I primarily worked with Jeff in the service department Monday. He listened to my concerns and respectfully said he would call me with any results the next day. As promised. he called as scheduled, with good news for replacing a part to fix the issues. The fact that he did what he said he would do and called to let me know promptly, was wonderful. I did not have to chase an answer to the issue. I brought the car in today, Friday, and the problem was solved within the time Jeff said it would be. Paul and he worked on the issue together. Thank you to both gentlemen who were friendly and an asset to Copeland service department which in my opinion is the essence of a car dealership.

I brought my VW beetle in for service and told them to pay attention to its cleanliness. I received my VW convertible back with a discolored drivers seat. They must has spilled oil on it and tried to clean it with a degreasing agent. Upsets me every time a look at it. The service rep told me that they cover the steering wheel and seat prior to service. Yet, as I watched this person with dirty and greasy clothes climb into my vehicle, that was not the case. After looking at the service bay, (dirty and congested) I told the service rep to cancel my service, but she said they have already started working on it. Even today, as I look at my

As I am writing this, on Sunday, October 18th, 2020, my vehicle is still at the Commonwealth VW shop for the past 2 months. I dropped off my 2015 Volkswagen passat on Monday, the 17th of August 2020 because my EPC light and my check engine light was on. I have to let who ever is reading this know that I do not usually write bad reviews for businesses unless I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of service that I have received. So far, I am more than unhappy, I am extremely anxious and I hope the owner reads this and contact me because I have never heard of service taking more than 2 months to properly diagnose and fix a vehicle. I have to mention that Dave has done the best he could with the updates, and to his credit, he is trying the best he can with the info he receives from the technicians. However, I have stopped by there numerous times and it seems that my vehicle is not getting the attention that it deserves. I have remained without a rental since August. Their rental policies seems different from other dealerships because I have to rent it from Enterprise which at the moment is not possible for me. Or I was told that I may need to rent from another rental company, pay the fees in advance and I will be reimbursed later. Can you imagine renting a vehicle and not knowing for how long or how much the fees would run up? I did the math, my rental fees would have been close to TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for the 9 weeks. WOW!! I need a RENTAL ASAP!!! THIS CANNOT CONTINUE!!! I am very patient. I want my vehicle to be fixed in a timely manner. I just want to receive weekly updates from Dave, possibly every Thursday.

I reserved a rental car and there was no car reserved for me knowing that I made it over a week ago. Very disappointed since the very first time when we met a year ago. I don’t think they will ever come around to surprise me wirh good service, I am stuck with them for the remaing of the lease term.

Techicians are clueless. They have no clue of what they are doing. They missed the most obvious things like Check engine light and worked on tire allignment and left it in a worse sitution than before. We had a long trip planned and we could not get the car in time and had to make alternative arrangements. They were very rude and were not at all apologetic about the mistakes and the mess. I live 3o mins away and had to make multiple trips to get it sorted. For your own safety, do not go here. People are rude, servicing is horrible, they ripped me off. Overall one of the worst servicing centers.

On 1/3/08, my ‘05 VW Passat had a burning smell and began to smoke from the rear. I had it towed to Barry VW. Service Manager Carl Evans had me sign a form to have the car diagnosed and arranged a courtesy ride to Enterprise car rental. The next day, Carl called with the results of the diagnosis: $1700 and 4-5 days, as the car needed “a new turbo line and turbo charger,” coming to $970 in parts and $670 in labor. I asked him to be more specific about the parts, to break it down by item. He said the $970 included the turbo line, charger and any necessary gaskets. I requested a written estimate. He said it’s not written down; he could just tell me over the phone. I said I wanted to stop by and pick up a written estimate; he said they don’t write them down. A $1700 repair, plus accruing rental car costs, put me in a financial crisis. I called Carl and asked if Barry would do any financing or payment arrangements for a repair that costly. He said no, but to try VW credit. I applied online at VWcredit.com in an attempt to get enough money to cover the repair bill. I considered not fixing the car and trading it in at the dealership there for an older car for my daughter in college. I asked friends and family for help. I sweated it out. Meanwhile, I had the car towed to another garage for a second opinion. As I paid the $100 diagnosis charge at Barry to get the key back, Carl told me again, “It needs a new turbo. Let me know if you decide to get it fixed.” The second opinion at Village Garage was radically different, resulting in a $147, hour-long repair. The diagnosis was a plugged breather screen. The mechanic cleared the screen and replaced the air filter and the problem was solved. This was nearly $1600 less than the repairs needed as stated by Barry VW. As a result of Barry’s fraudulent diagnosis, I incurred over $500 in car rental expenses, missed two days of work, tried to secure a credit line to cover the high repair cost, and had a week of extreme duress handling all this. When presented with the opportunity to take responsibility for the situation and make it right, Barry’s “powers that be” would consent to only one thing: refunding the $100 diagnosis fee.

I have been taking my IS250 to Lexus of Watertown for a while and then I switched just for minor tune up to Ishkan's Bazarian Motors thanks to my friend's recommendation, who is a car enthusiast. Since then, I never took my car to Lexus of Watertown again. Now, I pay between 50 to 70 percent less than I was paying at my dealership and get the same (or even better) service - the only thing I miss is the nice coffee machine and leather seats:)
I love my experience at this little shop - first, I knew I am not being screwed, second, I was getting superb service and third, my service finally got more personal. Ishkan is really friendly, trying to always help out anyway possible. Once, I had two flat tires after going over a huge stone on I-85 north at night and just towed my car to his place and left him voice-mail on his phone that night. I knew my car was all set, hassles free - and yes it was! He called me the next day and found really good replacements for the tires. I could never get this kind of service from my Lexus dealership. Although, I moved from Waltham to Wellesley, I still go to service my car here. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

THE SALESMAN THERE PROCEEDED TO SWEAR AND USE VERY STRONG VULGER LANGUAGE TOWARDS ME IN FRONT OF MY YOUNG DAUGHTER.
