I live in the city of Ventura, and, after a poor experience at Volvo in Calabasas, I continued down the freeway to Galpin in Van Nuys after phoning them from my car and getting reassurance from Harry Pet in sales that I'd have a no-nonsense experience once I arrived. I knew exactly what I wanted and, with the help of Harry and Johnny in sales, I left fully satisfied with a beautiful car and a very good feeling about Galpin. I drove back down the next morning for some minor adjustments and received superb personal service from Jack (and breakfast on the house per Harry!). Bought a Q5 from this dealership. Negotiated via email/phone for availability and pricing and had a good experience. Were able to even trade in our BMW while we were there for a reasonable price. We'd done our research on what we wanted to pay, and the sales guys were straightforward, fair, and didn't put any pressure on us. We were able to pick up the car, and get the paperwork signed very quickly. We tried going to other Audi dealerships in the area and the sales guys were terrible. Do your test drive at those dealerships, but when you're ready to buy and get the price and car you want, go to Audi San Francisco

I live about 3.5 hours away from Santa Rosa so everything we did was over the phone and via text. Honestly I was a little nervous about buying a car in the middle of a pandemic, and also since we don't live nearby; that we might get taken advantage of. That was not the case! I told John exactly what I wanted and he got it for me, in under our budget! I couldn't be happier with every aspect of our purchase. They took care of everything, and all I had to do was show up and get the keys! They even offered to deliver the car to my driveway, but I really wanted to drive it home myself! I have no experience with Volvo Mission Viejo service department, but my experience with sales has been excellent. We purchased XC60 T8 hybrid from them in 2018. They were very easy to talk to from the start and had the best pricing in the entire So Cal at that time. The car was a special order from the factory, which required extra effort from the sales team. Communication was outstanding throughout the process. The deal was agreed in advance, no shady tactics whatsoever when we picked up the car at the end of the long wait (took over 5 months!). Highly recommend reaching out to VMV, if you are looking for a new Volvo. They may be smaller than some of the other dealers in the area, but they will do their best to earn your business.

Took my Volvo XC90 in for a recall. They provided a loaner and then charged me $17.50 for 1 gallon of gas upon return. What kind of dealer gives you a loaner to fix THEIR issue and charges you for gas? Horrible dealer. Stay away!

10/7/19 had an appointment to meet with salesperson to test drive SUV as I was prequalified to purchase a vehicle. I arrived minutes earlier to view the vehicle and was told by an alternate associate that the vehicle was sold on 10:5/19. I received no phone call. I will not visit here again.

Service has had my vehicle for 7 days.for seat warmer repair and leak in exhaust manifold. Was called by CS after making appt that they don't have loaners and would not provide one. No problem. Took in my vehicle anyway. One delay after another. I have to follow-up because my service advisor can't seem to communicate other than when he is ready to leave for the day. Now out for the weekend. The service advisor he turned my file over to hung up on me because I told reception I would hold for him to return to his desk. When I did get through it was obvious I wasn't important. I asked to speak with General manager and all I received was excuses as to why I couldn't speak with him. Long story short, been 7 days and I still do not have an answer as to when and if my vehicle will ever be completed, meanwhile, without a loaner. Poor service. I will not be coming back and will tell everyone I know about the poor service I have received. On a side note, I have never left a poor review. Only reviewed a couple of things in it life and only because they were amazing experiences. This has been such a bad ordeal I need to let everyone know who they are dealing with.....

I had a terrible buying experience when purchasing an XC 60 T8. I test drove the car and negotiated a price for the lease, brake protection and excess wear and tear. I was told the car would be ready for me the next day. I did all the financing online so I expected to sign and drive. When I arrived, the car wasn’t ready and they did not honor the pricing for the extras I was quoted the night before. The manager on duty was no help and said there must have been some miscommunication. I left the dealership and he called me back and convinced me to come back to do the deal. On my way back, I received a call informing me the car now needed a software update and I could not drive off that day. I immediately emailed the General Manager who called me the next day. She insisted I was wrong and there was some miscommunication on my part about the quote for the extras. Volvo sells its protection plans. In expensive packages. I don’t like it. I took delivery of the new car and the one bright spot was Dustin, who went over every detail and feature of the car. he was awesome. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for Dustin. One ⭐️ for the overall experience and response from management

I was there for repair service. I was quoted a price that was very high ($900) for the repair (which I know should cost around $600). But I left the car for repair anyway. I was thinking, I probably won't come back again. Upon completion of the car, I was told that the quote was high and there were parts that did not need to replace/repair as originally thought. My cost bill was reduced to a very reasonable cost of $600 without me asking.
Or course, the better will be that it was quoted right the first time because it could have driven business away.

I came in for service on a battery issue which required my car to be towed. I also needed my 20000 mile maintenance service which I had been putting off. I was lucky enough to be assigned Ivan. He was very professional and courteous. He explain all of the service my car was going to receive. Because of the service I received from Ivan I will change to Volvo of Ontario as my choice of a center service for both of our Volvos.

I went in to get a recalled part installed. They refused. 1 1/2 years later, the fuel pump broke and the car was inundated with gasoline. They expected me to pay for the towing and were absolutely difficult to work with at every turn. I had to get Corporate Volvo involved in the process and they weren't much better to work with, to be honest. I had to threaten with a lawsuit and it wasn't until I got the name of the person to whom the legal papers were served that they took me seriously. I would caution anyone needing recall or warranty work done on their Volvo to STAY AWAY!!!! This is not the first issue I have had with their service department. They were asked to work on the handbrake while the car was under warranty. They sent me away stating that it was normal for a car to roll a few inches after the handbrake has been applied. Guess what? It isn't. Also, when I bought my XC-90, they were ready to send me on my way without the registration that goes in the corner of the window. I had to bring up to the manager why I didn't have anything showing that I had purchased the car - you know, the legal paperwork that police officers require you to have in the window. The manager acted like he was shocked that the salesman could mess up like that. And it wasn't like it was busy. We were the only ones there. Never again will I darken the doors of this dealership. The same owner owns Carlsbad Volvo and boy, could I tell you some stories I have heard about them. Stay away from both. There are other good Volvo dealerships around.

I have been taking my 2002 Volvo for service here for many years. Everyone is very professional, friendly, and efficient. Miguel welcomes me by name when I arrive. They were very accommodating to me when I required "special" time frames when having service done last year. I love the idea that my car is washed inside/out when any service is done, but still appreciated that they didn't offer that service during the drought.
