I had an emergency with my Cadillac and had to be towed to Suttle Motors. This was my very first visit to this facility and I was astounded at the shear magnitude of this operation. I was happily greeted in the service lane, offered a complimentary alignment check (which I accepted gratefully) and directed to a service consultant. My service writer was James Dianna, he was very understanding, took down all of my information and offered me shuttle service if I did not want to wait for the diagnosis. I chose to sit in the lounge which was very comfortable, has a Starbucks coffee machine and a sweet woman comes around every now and again with complimentary snacks. The whole facility is very clean and all the employees treated me like family. After a little while I was called back to the service lane where I was met with James and one of his technicians, who was very nice and explained what was going on with my vehicle without sounding condescending. I really appreciated the way they conducted themselves since as a female I am used to being treated a certain way. Things with my vehicle were not as bad as I thought they would be and the treatment I had with Suttle Motors will definitely have me coming back. Thank you so very much!

They cheat to me for price by destination charge twice. Advertised amount was already including destination charge but they added destination charge again in a separate line. Also they do not cooperate with my refund request. When you buy car with this dealer, be careful on details and compare to advertised price . And my tempered plate was expired, but I still haven't received my plate yet. Never use this dealer. I Do not recommend. They are not honest

When in NY why not go to VA for a Jeep - DinUpstateNY
I just want to say that the team at Shenandoah Motors went above and beyond through the whole process. I had done my due diligence in knowing the make, model, and some "extras" that I sought, however, to find that package in non-xxx rust bucket for a price that was reasonable in upstate NY for a Jeep Unlimited was like watching a one legged unicorn run. It just doesn't happen. Everything is over priced for what is demand, but to find it in a manual 6 speed, with a hardtop to boot. I didn't mind taking my search to the next logical step, and extended my radius. I found an amazing Jeep, in a spectacular head turning color, and immediately submitted an online app for credit approval. Now the boys at Shenandoah had their work cut out for them. They perserveered, got me the financing that put me not only in the vehicle that I wanted, but a payment that I was ready to make. This is leaps and bounds ahead of my local dealers abilities, 640.00 a month-get outttaaaaa herrrre. Beyond that became their unending friendly approach to sealing the deal and getting the job done. They mailed up my documents, while I'd love to say seamless there was a snafu, but the guys at Shenandoah quickly made it right, and alls well that worked out well, I got a cheap and easy flight down, showed up to the dealership and signed a couple of documents and out the door with my shined up and gassed up new ride. Honestly, from one person shopping out of state to another, definitely work with this knowledgeable and aim to please team! If you're near the Front Royal, VA area well then by all means take advantage of your proximity, because Pete Talley is a great Finance Guru to get you what you want, Trey did a great job and even Robbie was super friendly as they sent him (an hour away to Dulles) to chauffer me right to the dealership. Really a great buying experience, but even better when you have a no non-sense get you what you want dealer!

Promises Made - Promises Kept - Very Satisfied Customer
We recently purchased a car from the Charlie Obaugh team in Staunton. They were terrific despite a hiccup mid-transaction. In short the pre-owned vehicle we initially decided to purchase turned out to be unacceptable. The disqualifier for us to purchase it was not discovered until we were literally signing the papers and after a great deal of effort by the dealership to meet their commitments prior to sale.
Suffice to say stopping a transaction at that point could have easily resulted in the team at the dealership simply moving on to the next customer. However, Mark Brooks and Brad Bahle simply took the situation in hand and proceeded to understand my (the customer) concerns and what I wanted. They made a commitment to follow-through and find another vehicle. Given previous experiences with unfulfilled commitments/promises from other less committed dealers, I was skeptical.
However, before we could complete out 40 minute drive home they called to tell me they had found a suitable pre-owned vehicle and could have it at the dealership within a few days. It turned out to be a better vehicle, at the same negotiated price of the previous one and they completely restored my belief that there are still car dealers and sales staffs committed to quality service and customer satisfaction.
In today's car buying environment finding folks like Mark and Brad, that are committed to customer satisfaction, is remarkable. To be honest I had become somewhat jaded with car shopping experiences, having tried larger dealers hoping for better savings. Yet Charlie Obaugh provided a hassle free experience, with pleasant and knowledgeable sales team members that did not undertake some of the high pressure tactics often seen in other dealerships. From start to finish MY DESIRES were their paramount concern -- not simply selling a car or meeting a quota. Having run a very large customer service organization myself, there is a notable difference between team members who "say" the right thing make a sale and those that "DO" the right thing to make the sale. The Obaugh team is clearly in the "do the right thing category." My confidence was restored.
I don't like car shopping. I went to Charlie Obaugh on the references of about 20 friends in Charlottesville that have made repeated trips over the mountain to purchase their automobiles in Waynesboro and Staunton and the Obaugh dealerships. I now understand why they have such a large following of fans.
I have about 4-6 car purchases left in my lifetime. My children are just beginning theirs. All of my remaining purchases are likely to be a Charlie Obaugh as long as it retains its current local Shenandoah Valley character and integrity. And since ole Dad may have to co-sign when it comes time for the kids to purchase their first new car, their first car shopping experience will likely be at Charlie Obaugh. If Mark and Brad are still there, I would feel completely comfortable leaving the kids on their own to learn through the experience. Adam Moquin the Finance Manager - handled the paperwork side of our sale superbly and I would be equally comfortable having him guide the kids through a transaction.
I know mine is but one experience. But it was a very good one. In short as a result of Promises Made and Promises Kept and the fact that the Charlie Obaugh team "walked the walk" of top quality ethical customer service with my transaction, they have earned my admiration, thanks and repeat business. Charlie Obaugh Chevrolet in Staunton is what the car shopping experience should be......the Obaugh family should be happy with the manner in which their employees performed.

This place is a mess. They cost me money because they said to hold my tags while they do paperwork for a transfer, after 2 months and an insurance violation due to that now they say they can't transfer between classes and now can't give me tags at all. Because of the violation they caused.

Our initial experience with Dan the salesman was great! We purchased a 2012 chevy silverado, with a clean carfax. We noticed that it rode rough on the way home. After taking it to my stepdads mechanic, we were told that the truck had been in a collision on the front left side, and although it had been fixed as best it could be, the front left tire still sat back 2 inches more than the right one. Spray paint was noted near areas that had been repaired. After much distress, the dealership finally agreed to take the truck back and return the 2016 jeep we had traded in, back to us. They had detailed our jeep and put new wipers. It was a 2016, so didn't need much touching up. Here's the catch......they wanted $400 before they would give us our jeep back. We couldn't believe it!!! Other dealers have said they would've gladly given us our jeep back, AND accepted the wrecked truck with apologies. Well we didn't have the money, so they finally gave us our jeep back. They claim they never knew it was wrecked....you decide. It was too good to be true. This truck was listed about $4,000 below other trucks with the same year and features. Either way, please have your own mechanic check your vehicle before you purchase!

I took my car to be services after it had been in an accident. The work performed was marginal if best with horoble paint job. And had my stereo stolen while it was in the possession of the dealership service center. This business is horoble! The staff was extremely rude and the service center does shady maintenance I do not recommend this business.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT! - Wise Green Owl
I recently scheduled my wife's Subaru Outback for routine maintenance at this dealer's service department. The car was supposed to have the oil and oil filter changed, spark plugs replaced, and air cleaner installed. My wife dropped her car off for a day and brought it home the next evening, PRESENTING ME WITH A BILL FOR $1352.37!!!!
The dealership did not do the work I had requested; rather, they did something called "Premium 60K Service".
I contacted the Service Manager and expressed my outrage. He promised to check into it and call me back. One of his service technicians called about an hour later and claimed that "my wife had requested the additional work."
Now, my wife knows nothing about auto maintenance and would not have understood any jargon which may have been used. But there is a much larger issue at stake here, and that is THE ABUSE OF CUSTOMER TRUST!!!
When I schedule a vehicle for maintenance at an auto dealership, I expect them to do the work I have requested, AND NOTHING ELSE. If they think additional work is necessary, they should CONTACT ME FIRST!!!
We will never visit this dealership again, and have made a point of telling everyone we know to avoid them. If anyone ever suggests you do business with them, I suggest you RUN, NOT WALK, AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!!

I was not even sure I needed a new vehicle until I came and visited this lot. I worked with Christian Bradberry who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Christian listened to what I told him and brought me to a vehicle that was more than suitable to my needs, and I got it for a STEAL!!! I got a truck that was almost a decade newer and barely had to finance anything for the deal they gave me on my 93 S10. I strongly recommend Bob Huff Chevrolet Buick GMC and Christian Bradberry if you need any type of vehicle.
