I am very happy to write this review for A1 Toyota... - Jane K.
I am very happy to write this review for A1 Toyota dealership in Woodbridge CT. I recently left another dealership that I went to for 20+ years. Sadly, things drastically changed there, and unfortunately not for the better! I am so very fortunate, and very much appreciate now being a part of A1 Toyota! They treat their customers with the utmost respect and genuinely care about them as well!
I have had my car serviced there three times now and just recently purchased 4 new tires and had an alignment done. Dan Wheeler (Assistant Parts and Services Director) is wonderful to his customers and takes pride in making sure they are satisfied.
During this very difficult time of dealing with COVID 19 and being extremely cautious about where I go, I feel very comfortable going to this dealership! EVERYONE wears a mask and is very cognizant about distancing and being careful when interacting with their customers!
Along with being vigilant they are also very accommodating and care that their customers feel comfortable and safe. I have fortunately found a new dealership that I am happy to be a part of. I feel totally supported at A1 therefore, I will be totally supportive of them as well. I wrote this review because I am a firm believer that loyalty is a reciprocal relationship and that allegiance should work both ways! They are an honest, caring and well run family owned dealership!

Top notch service! - Cathy_wynne
Today was my third visit to Gale Toyota and once again, I am very impressed by their customer service and repair of my Toyota Tacoma. Their estimate of cost and time to repair was spot on and the waiting room was comfortable and Internet access perfect so I could work while I waited. Thanks for making this easy. I’ll be back.
16 years of fantastic,professional & friendly service - Godislove
I've had dozens of excellent, professional, courteous and friendly service work over a 16 year period. ALWAYS treated like a valued customer, ALWAYS treated with respect and kindness. In return, I have also treated them exactly the same.
No bad experiences here at all, unlike Crowley in Forestville, who took my money and gave me the WORST experience in car service in my entire 58 years.
Stephens is a cut above the rest.
Organized, professional and articulate.
Biggest mistake I made was not buying my new car at Stephens.
I've never had one single bad experience.

Staff is super friendly. I appreciate that they check everything when you bring it in because I had no idea that a mouse had made a nest in the cabin filter. Yuck! Just had a bed extender added. Thank you Nick.
Tune up, Tires, Brakes - surferboy
I brought my 10 year old Camry to Toyota of Greenwich because the Maintenance light came on. At 59,000 miles, it was just about due for it's 60,000 mile check up, so I had that done. It needed tires as well, which was no surprise to me as I had a tough time getting around in the snow this past winter. It needed new brakes as well which added to the overall bill, but mindful that it IS a 10 year old car and has never had anything other than normal maintenance done since I bought it, was a warranted safety job. It's still in great condition, and has never given me a problem. I would recommend Toyota Camry , as well as recommending Greenwich Toyota. I've always had our Toyotas serviced there (we have 4) and they've always been great with timely servicing and rectifying any issues to my satisfaction.

When the Prius first hit the market we called several dealerships. Each one was charging thousands of dollars over sticker and the wait for delivery was about 6 months. When we called Dowling they were charging sticker and we had our Prius in less than 2 weeks. I bought my second Prius in 2017 and gave my cousin our 2005, which is still in terrific shape. I would never buy a car anywhere else. I trust every one of the staff.

I had to take my 1 year old Toyota Hybrid in for it's first servicing. Really bad experience at the service department.
Absolutely the worst in my 40 years of owning cars. Had to speak to Sales Manager to get the service area to not charge me for something that had been defective since purchase and which I had several times promised would be free to replace. Plus the service guy Willie kept talking down to me.
Wow. Just really awful experience.

Since moving to the area we’ve regularly brought our vehicles to Girard for service. Rose and Caitlin are always very friendly and develop a personal relationship with each client, rather than treating them like just another service appointment on their schedules. Each time we’ve been greeted with a “good to see you again” or “how’s it going?” before even getting down to business. They take the time to find out why you’re bringing the vehicle in, take detailed notes of anything you’re concerned about, and will thoroughly discuss any issues found or upcoming service items without trying to push you into doing something or confusing you with complicated technical jargon. Rose and Caitlin are amazing to work with and we would definitely recommend them.

Iwanted to wait until my truck was fixed before writting this review. This dealerships Service Manager was extremly mean and unprofessional. The only person who was understanding was a young man by the name of Evan. Service manager was so degrading I called Toyota Corp. at which time I was directed to Toyota of Colchester who were so amazing and kind. My Tacoma had a recall for a new frame and Service Manager Chris D. in Middletown refused to take care of me. I have had 3 Toyotas and have never had to deal with such a mean condescending man. Never would I recommendthis dealership. The only reason for 1 star is because of the kindness shown by Evan.
CUSTOMER SERVICE LACKING - disillusioned
Beware when you ask for an estimate from the Service dept. over the phone. You're not actually speaking w a service advisor, you're talking to an appointment coordinator who failed to disclose that when you replace the rear struts, you also need an alignment, which is another $110. That was a surprise when I dropped off the vehicle. I would have gone w a different estimate if I had known this up front. And then the Shuttle vehicle that they use to give you a ride home & pick you up later was disgusting. The front passenger seat had some nasty oil stains on it like they use it to put oily parts on it & the vehicle had trash in it. It looked like it has'nt been cleaned in years. Definitely not a good first impression.

Big nope. Michael s and Michael in finance were great but I was lied to about my second key for a deal that was cash and already paid for before I set foot on the lot. I was told it was "ordered" and treated like I have no idea it would need to be programmed upon arrival. All you get here is the run around. Dan their gsm is incompetent and acted like he's doing me a big favor ordering the key I PAID FOR again before even arriving on the lot. Not how you treat a customer. I was lied to and jerked around, I wouldn't come here ever again and I'll be sure to let everyone know how crappy it was.
written estimates - not happy
Brought vehicle in for check engine light code p1349. They tried to get light to come on all morning called at two was told car was on the road. Went there five minutes later and it hadn't moved. Took car home for weekend and brought back following week .code was present. Was told sensors needed to be replaced I asked which ones manager wasn't sure but thought they were in cylinder heads. They had one sensor and could get the other one in the morning. Called later to find out exactly what sensor he was talking about and was told oil control valves. I questioned the time it took to replace them knowing it's an hour tops and price went down 150 bucks. Looked at sensors next day and noticed one was newer than the other one. Told manager front sensor should not have been bad because it was only two years old. Manager said he only knew what technicians tell him . It would have indicated p1354 code for front bank.
Car maintenance - Ilovesummer
Took my 2017 Camry for the 1st maintenance which was for tire rotation. Was disappointed because my appointment was for 12 noon and didn't get out till 1:50. Not quite sure why I had an appointment.
Terrible Job / Excessively Long - Bad Choice
I was talked into going to this shop by my insurance company. That was a mistake. It took the shop 32 days to do a 9 day repair. They never called to update me on the progress, the only way to find out what was going on was to keep calling myself. That is a long time to be paying for a rental car. When I did finally get my car back the paint did not match, the body panels where misaligned, there was damage to the interior, a pile of screws was left in the cup holder from who knows where, the windows did not all work, the wheel was rubbing and they charged me $700 for a set of tires I did not want. This was such a terrible job I won’t even go back there to have them fix it. I do not want them anywhere near my car again. Surprising that this is shop can stay in business.
