We were horribly treated by Volkswagen of Mobile. The Service Department and Manager, Joe McConnell were totally unprofessional in their treatment toward us. They kept our car nearly 2 weeks for a simple diagnostic. Over the period our vehicle was kept there, we were quoted 3 different quotes to fix the car. Their computer records were confused on our previously owned VW. The print-out had wrong vin#s and mileage of our vehicle. We spent hours on the phone and texting trying to get the matter resolved. We were passed off on different service managers, who would claim they would call us right back, but didn’t. Finally, we picked up the car, but were not given the diagnostic report or explanation of the nearly $400 charge for the diagnostic. We called and also had to visit the dealership to obtain a report. It took over an hour trying to get the report, supposedly due to their computer records. We were finally given one, that was still incorrect with our wrong mileage on it. I went back into the dealership 3 times trying to get it resolved with Joe McConell. He just said, they probably just typed in a random mileage. None of what he had to say made any sense at all. In my opinion, he is a poor excuse for a manager. I would never purchase another vehicle from this dealership! Their management needs to be trained on the proper treatment of their customers. I would not recommend doing business with this dealership at all!
