Hassle-Free Experience - Caraba
Nothing could have gone any smoother with the experience I had at Gates Nissan! My [now previous] car had been totaled during a snowstorm and Tara/Gates Nissan had me in a new vehicle within one day of my initial call to them. - They were more helpful than my own dealership, where I'd gotten my my [now totaled] Impala lease from!
Tara was responsive, always available, and answered questions as they arose (even by text!). I was worried about getting approved for a car and even more worried about changing from a car maker/company I was comfortable with. From the first call I made to her, she made me feel like I always had options -she never said no and offered alternatives and resolutions to issues as they arose (crucial to good customer service and unfortunately, typically often lacking).
Tara made the process feel like a collaborative effort, in which we were working as a team towards a mutual goal - to get me back on the road ASAP. Everything was decided WITH Me; not decided For Me or About Me. It can often feel like it is the needs of the dealer(s) that determines what "works" for the customer, but Not in this case!
The whole experience was concise, to the point, and LITERALLY hassle-free. A total of two, maybe three hours of my life were spent, from start to finish, in getting me my new car. I called Tara just before closing on a Saturday and that Monday afternoon I was driving myself to work. (It would have been that Sunday, the very next day, but I was unavailable). :-)
The typical car buying process can take DAYS of nonstop annoying phone calls, back and forth emails, websurfing, negotiations, sleepless nights, an ever-nagging feeling of indecision, etc, etc. It doesn't have to be this way. It SHOULDN'T have to be this way! Thank you Gates Nissan.

I was not happy to be spending money but Victor Colon at Miller Nissan was an absolute pleasure to work with! I told him my all-in budge and the car I was looking for and he found me exactly what I asked for and keep me within my budget. Before meeting Victor, I was worried that I would be pressured into spending more than I wanted to but he was respectful of my budget and did not pressure me at all. I recently relocated to CT and saying it's been rough is an understatement. When I got to the point I needed a car, this was my first stop. Right from the get go I was greeted warmly and got excellent treatment from the staff, shout out to Mike G and Pedro who were incredibly understanding and helpful. My situation was a difficult one, but they found a way to accommodate my needs and I walked out with the car I needed in record time! The one negative... was with the paper work. Fix your printer or print to another one! The pages of documents for my files have blots of printer stains - I had to scan and send to someone - very unprofessional looking - I would have rather had clean documents simply scanned to me. Not okay.
But most importantly - I love the car!

I was very excited about getting a new vehicle, as I had owned an older Nissan Sentra (2008) and was looking forward to getting a newer Sentra, as such I was very patient and friendly with this dealership and was not treated with the same respect to fix the issues that were caused or made worse by inattentiveness. Day of purchase my last name is misspelled causing me to be at the dealership from 11am to 6pm, no problem - i was very patient because things happen. It was made explicitly clear that I wished to keep my plates, this wish was not followed - new plates were put on. I explain I feel strongly on keeping my plates - I had dealer plates on my car for a day short of a month. After 3 weeks I called and left a message with the finance manager David who was taking care of the matter over a 4 day time-span 3 times and did not receive a call back. Instead I physically showed up to the dealership no less than 7 times, maybe more - enough for the majority of the front floor's staff to know my name and joke about me working there. Mind you, I was friendly and patient this entire time. After I had had enough, almost at a month mark I went to DMV myself, took all of 20 minutes and $20 (which Manchester Nissan refunded, but failed to refund the $75 DMV charge which they agreed to and have apparently forgotten). In addition to all of this, I agreed to purchase this vehicle so long as they detailed the stains on the ceiling - it was agreed....I sat in the dealership for 4 hours at one instance, and just short of 2 hours on the second instance for them to take the stains out of the ceiling - which they finally did...but not without ruining the ceiling so that it is 'tufted' and looks like someone scrubbed to it with a ton of elbow grease. My last visit there I was treated as if I was the inconvenience, when my experience leasing my 2014 Sentra which should have taken a day - took a month, and I ultimately fixed the hold up with DMV by driving to the DMV myself and still ending up paying the $75 DMV service charge because my experience was not respected enough for them to follow up and make sure this issue was fixed, and/or they forgot. I hate to write this review as my initial impression was of very friendly people ( which they were) and great customer service, but unfortunately I was not left feeling good about my experience.

We had AMAZING service! Steve Hamzy was our sales employee and he made us feel very comfortable with our purchase. He was friendly, answered all our questions and took interest in our situation. I left that night feeling great about our purchase! We had just previously had a horrible experience at another dealer and it was like night and day between the two places. We will definitely be doing our car purchasing with Hoffman from here on out!!! We also worked with Wally for the paperwork and he was wonderful! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. :-)

The service is so bad . They make you believe you get everything done the way you have agreed till you reach the last step of signing the papers. I have been told that I have to pay $ 2000 down payment in order for them to hold the car for me. I agreed and later went in to sign all the necessary paperwork to get the deal done. But that was a mistake because after getting there the whole story has changed. The car was supposed to be on my business name and we had agreed on monthly payments. After all was done they came and said if the car is put under the business name the payments would change , which they did not say the first time I was there and before they collected the down payment. The deal went down and I asked for my refund. The manager came in and tried to sell his story how it works and got mad because he thought he sold the car . The finance guy was yelling out of his room across me saying stuff that I really did not hear. Overall the customer service was so bad and disrespectful , they do not know how to treat the customers . BAD Management and finance guy needs to learn how to respect customers .

This is my second car purchased here but our third Nissan with this dealership they all know my name from the moment I walk in and all the work I do with them in the last four years. They remember returning customers and work with them to give them the best deal possible. From the moment they pulled my car off the road due to safety reasons to giving me a loaner they take care of you. Awesome fair good dealership. They even love my dog when she visits them often.

It was my first time financing a car. I bought it for my wife and kids to be safe and have reliable transportation. I got an awesome deal and warranty from Girard nissan. Salesmans name was Carlo. He was very helpful and friendly. No pressure, no hassle, great service. I must say that all stories i have heard about dealerships are not true.
