bullying them into a vehicle with the promise of upgrading in a few months when realistically that’s never done. Its dishonest and frustrating because they harass you to get in when in that time they could have been verifying if the promises made were even doable or if the car was even available Then on top of that I was asked to come up with 2.5 times more of a down payment than I originally came into the dealership to spend. I informed them if they could work with me and defer the down payment 2 weeks then sure. They immediately came back with no. And asked for a cosignor , while blaming everything on the banks. I’ve not been in contact with the banks, I’ve been speaking with your personnel as the liaison. The POC and liaison was in charge of providing true and accurate information and they were unsuccessful in doing so resulting in an awful experience and someone who will always tell others of this story so that others won’t have their time wasted. In this age and the economy that we’re currently in, consumers should be given more respect for their time, especially when it’s disclosed on multiple occasions where they stand. All of these questions were asked and would have saved me time and copious amounts of frustration . The internet Director , Edwin (sales rep) were amazing at following up and confirming that my time would be wasted. They completely dropped the ball when it came to setting realistic expectations, underpromising and overdelivering, proactively listening to customer concerns, and accountability. Don’t waste your time, unless you just want to go have a torta in an uncomfortable environment

I need to take truck in for warranty work at 31K miles, and the best offer they have on a loaner while my vehicle is getting serviced for safety recalls and warranty work with my sunroof falling apart is 2-3 months out. No sense of urgency nor a sense of caring about the customer after the purchase.

Very dishonest Finance Manager, and the General Manager - I was told that I could cancel the Extended Warranty at any time and get a refund...after purchasing the EW and paying for it with my credit card because I didn't want it to be part of my loan payment, even though he convince me to added to loan contract but said it not part of the loan - that should have been a red flag for me then - after a week without ever using it I decided I was going to cancel it. I talk with the finance manager about cancel it, and, he told me I had two options to cancel it...one option was to get a refund, but, it will go toward my loan balance, which will reduce the amount I owe...and my other option was to refinance, and, I will get the refund back after refinancing. I told him he never discussed that with me, so I requested to speak with the general manager, and, after explaining everything to him, I told him in good faith that I should receive my refund back to my credit card, but, he agreed with the finance manager said there's nothing he could do. I asked for a copy of the terms and conditions, it says, “You may cancel this Agreement at any time and for any reason, and you will be entitled to a refund from Us, as described below. (1) If We or the Selling Dealer receive a written cancellation request, on or before the 30th day from the Signature Date and no claim has been filed under this Agreement, this Agreement will be void, and You will be entitled to a refund equal to the full Purchase Price You paid for this Agreement.” Because I don't trust them anymore, I refinanced my loan, but I haven't gotten a refund for my credit card.

They put a new battery in before I headed out. Nobody would would admit they messed up. They saw that the battery was at 46 % life and let me drive out with it. Glad my phone app caught it.

We are from south Texas and we were in Mount Pleasant visiting my son . As we were getting ready to head south our air conditioning on our 2023 expedition started to act up and only blow hot air . 3:00 pm on a Friday and 500 miles from home and heater on full blast would have been an unbearable drive. We rolled in to dealership and I must say I have never been treated better. They took it in and worked their magic and an hour later we had cold ac and vehicle was fixed . I know its under warranty and however we bought our vehicle in south texas . They could of easily said we are busy come back Monday however they went above and beyond. We blew out two tires and damaged a rim on Hwy20 on our way to Florida. We had to find a Ford dealer and a tow truck close by. Bianca in the service department was able to find tires and a new rim. They dropped us off at our hotel nearby. Also, they picked us up the next day. We feel that Bianca went out of her way to make us feel welcomed, reducing our stress. Bianca kept in contact with us throughout the ordeal, even when we were waiting for the tow truck on the side of the road.Bianca was very knowledgeable about what was needed. She knows her stuff. She topped it off with a car wash! Very refreshing to see someone with great work ethic! Thank you!!!
