Beginning in October 2024, the audio in our brand new - LFS91

Beginning in October 2024, the audio in our brand new Ford Escape PHEV purchased at Empire Ford in Huntington began working only intermittently. After three trips to that shop in which they had the car for a total of about five weeks, they did not repair it, even though each time we picked it up we were told it was fixed. Then the Navigation Fault showed up. I called Ford corporate. Tech there said take it to a different shop. Best advice ever. Steve understood the problem, the audio was fixed with updates in one visit, and the navigation fixed the next week. As I waited, Steve kept me (as well as everyone else waiting) frequently updated on progress. He is a consummate professional and has a great tech team working with him. Steve will be in charge of all our future maintenance work.

Each time I needed or requested a loaner vehicle when bringing my vehicle in for service, it's unclear whether or not a loaner is available and it's unclear what their policy is for the loaner vehicle. Please describe the loaner vehicle policy up front. I tried to be proactive by bringing my vehicle in a day early and using a loaner car over night. Nobody explained to me that the duration you can have the loaner vehicle depends on the type of service you get. I was told the morning before that Otto had 3 loaners available, I took a detour from work that morning only to find out that the loaner cars were not available and I ended up wasting my time. Another suggestion I have, and it's my fault because I should have better explained my situation. I dropped my truck off in the morning for service, expecting to get it back over lunch and have enough time. I work about 15 minutes away and get 45 minutes for lunch. They decided to give me a carwash right as I got there, and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes on my lunch break to get my vehicle back. I appreciate the complimentary carwash/vacuuming, but the dealer should ask if I have enough time for that. Next time I come in, I will coordinate to have more time.

I didn’t realize that I had scheduled my appointment for the wrong day and when I brought my car in, they told me that my appointment was actually in 2 weeks, which was the earliest time slot I had seen online. I said that it was urgent and if there was any earlier appointments and they took my car in that same day and had it done before the end of the day. Super appreciative of the friendly staff and the great customer service! Thank you again!
