Great first impression with service department - Nope
Had to get my car serviced at dealer (recall associated with software). Arrive at 8:30 AM for a 8:40 AM Saturday appointment. Was back in my car and on my way in under an hour. The Mazda rep. was informative, customer focused, and most of all she had a positive attitude.

Ultimately a good experience! - XC60 love
Verletta Massey and Ephrem Yohannes are the reason I ultimately bought from Rusnak Volvo.
Verletta's level of knowledge of the vehicle as well as personality are impressive.
Ephrem stepped in when the negotiating process was going south and treated us with the respect we required to follow through with the purchase.
One negative on delivery - I only received 1/2 tank of gas. In all my years of car buying - this was a first.

Galpin Rules! - Cookie V.
Never had such a pleasurable experience leasing a car as last weekend at Galpin Volvo. Bright, spotless dealership, professional, well-groomed, welcoming staff. My sales guy, Richard Molina, was the best- made the exact deal I wanted on the exact car I wanted, happen! I highly recommend this dealership.
Fantastic Experience - Motivator18
Ryan and Jordan made the transition into my new GLA very easy and quick. The entire staff continually went above and beyond during my visit. I look forward to working more with MB of Stockton for years to come!
Excellent Service Center - stagercox
I came in for service on a battery issue which required my car to be towed. I also needed my 20000 mile maintenance service which I had been putting off. I was lucky enough to be assigned Ivan. He was very professional and courteous. He explain all of the service my car was going to receive. Because of the service I received from Ivan I will change to Volvo of Ontario as my choice of a center service for both of our Volvos.
Scot Eichenbaum is the bomb! - Paul V

Parts department was extremely helpful!! - Leahmae
Thank you to all the guys in the parts department I am a single mom and my door of my xc90 was vandalized.. they helped me get a replacement door and were extremely helpful and friendly!! I couldn’t thank you guys enough!! Keep up the great work!! -Leah (Willits,CA)
Always a great experience - carfish
Just leased an XC90. The man who helped me, Christopher White, is by far the most professional, most helpful, least pushy sales professional I've ever dealt with while buying or leasing an automobile. I recommend using him, and, more generally, I recommend Volvo Cars of Santa Monica. I've been to other Volvo dealerships and Santa Monica is the best one out there for people living in Los Angeles. I've leased three cars from them and have always had a great experience.
Revised - Everything better now. Removed 2 star review. - volvoooo
Dealer made everything right on service a few days after writing this review so it's back to 5 stars. A+ for the extra effort.
Always great service - deannap913
I have been taking my 2002 Volvo for service here for many years. Everyone is very professional, friendly, and efficient. Miguel welcomes me by name when I arrive. They were very accommodating to me when I required "special" time frames when having service done last year. I love the idea that my car is washed inside/out when any service is done, but still appreciated that they didn't offer that service during the drought.
Love my xc90 - Lovinxc90
I just purchased a certified XC90 from Mary at Niello Volvo. She was extremely knowledge and made me feel comfortable. It was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I don't think I would have made a decision that day to buy it if it wasn't for Mary. Thank you!
Bad experience - Bad experience
We bought a new 2018 Volvo XC90 last month and from the we picked it up, we addressed the problems with the idiot salesman Grant Broadwell about the scratches on the front left fender and the rattling inside the rear cargo compartment. We paid extra for the interior enhancements package and the return the car to us in a deplorable manner. We had to return the car several times to correct the problem. Now the car with less than 1500 miles on it has a torn weather stripping on the left drivers side door. Don’t believe the sign in front of the dealership (Hassle Free, up front pricing) Go somewhere else to buy a Volvo. What a deplorable dealership.
disgusting service not worthy of volvo brand - agorbachevskiy
-dealer made us walk in the rain to a jam packed lot to inspect our vehicle of choice in spite of our request to pull it out from the lot for a test drive/inspection
-vehicle was not available for a test drive because the lot was jam packed with unsold cars making it very difficult to get in and out of vehicles. Doing so in the rain is a downright liability for vovlo (slippery and unsafe in tight quarters)
-dealer was rude and lashed out at my wife when she asked for a better deal (it's ok to push back on price but it must be done respectfully which was not done)
-we walked away with a firm conviction that the level of service offered by this dealership does not warrant paying them a penny
-I would strongly encourage Volvo corporate to reevaluate entrusting their brand to a sub par dealer franchise that is Volvo of Walnut Creek. Instead of being an enabler, this dealership does everything possible to prevent you from owning/leasing a Volvo. A truly disappoint consumer experience. I wanted a Volvo and went with a competitor because of Volvo of Walnut Creek.
Friendly Professional NOTPUSHY - oleman
05/2018 We worked with Jeff Cox looking at the XC90. He was friendly, non-pushy, listened to our requests/questions, showed us the car/colors, options at length demonstrated the features completely. He new I was a veteran and treated us like family. I feel like we got a fair price approx. 2% less than another dealer out of town. We met the sales manager: His greeting was warm and at no time did we feel like we were "dealing" with fast talkers !! Our XC90 Inscription has shown to be a very nice decision. Highly recommend this dealership !!
This Dealership is Nothing but a Headache - SFVWOwner
I've dealt with Royal Auto for years and bought my car at the end of the lease. The customer service was already sub-par but once I had paid for my car, I saw just how terrible the "service" could really get. When you actually get through to someone on the phone, it is usually a receptionist who simply sends you to someone's voicemail. I have had countless voicemails I've left simply not get returned over the years.
I've been at the dealership trying to get to the bottom of whether a service was covered under the extended warranty I purchased when I bought out my lease, and the service department agent told me he couldn't get the information from the finance department because the "departments don't speak to each other." Just appalling. So hard to get anything taken care of.
I was told when I bought said extended warranty I could only have my car serviced at Royal Auto with the policy. I should have been skeptical to believe the finance manager was being honest. After 3 recent unreturned phone calls to the service manager (Darren Warren), I tried a dealership in Marin County and was relieved that the San Rafael dealership would honor my warranty. I am thrilled I never have to deal with Royal Auto again.
Great experience - momos
Our salesman, Marc, was excellent: knowledgeable, friendly, relaxed, honest. Process was painless and seamless and in fact, all around pleasant. After our purchase, Marc took the time to introduce us to the Service Manager...very thoughtful. Absolutely no glitches or problems.
They trying to charge my wife twice - Disappointed
Worst service department I've ever been in they would rather screw up the first job and scared the cylinder head and made the car oil leak worse then when we took it back they tried charging her again for the job they were suppose to do the first time.after five times going back there they still charged her for a few hours gave another life time warranty that's probably a joke that what they told her the first timere trying to charge us twice for the job they suppose to do the first time .I noticed the onwer does not address the bad comments I would never go to this service department (So Be warned and be ware)
Misrepresented used car - Mechanic 1
usually don't write reviews but very disappointing road trip from Arizona to purchase a used car.Went back and forth with the salesman on pictures , videos and phone calls on the quality of the vehicle, specifically any rust since it was on the upper end of the value. I was assured I was getting the cleanest car ever seen and I would be reinbursed for the rental car. This is what I would expect.i made a deposit , rented a car and brought the balance owed with me for a cash deal.when I arrived the car was out front , the outside and inside was as described. I opened the hood and Omg! Rust and oxidation everywhere. I was told it was from being by the ocean, Really!!! The next disappointment was the battery was dead, after jumping it the check engine light was on and the track light, I pulled out and it had no power , I turned around and parked it for a full refund, you would think out of good faith they would cover the rental car fee since they failed to mention any rust , If the engine was as clean as the rest of it I would have let them put a new battery in , clear the codes and been happily on my way back home.
Horrible customer service - Frmddj
Service has had my vehicle for 7 days.for seat warmer repair and leak in exhaust manifold. Was called by CS after making appt that they don't have loaners and would not provide one. No problem. Took in my vehicle anyway. One delay after another. I have to follow-up because my service advisor can't seem to communicate other than when he is ready to leave for the day. Now out for the weekend. The service advisor he turned my file over to hung up on me because I told reception I would hold for him to return to his desk. When I did get through it was obvious I wasn't important. I asked to speak with General manager and all I received was excuses as to why I couldn't speak with him. Long story short, been 7 days and I still do not have an answer as to when and if my vehicle will ever be completed, meanwhile, without a loaner. Poor service. I will not be coming back and will tell everyone I know about the poor service I have received. On a side note, I have never left a poor review. Only reviewed a couple of things in it life and only because they were amazing experiences. This has been such a bad ordeal I need to let everyone know who they are dealing with.....
Honest people. - W
I was there for repair service. I was quoted a price that was very high ($900) for the repair (which I know should cost around $600). But I left the car for repair anyway. I was thinking, I probably won't come back again. Upon completion of the car, I was told that the quote was high and there were parts that did not need to replace/repair as originally thought. My cost bill was reduced to a very reasonable cost of $600 without me asking.
Or course, the better will be that it was quoted right the first time because it could have driven business away.
I went in to get a recalled part installed. They... - lovevolvo
I went in to get a recalled part installed. They refused. 1 1/2 years later, the fuel pump broke and the car was inundated with gasoline. They expected me to pay for the towing and were absolutely difficult to work with at every turn. I had to get Corporate Volvo involved in the process and they weren't much better to work with, to be honest. I had to threaten with a lawsuit and it wasn't until I got the name of the person to whom the legal papers were served that they took me seriously. I would caution anyone needing recall or warranty work done on their Volvo to STAY AWAY!!!! This is not the first issue I have had with their service department. They were asked to work on the handbrake while the car was under warranty. They sent me away stating that it was normal for a car to roll a few inches after the handbrake has been applied. Guess what? It isn't. Also, when I bought my XC-90, they were ready to send me on my way without the registration that goes in the corner of the window. I had to bring up to the manager why I didn't have anything showing that I had purchased the car - you know, the legal paperwork that police officers require you to have in the window. The manager acted like he was shocked that the salesman could mess up like that. And it wasn't like it was busy. We were the only ones there. Never again will I darken the doors of this dealership. The same owner owns Carlsbad Volvo and boy, could I tell you some stories I have heard about them. Stay away from both. There are other good Volvo dealerships around.
Horrible. Selling my car so I dont have to go back.... - bnolte224
Horrible. Selling my car so I dont have to go back. Really tragic that this is what it has come to, but just cannot continue to deal with them, and they are the only dealer in the area.
Great expeirience in Marin - hoopsin2015
I was looking at Grand Cherokee's and walked across the street to Volvo Marin, great guys, the staff was up front, new their product. I love this new XC90. If you want a honest buying process, go see Volvo Marin. I got the best price up front, quick and easy. Thanks guys
Terrible Service!! - James Taylor
In March, 2017, I paid Volvo Cars Mission Viejo (California) $52,000 for a 2017 Volvo S90 T5 four door sedan.
The car is O.K. It has a weird little habit of killing the engine when you are stopped for a few seconds, and then starting up again. Presumably, that is to extend gas mileage. You can get used to that.
The dealer, however, is a very different story!! I have purchased twenty-five new cars over my life from twenty-five different dealers from New York to Los Angeles, and Volvo Cars of Mission Viejo is the absolutely worst dealer I have EVER dealt with, anywhere, anytime!!
Let me explain. The 2017 Volvo is a very, very sophisticated piece of machinery and it requires a HUGE amount of learning to operate properly. The Owner’s manual does not begin to cover what you need to know, so you turn to the sales team for help.
In this case, that would be Dennis J. Winkler and Kyle Palmer. They are the two most indifferent, inept sales people I have ever encountered in an auto dealership. They do not answer email, they do not return telephone calls, and when you do manage to schedule a meeting, they don’t show up, or bother to tell you they are not going to show up.
If you want the whole long list of questions and problems, send me an email and I will try to answer it. In the meantime, I am trying to work through all my problems with my local garage since I am never going near Volvo Cars of Mission Viejo again!!!!
