I agreed on the telephone with Jim Baxter, the self-described "Internet Manager" at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM of Klamath Falls Oregon, to buy a RAM 1500 truck for the online advertised price of $45,930 plus DMV taxes/registration and $150 doc fee. Mr. Baxter told me he would send me a "quote" the next day. The "quote" sent to me the next day was $7,191 more than the price Mr. Baxter and I had agreed on. Mr. Baxter lied to me when he assured me there would be "no surprises", if I concurred on them running my credit report (which came back well into the "excellent" range). He caused my credit score to be adversely affected, wasted my time, and disappointed me. I have learned through this unfortunate experience that Jim Baxter and Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM of Klamath Falls are not among the many trustworthy sellers in the Pacific Northwest. I would encourage you to avoid this dealership, and Jim Baxter, and find honest people to deal with.

Purchased a certain type of Jeep model I and been searching about 4 months for from Jim Doren in McMinnville, OR. I knew the market for the vehicle I was after but found most dealers to be way over priced, both new and used.
When I contacted this dealership via auto trader. I was promptly contacted back by one of their friendly sales people. We talked about the model they had that I was interested in. We did a bit of negotiating and arrived at a very fair number for both of us.
I flew to McMinnville, later that same week to close the deal and pick up the vehicle. The salesman picked me up at PDX and drove me to the dealership which is about 45 miles SW of Portland, OR. There were no surprises and everything in the transaction went smoothly. There was no baloney going through their finance department either. No hard selling, and no deception. Everything was straight and accurate.
This was as pleasant of an experience as I've ever had doing a new car deal.

Disappointed with my experience at this dealership. We were pushed around between multiple sales associates and they kept showing me cars I said I didn’t want. When I asked for PO for specific car so I could get a check from my credit union they said they couldn’t do that and could only provide a total sale quote. They also said they couldn’t hold the car for me and it would be on the car lot until I come back with the check. The sale quote did not work for the underwriter and I had to scramble and get a PO and hope the car I wanted hasn’t sold yet. It took them way too long to get the quote and I was stressed with the whole process. In the end, I bought the car but they took 3 weeks to fix rear view mirror so I couldn’t drive it the car since it was not road legal with missing rear view mirror.

He made grand promises of discounts and deals and more, all for none of that to materialize when it came time to sign the final contract. Oh but wait, if I was wiling to buy ANOTHER car from them, they surely would put all those discounts and deals in the next car. Sure enough, squat - so I didn't buy the second car.

Ok, this is part 2 of my first review, so my 2021 Charger Scat Pack Widebody the one I special ordered did come in and was 11 days early. The buying process went just as good as them buying my trade before the new one came in. Ask for Skylar Hibsch, She is very good at responding to emails and answering questions and such a joy to work with. She made the car buying experience so fun and easy. I also worked with David Rhay in finance and signing papers, he is also very knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with. They both care about the customer and want us to be happy. I have had a lot of new cars over the years and dealt with most of the big dealerships in the Portland area, this is probably my most enjoyable car buying experience. Thank you all very much!!

Was having issue with truck, wouldn’t turn. Got it to dodge and had a service front desk man come look at it. He told me was an electrical issue and couldn’t get it in til Monday. Said I could drive it if it started. I was not buying it, but made apt. Anyway. Truck wouldn’t start so asked a worker, Casey, oil change guy, if he could help, he was GREAT! Actually was able to take a few minutes to not only jump my truck but he helped figure out the problem, battery. He even installed it for me! He took his time to help and listen but the people in service desk cared less, just wanted to schedule me and leave me stranded! parts lady was also fantastic! Your service men upfront need to learn how to care! Instead wanted to just get me for money! Thank you Casey! You were a big Help! He should be working more with the public in service than who is there now!

I would like to recognize Legacy Dodge as a 5 star Dealership based on my experiences. I have never had a more positive auto buying experience ever! They didn't have exactly what I wanted so they looked elsewhere; finding the truck I wanted in Washington. I got an excellent deal, and I know that as I had done some price checking. Robb Gregory, Sales Associate, and Nick, Auto Appraiser, were fair straight and upfront, without any playing any games. They delivered the truck to me and gave me a loaner to drive while I waited for mine to get here. The entire team including finance were friendly!
I recently went to the dealership to get my mirror replaced and spoke to James in Parts, who was professional and courteous in getting the mirror ordered and scheduling me to get it fixed. The Service Department as well were courteous, friendly and efficient. It is obvious that the mission of this dealership is courteous customer service. I highly recommend Legacy Dodge to everyone!
