She found me a great car and I'm excited to be a Volvo owner. Ati Kamali the finance manager was also very thorough and explained everything. She made that process flawless. Just a great experience I would recommend this dealer and Claudia to anyone that is looking for a Volvo.

Mike Theisen is a superb Director of SM Volvo & excels in delivering gold standard customer service, which is the extreme opposite of the very poor & deficit customer care attitude & inept service I have experienced with Volvo USA customer care/relations department. Were it not for Mike Theisen & his intervention to resolve issues either ignored or poorly dealt with by Volvo USA customer care/relations department, I would have forever abandoned my 35 years of devotion to the Volvo brand. Robert & Klaus excel in providing excellent service at the SM Volvo service department, no doubt influenced by Mike Theisen’s brilliant, insightful leadership & being a stellar customer care leader & role model. Quite disappointing to learn yesterday the former manager at SM Volvo, Casey Turner is no longer working at this dealership. He too, provided outstanding customer care. I believe customer service is the single most important driver for achieving brand loyalty & the Volvo USA Corporate management of their USA customer care/relations department has long been an department in need of serious attention, meaningful & enduring improvement. It is a tipping point for which I am aware drove other Volvo brand loyalists to have abandoned the Volvo brand.

I'm not one to write reviews, but this team of professionals warrants my time and accolades! I was interested in a pre-owned Hyundai Genesis they featured on the internet, and when I arrived to test drive the vehicle I was met by Ron Stephens, a friendly and sincere salesman who actually gave me a checklist of items I should evalute on the car, encouraged me to ask all the questions I could think of, didn't engage in the mindless chatter I had come to expect from a car salesman, and flat out said that if I didn't love the vehicle, I shouldn't buy it! He very methodically stepped through the negotiation process and not once did I feel intimidated. He even bought my teenage daughter something to eat while I waited to sign the sales contract. The next day when I returned with the check, Ron Wheeler, General Manager, stopped by just to extend his hospitality and make sure I was happy, as did Terrance, the Service Manager who also know a whole lot about the car I had just bought and responded the following day to my phone querry regarding use of the ISB port. This team of professionals is top drawer. Go see them, especially if you are in the market for a Volvo, and if you have a used Volvo to trade in, they will give you 10% over Bluebook for it! I live in Santa Clarita and it was worth the drive to Thousand Oaks :)

The best car shopping and buying experiences I have ever had! Nice new showroom but more importantly great and amazing folks working inside. Got my new SUV on my 2nd trip to the dealership after shopping around and the team made the experience easy, quick, and pleasurable!! Special thanks to my main man Dion Dejurnett for showing me the cars and options and understanding my needs. His sales experience and Harlan the manager understood my wants and budget and made everything work with an amazing deal that made it irresistible to sign and drive away!! I’m actually looking forward to my next car shopping experience because with these folks I know I am getting good value and working with really good people!! Plus free car washes so I’ll be in to see the team regularly!! Thanking the Southbay Volvo team for everything they did to get me into my new SUV - couldn’t be happier heading into my 2nd week of driving!!

We insisted that our price was definitive and there was no point for us driving 2hours the price we agreed on on the phone because we would then just leave. They confirmed on the phone the price was definitive. We arrived after a long drive and then price had changed. I cannot stress enough how much I do not recommend this dealership.

I've been going here for nearly 10 years and the service has gone down the tubes. In short, I had to return 4 times to get a window leak fixed. I was provided no concession and was even incorrectly charged for the service. I had to follow-up 4 times over 2 weeks before someone called me back to address it (when I was told they would get back to me the next day). Just really poor service, expectations, etc. I will never use them again

The entire team I worked with from the sales associate, sales manager, to financing were straightforward and honest. No nonsense, pressure tactics, or ridiculous haggling. This dealer bought the car it was used. We didn't test drive to see if we liked it. And they bought a car. The next day, the wife went to work, she became ill with an allergy. The car was full of mice. And no one told us about it. We asked the dealer to pick up the car, he refused. So expect to be scammed at the Volvo dealership.

I was there for repair service. I was quoted a price that was very high ($900) for the repair (which I know should cost around $600). But I left the car for repair anyway. I was thinking, I probably won't come back again. Upon completion of the car, I was told that the quote was high and there were parts that did not need to replace/repair as originally thought. My cost bill was reduced to a very reasonable cost of $600 without me asking. Or course, the better will be that it was quoted right the first time because it could have driven business away.

I bought a used Volvo certified 2022 XC60 on-line, sight unseen from Volvo Cars Carlsbad that listed on Carfax. The car as optioned is not exactly common, but was exactly what i wanted having driven similar cars locally. It was nerve wracking at the start with the car being 1,200 miles away out of state and never having stepped foot in the dealership, but Michael Page and Steve Campbell were great to work with and made for a seemless transaction. I got a great car, exactly as described, at a very good price with excellent service. They even handled shipping the car to my home at a reasonable price. I'd definitly work with Volvo Cars Carlsbad again. Extremely satisfied.

Worst experience for buying cars!!!!!! I am Volvo customer for 3 years and when I was in Ontario dealer for trade my lease vehicle to another one, the sale rep, Michel and finance team Jim, forced me to finance my cars and didn’t negotiate with me for interest rate and monthly payment and just forced me for signing the contract!!!! And after one month when I got my first payment, I saw that my rate and payment is too high and I came back to dealer for cancel my contract and non of those guys didn’t accept my cancellation contract and they forced me to pay 18000$ more!!!! I wish nobody never had any deal with them and I never came back to that crazy dealer!!!!!!

Negotiated with the manager for the entire week and planned on a coming weekend to drive over 6 hours to purchase. I begged the manager to hold it for literally 1 day because I was driving from a different state, but he said he couldn't. I offered a deposit, but he stated CA policy states that car dealers can't accept deposits to hold a car. I was already prepared with a bank cashier's check and ready to get up at 4 AM to drive over 6 hours for pickup. Volvo Escondido sold my car literally less than 16 hours before I got a chance to get there and pay for it! One of the most disappointing car buying experiences of my life. How would you feel? Profits over decency.

I have been taking my 2002 Volvo for service here for many years. Everyone is very professional, friendly, and efficient. Miguel welcomes me by name when I arrive. They were very accommodating to me when I required "special" time frames when having service done last year. I love the idea that my car is washed inside/out when any service is done, but still appreciated that they didn't offer that service during the drought.

Best experience and welcoming team to make buying experience to meet current COVID-19 safety standards. --- BEST PRICE COMPARED TO ANY OTHER VOLVO SHOWROOM IN BAY AREA (or) probably in 100 miles radius. I decided to buy from this showroom after getting the quotes from nearly 5 Volvo Showroom around my place --- Steve Carlton(scarlton@royalautosf.com) helped me with my purchase and everything related to deals and negotiation was easy over email(mostly) and couple of phone calls. He was very responsive and professional in understanding my needs of buying a car and he provided value for my purchase by ensuring I get best of all qualified incentives from manufacturer, state & dealer specials. Volvo is a brand known for safety and reliability and I am very much happy for buying my first SUV to be a Volvo and fortunate to have Steve to help me with the purchase and making the transaction as smooth as it should be during this period(COVID-19), especially having little kid with me and my wife during the visit. Tl;dr Steve doesn't have the car in his inventory with options I am looking for, so to earn my business he went beyond what I expected to check the inventory at the Port near LA and was able negotiate with another dealer in Southern California who was suppose to get the Vehicle of my choice with no extra cost. We got car direct from Port with all the options and accessories installed at Port for less cheaper compared to getting them installed at dealer. I got the Vehicle delivered in ~2 weeks from the date I reserved it. After completing paper work Steve explained in detail about car features and showed demo of few that are possible in the limited space of showroom and gave good suggestion how to take good care of lighter interior. He is simply awesome, best of all caring and works hard to show value for your money.
