Zero integrity. Zero accountability. Avoid at all costs. I arranged to fly in from out of state to purchase a car from this dealership. The deal was worked out, flights were booked, and the dealership itself had even arranged a ride for me from the airport. Everything was set. Then, two days before my trip, I received a one-line email from the salesman I'd been working with: "The Audi Q7 you where interested just sold." That's it. No phone call. No apology. No acknowledgment that I had spent money on flights and rearranged my schedule based on our agreement. Not even an offer to make it right — no alternative vehicles, no reimbursement for travel costs, nothing. Just a single throwaway sentence with a typo. This dealership had no problem rolling out the red carpet when they thought they were closing a sale — arranging airport pickups and all — but the moment someone else waved cash in their face, I ceased to exist. They will gladly waste your time, your money, and your trust if a better offer walks through the door. If you're considering buying from here, especially from out of state, think twice. A dealership that treats customers like this doesn't deserve your business.

My experience with Texan Hyundai was extremely disappointing and I would strongly advise buyers to be very cautious before purchasing from this dealership. On November 24, 2025, I purchased a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy from this dealership for around $70,000. At the time I trusted the dealership’s pricing and assumed it reflected the fair market value of the vehicle. Just three months later, on February 28, 2026, I returned to the same dealership to explore selling the vehicle. The car had only about 3,500 miles and was in essentially new condition. The dealership told me the maximum they could offer was $49,000. That represents a loss of more than $20,000 in just three months, which is extremely difficult to justify for a vehicle that is practically new. When I questioned this, I was told that such depreciation is “normal for Hyundai vehicles,” which was both surprising and concerning. While I understand that new vehicles depreciate, a 30% drop in value in three months suggests that the vehicle may have been significantly overpriced at the time of sale. This experience left me feeling that the dealership’s pricing practices were not transparent. Buyers should carefully research market prices and resale values before purchasing here.

The oil change was faster than usually. My biggest issue with the dealership is that they do not answer the phone nor return phone calls. Irbtook two weeks for me to get through to schedule an oil change. While waiting for my vehicle, two other customers spoke to me, and both experienced the same difficulties.

normally do not leave reviews, but credit should be given where it is deserved. The service department used to be an absolute dumpster fire. Over the years, there had to have been at least eight different managers come and go, constant turnover, inconsistency, poor communication, and very little accountability. The one constant through all of it was Lauren. Lauren has been there for at least four years, and she has always been wonderful — professional, patient, knowledgeable, and someone who genuinely cared even when the environment around her was chaotic. She deserves a tremendous amount of credit for holding things together during some very rough periods. That said, since Josh took over as the new service manager, the entire atmosphere has noticeably changed for the better. He brought structure, accountability, communication, and professionalism back to the department. You can tell he actually cares about both the customers and the employees, and that leadership has completely shifted the energy of the place. For the first time in a long time, the service department feels organized, responsive, and trustworthy again. Josh has truly turned the place around, and paired with Lauren’s consistency and dedication, they have become a great team. Well done to both of them.

After more than 15 years of leasing vehicles, this was by far the worst dealership experience I have ever had. What should have been an exciting moment—finally getting a vehicle I had been wanting for a long time—turned into a very disappointing and frustrating experience. During the signing process, the mileage allowance on my lease was lowered without clear transparency, which I did not discover until later. In addition, the dealership failed to process the return of my previous leased vehicle in a timely manner, which resulted in me paying for two vehicles for an entire month while only in possession of one. To make matters worse, I repeatedly asked the dealership to reimburse me for the extra charges I incurred because they returned my prior vehicle to Nissan late. I was repeatedly told that Nissan would take care of reimbursing me, yet that never happened. Those assurances turned out to be inaccurate, and no one took responsibility for resolving the issue. What concerns me most is the lack of accountability, communication, and honesty I experienced from the staff and leadership. These issues should never happen in a professional dealership environment, especially when customers are making significant financial commitments. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this dealership to others. I am sharing this review as a warning for anyone considering doing business here, so you can make an informed decision and hopefully avoid a similar experience.

The online pricing was not transparent, but they ended up honoring it after we nearly walked out. initial financing was terrible and not very transparent, however Blanca Esquivel saved the day. At the end of the day, we got the truck we wanted at the price we wanted, but it was not as smooth and stress free as I would have hoped. 5 stars overall because of Jada and Bianca.

I had a very disappointing experience at Toyota of Denton involving Service Advisor Jayce Pollan. I originally came in for an oil change, but another advisor, Austin, informed me that I did not yet need one and instead recommended a coolant replacement service. We reviewed a coupon together and agreed on a price of approximately $149 plus tax. However, when the final bill was presented, it came out to around $189. When I calmly explained that this was not the agreed price and asked about the additional charges, Jayce Pollan became rude, dismissive, and confrontational rather than trying to resolve the issue professionally. During the interaction: * He told me I would not be allowed to take my vehicle unless I paid the higher amount. * He snatched my keys from me during the disagreement. * He refused my request to speak with another manager and claimed he himself was the manager. * His behavior throughout the interaction was demeaning and unprofessional. What upset me the most was his comment, “you guys are like this,” which I perceived as discriminatory and racially insensitive. That statement made me feel uncomfortable, disrespected, and unwelcome. I have always respected the Toyota brand, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope dealership management reviews this matter seriously, including any available security footage and employee conduct, so future customers are treated with professionalism and respect.

I love it all, especially a nice, quiet drive in the hill country. It’s peaceful, and for someone who has a mind that is constantly spinning, it’s also therapeutic. My car becomes my sanctuary. Since the age of 16, I’ve probably bought and sold over 25 vehicles and a motorcycle. All were used vehicles, and many were paid for in cash. I’ve also had the pleasure of working in car sales twice in my life—once in 1992 at Frank Brown Pontiac in Lubbock, Texas, and the second time in 2018 at Lockhart Ford. You learn a lot in the auto industry. It’s a mixed bag of coworkers and customers, and it’s a people business just like real estate. Vehicles and homes are generally the two largest (and most stressful) purchases that come with a pile of debt. There are hundreds of options to choose from—make, model, color, and dealership. Just like in real estate, it’s important to find someone you trust. The auto industry has had a bad reputation FOREVER because people get taken advantage of by greedy, lying xxxxxxxx. Recommendations from family and friends can help immensely when looking for a vehicle. Recently, my wife and I were in a place where buying a brand-new car for the first time was an option. For months, we researched and found the make and model she really wanted. On the recommendation of a family member, we went to see Jennifer Guerrero at Cavender Nissan in San Marcos, Texas. Jennifer is great! We test-drove a 2025 Nissan Kicks. They didn’t have the color my wife wanted, so we reserved one that was in transit. We could have easily gone up to Austin or down to San Antonio and bought one that day from another dealership, but since Jennifer came highly recommended we decided to do business with Cavender Nissan. When we went to pick it up on a Saturday, we waited longer than originally anticipated in finance and needed to leave. This was no fault of Jennifer’s, it was a busy day and there was miscommunication from other people. Eventually the dealership sent us home with the vehicle and we finalized the paperwork on Monday. All’s well that ends well, I say! Overall, it was a smooth transaction and a great experience. As someone who also works in a referral-based industry I know how beneficial they are, which is why I can’t recommend Jennifer Guerrero enough if you are looking for a vehicle! There is a reason she is the best of the best, and Cavender Nissan is blessed to have her on their team. I’m really glad we chose to go see her for our first brand-new Nissan! Thank you, Jennifer! You might even be able to talk me out of my current sanctuary one day….but I really love my FJ. 🙂

The four starts are more for James in sales since we did not end up purchasing a vehicle there. I will say that the wait was too long - no amount of free drinks and snacks can fix that, but James was professional yet friendly, and he was knowledgeable and took the time to show us many of the features on the pre-owned vehicle that we test drove. He also kept in touch with us over the next few days and let us know of other vehicles were available. Unfortunately they did not have what we were looking for in the time frame we had, and the finance people didn't seem to care if the sale was made, so we purchased elsewhere. We would still recommend James in Sales, but I'm not so sure about the rest.
