I recently leased a new vehicle from Key Hyundai of Milford and had a deeply disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share.
From the start, my salesman came across as genuinely friendly and trustworthy — someone who seemed to truly have my best interests at heart. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a front. Once the deal was signed, the person I thought I was working with completely disappeared.
During the deal, he explicitly promised to verify that my final lease payment on my previous vehicle would be handled. Based on that promise, I signed the paperwork — only to be hit with a surprise final payment after the deal closed. When I called to address it, he was completely dismissive, told me "there's nothing you can do, the deal is already signed," and actively discouraged me from escalating it. Rather than taking any accountability, he made me feel as though I was the one who had misunderstood — despite his explicit promise.
To add insult to injury, he also promised to follow up about a significant scratch on my steering wheel that was present at the time of purchase. It has now been over a month and I am still waiting to hear from him.
The General Manager, Tony, was another issue entirely. He quoted me one monthly payment, only for it to mysteriously increase in the finance office. He then stormed in visibly angry, claiming the mileage terms were different from what we had explicitly negotiated, badgering me with internal metrics and repeatedly using end-of-month pressure tactics to force an additional $3 per month onto the deal.
This dealership relies on exhaustion, intimidation, and gaslighting to close deals and then takes zero accountability when things go wrong. Key Hyundai's "We Care" philosophy was nowhere to be found in this experience. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here.
