I had an overall positive experience at EchoPark. Emilio, our experience guide, was excellent. He was very nice and very easy to work with.
One word of warning, they get very busy on Saturdays and we were there almost 4 hours as opposed to the 60 to 90 minutes we were told and that had all to do with the trade in appraiser being backed up. What was different is that Emilio kept us informed on what was going on instead of just leaving us to sit around like the last car dealership I worked with. My recommendation is to go on a weekday.
Also, take advantage of their online trade in/sale quote a head of time. It really helped us to come in prepared and know what to expect a head time. They honored the quote we received online.
Coming in prepared was very helpful for us, we noticed that many shoppers did not come in prepared. They only take certified checks, debit cards, and their own financing (no outside). All of this is clearly stated on their website. If you go on a Saturday, and plan on bringing a down payment in check form, get a certified check from your bank on Friday. Having that check doesn't mean you have to buy if you don't want to. Showing up totally unprepared is not a good way to buy a car at any dealership, this one is no different.
