This is my first review. I've been a customer for over 3 years. Just had my oil changed last week. Melissa greeted me. I explained that every time I had my oil changed, the guys left an oil mark or two on my off white upholstery. She said she would let them know. I left really pleased! No oil marks. PLUS Melissa was sure to give me the current discount and asked if I wanted my rewards applied. Absolutely! Melissa made me feel appreciated! That was a first. I am driving from Dayton. When I pulled up in the morning, I was about the 5th car in a long line for a scheduled routine service appointment. I told them I had to wait on the car so if it wasn't going to be done in 2 hours I would take a loaner car and come back the next day. 2 1/2 hours later I was told it needed new brakes and a light fixed (which I told them about from the beginning). It would take a "good" hour. I declined the repair and asked for my car back so I could make the hour return trip to Dayton. I gave THEM the option so that they could have a satisfied customer. Half of a day was used up and I still did not receive the complete maintenance I needed. It will have to wait until spring when I have another day to waste.

UPDATE: I had a great experience working with Bennie who worked very hard with me and his team to figure out what happened and to resolve the issue. I would go back knowing that the GM wants to provide the best experience for their customers. ORIGINAL POST: Very bad experience with dishonest service. I took my Outback to get serviced and was informed that I needed my rear brake pads replaced for $494. I informed them that they were replaced at Germain 20k miles ago and the response was, "Oh I didn't look at the history but I will check with the tech." After checking with the tech he said that my brake pads were at 4mm even though the inspection sheet indicated that they were above 5mm and that they only recommend replacement at 3mm. My question is why would they tell me I needed to replace when I was above their 3mm threshold? I talked with the manager and he told me that this is a known issue (up-selling) that he is trying to address. It's horrible that a business that people NEED to trust are out scamming people at a time when so many people are out of the job. If you must go here, be vigilent and ask questions.

Long time client of Cascade Subaru - two cars purchased and decades of service work. Unfortunately, their approach to service, at least on the Subaru side, has slowly gone downhill culminating with my recent experience.
In to get some clunking fixed, which I assumed was the ball joints, and it was. $425 to replace. However, was also read a litany of other work that "needed" done totaling close to $2500. I asked for a breakdown along with costs that took a couple hours to received over two trys. Over half the recommended service was a "caution" category, most due "by time and/or mileage".
That's not so bad other than the cost. Without sharing details but being advised by some mechanic friends the estimates were very high, I finally went to a well respected local shop. Total for all service there? $700.
What's the worst about all of this that has made me finally switch and actually makes me mad? They recommended the 120K service (for $600), THEN broke out items that would be included in the service and quoted them separately as well. Yea - let's get paid twice for doing something.
No thanks - you've lost a customer and gained someone who will advise friends and family to go elsewhere.

I was met at the door before I even walked in to the dealership. I was shown the perfect car for me and I took it out for a spin. I didn't want the salesman with me to see I was going home for my checkbook! The whole process was so easy and hassle free. The customer service at this place is way better than I expected. I can call on them for any issue or problem which would only be figuring out all the " bells and whistles" on this awesome vehicle. I recommend this dealership. I am a woman buying a car on my own. I never felt that they were taking advantage of that. I love my subaru. This is coming from someone who qualifies for a G M employee discount!

air conditioner not working cool air coming out of just one dash vent Was told it just needed recharged $ 160. But then after they had it decided it needed a knew condenser for $800.00. I told them I would pass. Then I was told that I would still have to pay $160.00 plus tax for the recharge that they did. I paid them $177.38 and drove home. Air still exactly the same. I went on YouTube and watched video on how to recharge and then went to Walmart and for $19.88 plus tax purchased recharge kit and followed instruction. Air conditioner now blowing cold air out of all vents just like new. What do you think? Liars and thieves ?

I have free oil changes, so I keep going back, but several bad experiences! I waited an hour and half and when I asked if it was almost ready they had it parked behind several cars. It wasn't even started! Another time they lost my keys! It always takes longer than they say. I will never go back. I will pay somewhere else!
