I was in between wanting the 2026 Palisade and the Ioniq 9. Nelson lyn was my salesman he was great he new about all the features on both cars especially the difference and long run owning a full electric or a hybrid, they both drove excellent, See Nelson he was so much help helping me make a decision between cars I chose the Palisades they didn’t have the color interior so Nelson and manager had one sent over from a sister dealership, Creamy pearl white with grey or white interior it is absolutely beautiful, the ioniq 9 is slightly smaller but still a beautiful car, I would definitely buy from Hyundai of EL Monte again but only with Nelson there so much electronics on car he help with everything. This dealership is not pushy on sales but give you attention to in reality to buy from them. Thank you Nelson and Managers for finding car from sister dealership and having it on lot within 2 hours. so very with my purchase and already so many compliments from psi don’t know on my luxury beautiful 2026 Hybrid Palisade Caligraphy model.

I had my car serviced (oil change and tire rotation) on November 2nd and was told my brake pads were both at 5mm and wouldn’t need to be replaced for at least another few months. Today (11/29), my brakes started grinding, so I took my car to Pep Boys only to find that my brake pads were both at 2 and 3 mm. I find it hard to believe that in less than a month I shaved off over 2 mm, and I believe I was deceived by the mechanics in order to rack up a higher eventual cost of repair. I spent $488 at Pep Boys to replace both front brake pads, both front rotors (those were also destroyed and no note was made on my service documentation from Hyundai), and get new brake fluid. At the Hyundai dealership, I was quoted $475. I am so disappointed with the service I received, and if I had known my pads were this bad I could’ve gotten my brake pads replaced sooner without damaging the rotors. However, I’m sure the goal was for me to take it back to them when the rotors and pads wore out so they could charge me extra for their gross negligence and deception. SO scummy.

Service in July that was not done properly. Found out because car almost died last Saturday and was able to barely drive to Downey Hyundai. Downey Hyundai had car for four days when they called that car needed Coolant Flush. I authorized service and later that evening check my paperwork from work done by Sage Hyundai in July. I had a coolant flush! I called Downey Hyundai to not have service preformed because i had coolant flush done in July, but Downey Hyundai informed me that that was impossible because it was half full and dirty. I contacted Sage Hyundai and left message for the Service Director, Ara, who never called me back. I called again and left message, but not call back. I called four times today (Saturday) to speak to the service director and i just got transferred from person to person. Called again and left on hold for over 17 minutes. I called again with call transferred which rang for 45 times. If I would have been given at least a free oil change, I would have been happy, but all I got was being ignored by everyone that worked at Sage. I will NEVER go back to this dealer again. I have had other problems with them taking hours just for oil changes. I miss the old management which got you in and out.

Paint Came Off Days After Purchase - Reasonable Guy

Less than a week with my new car - PAINT IS ALREADY COMING OFF. June 21, 2018 - drove all the way from Fontana to Hyundai Claremont because of its good reviews. Me and my wife knew the car that we wanted - made an appointment a week prior, arrived there at 9am on the day of the appointment, but still took us 6 hours to get the new car. Process was way to slow, but we tried to ignore that fact since we always want to see the good in every situation. Eloi and Reza helped us. Eloi's new and obviously lacks the experience and knowledge about Hyundai cars and its features. We brushed that off, because we liked his drive, his energy, his passion.. so we gave him a chance. We already know all the car's features anyway from reading reviews and watching videos online. Reza is the sales manager who talked to us to get the deal through. We met half way and got a good deal. Although some of the stuff he put in there, like Easycare, wasn't really discussed in full transparency. I had to find out about the coverage online and by calling Easycare. That tactic is, i think, present in most dealers - to sell you things you don't really need or at least agreed to. But what the heck, i said okay since it should give me peace of mind in the long run. BUT.... 2 days later, before getting on the car to go to my office, i noticed that paint on the rear side of the passenger side door was chipping or coming off. I was trying to recall if i did anything to make the paint come off like that. But there was no scratch nor dent whatsoever. I guess the paint quality on that car wasn't as good as advertised - especially for it to chip or come off like that. I called the dealer and they arranged to fix it on the 30th with a rental car service. That should be okay for me not minding the fact that i was still kind of disappointed because of what happened. I just thought to myself that nothing good will happen from being mad or angry at someone or something. 2 days later after my initial call.. i noticed more paint was coming off the edge of the rear side door.. and to me, that was it. That's the last draw. I was trying to call Reza for days now and left him a message, but I never got any call back. And he's always "not in" the dealership. So i went to Eloi, the salesman.. texted and called him about the problem. He was kind enough to reply. I asked about the paint coming off. He said that the paint coming off was due to the people in the body shop department rushing the job, but he'll take care of it. And he pointed out that how could i think that the car wasn't new since the mileage was only 11 miles. I mean, seriously? That is obvious. I told him that i get that the car is new. I get that it only has 11 miles in it. But the quality this dealership is giving its customers is way below the industry standard. I mean, no customer should ever experience something like this on a brand new car. 2 days and paint comes off? You got to be kidding me. AND... doing a half xxx job because worker is on a rush is a lousy excuse for doing it wrong. These guys are professionals. They should do quality check every time before they release cars to customers. That being said, I really like the car. I like the mpg and the savings i'd get from it. But man, these guys in Hyundai seem to not care after they make a sale. Less than a week from the purchase, I get chipped paint??? That's really lousy quality and service. Hyundai Claremont, please have Reza return my call. I believe that customers deserve an explanation and not an excuse. I salute Eloi for taking my calls and text messages... But what is management doing? Man up, guys.

I brought my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq5 to Hyundai of Downtown - jen

I brought my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq5 to Hyundai of Downtown LA (DTLA) for warranty service related to warning signals for the turn signal and lane change assist. What followed was one of the most frustrating and unacceptable service experiences I’ve ever had with any dealership. From the outset, communication was poor. After an initial phone call from the service advisor, I never received any further updates. I had to rely on the Hyundai app to track whether my car was being worked on—and most of the time, it wasn’t. The vehicle sat untouched for days, and I only received an eventual update via email after more than 20 days. Even worse, the car was repeatedly left unlocked overnight while in the dealership’s care. I received multiple alerts from the Hyundai app indicating the vehicle was unsecured after hours, which is completely unacceptable for a new vehicle under warranty. When I picked up the car, it was returned to me dirty and visibly damaged. I immediately noticed multiple scratches and scuff marks that were not present when I dropped it off. A local body shop later confirmed signs of forced entry through the driver’s side door, including paint damage down to the metal. This occurred while the vehicle was in the dealership’s possession. The staff showed no concern and offered no accountability for the condition of the vehicle. I had to request a rental car days into the repair period, and no electric vehicle loaner—comparable to my EV—was ever offered. The dealership also made no effort to wash or return the car in presentable condition, even after holding it for nearly three weeks. On top of the poor service, the condition of the facility itself is subpar. Both the service and sales areas resemble an old used car lot—hardly what one expects from a modern, authorized Hyundai dealership. I am currently working with Hyundai corporate to seek resolution. I strongly caution other Hyundai owners—especially Ioniq5 drivers—before trusting their vehicle to this service department.
