Appreciated the frankness of the service department - vwbugguy
Ray was upfront in describing out brakes could go another 5-7,000 miles before they would need to be replaced and fully explained the process the department went through in finding the source of the battery drain down.

Yulissa is always excellent.......she always remembers my name.
However.......... my appointment was at 9am didn't get any information about my car until 1pm
What is the use to make an appointment if your mechanics take 4 hours to look at your car.to determine what my car needs??

Not like other car dealers! - brandon_plis
Commonwealth VW is simply the best there is in Massachusetts as far as Volkswagen dealers go. Always received top notch service with a friendly attitude. Usually the service department is quick with their work and they all take pride in what they do. Usually if you go on their website, they are always having specials which actually save you quite a bit of money as well! If you go for service, always ask for Dave or Oscar, they will keep you up to date throughout the whole process.

Cassandra was excellent. - spaceis411
The dealership covers some important service issues--alignment check, multi-point inspection, video of inspection, and simple professional service. (The was was a nice extra.)
The waiting room is clean and well provided.

Best dealership for service - Subbie464
Everyone at Minuteman VW was extremely nice and courteous. I brought my Subaru Forester here after having horrible experiences at all the Subaru dealers in the area. I couldn't be more pleased and will definitely be coming back and recommending to others.. Their service department was the best I've ever dealt with.
Everyone treated me as a friend rather than a regular old customer and did not try to sell me things I didn't need. I don't have one negative thing to say about the entire experience.
I would like to make a special shout-out to Derek Liberty. If you ever have the pleasure to work with him you'll see he is the best!
I highly recommend this Minuteman VW for all you vehicle services needs. They are fair, honest, and friendly.
VW of Medford and Greg Cohen...The best. - MikeB
Greg is a great. My Tiguan runs perfectly after 9 months. We recently had an issue with our Jetta. Greg went above and beyond to make sure it was resolved correctly. I didn't have to call or follow up Greg Rusty and Chris had it all set in 48 hours. When you're buying a car it's not just the car but the service. If you are thinking about purchasing a vehicle Greg will make sure you get the car you need, he's not pushy at all and it's just an overall fun experience the way it should be. Rusty and Chris will make sure your VW keeps running smoothly.

I did not choose this dealership, The VW dealership I always went to sold out the VW business to this one. I have been happier with this dealership and am happy for the chance to do business with them.
Thank you Gervais for buying VW.
Excellent Customer Service! - Judy K
From the moment I pulled into the dealership my experience was top-notch. I was greeted right away by a person who was checking customers in. I did not have to wait. Everything that was going to be done to my car was explained before it went in for service. I was called the minute my car was ready and again everything that was done was explained. I recently started going to this dealership for service and am so glad I did!
Never received a call back - cedougl
I called the service department at Flynn. I left a message for service since they were already helping another customer. I never received a call back, even though I left a call back number, and explained my question in detail.
Service is totally incompetent and dangerous - Charlie
I had been bringing multiple cars to this dealer for years. I brought a brand new VW in with concerns about the handling/steering. The dealer assured me they had examined every aspect of the vehicle with great care, and that the vehicle was fine and handling properly. I eventually found out from a different dealer that the vehicle had a defective steering rack that could have resulted in a catastrophic loss of control on the highway. So, VW of North Attleboro completely missed a potentially fatal flaw in the vehicle that they assured me was fine.
When I informed Tim (the service rep at North Attleboro) what was wrong with the vehicle, he said the problem must have been intermittent. Interesting argument: the steering rack was defective each day I attempted to drive the car, miraculously fixed itself just for the day the car was at the dealer, then broke again the next day. How stupid do they thing people are?
If you wish to endanger your life with utterly incompetent service, then bring your car to VW of North Attleboro. Otherwise, go elsewhere.
Price hidding - wuming
I went to this dealership for changing my breaks yesterday, because I thought the price was reasonable.
For changing breaks for both front and rear, they gave me the price was $800+tax, I was very happy with this price. Based on the prices I got from other dealerships, I didn't trust the price from this dealer at the beginning, so I called them more than three times and got same answer every time. Therefore, I drove to this dealership and took me more than an hour due to traffic. I have confirmed the price which was same as previously mentioned again before gave him my car key and I still had a little bit of worries the tricky of price when I left the dealership.
However, human's direct sense always be true. I got a call form the guy of this dealership when I was on the way back to Boston, and the guy told me he gave me a wrong price and the true price would be $1000 in total. OMG, the dirty thing finally was truly happened. Yes, I was not wrong, I got the call on my way back to Boston.
I thought this was the truth, the guy believed I won't go back even with higher price, because I will waste a lot of my times if I don't take his price. After negotiation, he gave me the final price was $900+tax. I had to accept it because I didn't want to waste my time any more.
I thought this dealership was unprofessional and should be honest all the time. I won't complain if they told me the true price at the beginning. It is very disgusting for playing this tricky to his customers.
Service manager was rude. - Steve C
Had been going there but when push came to shove, the service manager said to me that I wasn't a good customer because I only came in for oil changes. I am no longer going there. The service manager seems to be only interested in the customer spending as much money as possible. Never been treated so badly. They were not on my side and did not have my back on a warranty issue that had been exacerbated by VW.
Poorly Treated - Stephen Ippolito
I have a brand new 2017 KIA Sorrento. The front bumper was scratched up. I took it to Quirk because it was new. They told me they would need to take it apart first. They would not order parts in advance. The insurance company looked at it and said there was no damage. The bumper skin needed to be replace. Quick told me 14 days plus before getting the car back. Boch Collision looked at the car and saw no damage either but a bumper skin. They ordered the bumper skin. It took 1 day. Took it apart and saw no damage. It took 5 days to get my car back.

On 1/3/08, my ‘05 VW Passat had a burning smell and began... - sherri_m
On 1/3/08, my ‘05 VW Passat had a burning smell and began to smoke from the rear. I had it towed to Barry VW. Service Manager Carl Evans had me sign a form to have the car diagnosed and arranged a courtesy ride to Enterprise car rental. The next day, Carl called with the results of the diagnosis: $1700 and 4-5 days, as the car needed “a new turbo line and turbo charger,” coming to $970 in parts and $670 in labor. I asked him to be more specific about the parts, to break it down by item. He said the $970 included the turbo line, charger and any necessary gaskets. I requested a written estimate. He said it’s not written down; he could just tell me over the phone. I said I wanted to stop by and pick up a written estimate; he said they don’t write them down. A $1700 repair, plus accruing rental car costs, put me in a financial crisis. I called Carl and asked if Barry would do any financing or payment arrangements for a repair that costly. He said no, but to try VW credit. I applied online at VWcredit.com in an attempt to get enough money to cover the repair bill. I considered not fixing the car and trading it in at the dealership there for an older car for my daughter in college. I asked friends and family for help. I sweated it out. Meanwhile, I had the car towed to another garage for a second opinion. As I paid the $100 diagnosis charge at Barry to get the key back, Carl told me again, “It needs a new turbo. Let me know if you decide to get it fixed.” The second opinion at Village Garage was radically different, resulting in a $147, hour-long repair. The diagnosis was a plugged breather screen. The mechanic cleared the screen and replaced the air filter and the problem was solved. This was nearly $1600 less than the repairs needed as stated by Barry VW. As a result of Barry’s fraudulent diagnosis, I incurred over $500 in car rental expenses, missed two days of work, tried to secure a credit line to cover the high repair cost, and had a week of extreme duress handling all this. When presented with the opportunity to take responsibility for the situation and make it right, Barry’s “powers that be” would consent to only one thing: refunding the $100 diagnosis fee.

I have been taking my IS250 to Lexus of Watertown for a while and then I switched just for minor tune up to Ishkan's Bazarian Motors thanks to my friend's recommendation, who is a car enthusiast. Since then, I never took my car to Lexus of Watertown again. Now, I pay between 50 to 70 percent less than I was paying at my dealership and get the same (or even better) service - the only thing I miss is the nice coffee machine and leather seats:)
I love my experience at this little shop - first, I knew I am not being screwed, second, I was getting superb service and third, my service finally got more personal. Ishkan is really friendly, trying to always help out anyway possible. Once, I had two flat tires after going over a huge stone on I-85 north at night and just towed my car to his place and left him voice-mail on his phone that night. I knew my car was all set, hassles free - and yes it was! He called me the next day and found really good replacements for the tires. I could never get this kind of service from my Lexus dealership. Although, I moved from Waltham to Wellesley, I still go to service my car here. I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Be Like Mike... - JJF451
Mike DaCruz over at Boston VW is an excellent person to work with. He and his co-worker Armando are first class all the way. Both are sympathetic and unfailingly patient. Can't say enough good things about these guys. Going through the dealership for repairs is expensive, but to me having the expertise, and many times the parts on site, to do the job right the first time is worth the trade off. It helps that I can walk home after dropping the car off for service, but you can't go wrong dealing with these two guys. They are a credit to their profession and Volkswagen.
Love this place!! - VWGUY
Always Great service! Honest people who are always looking out for the customer. I would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the good work Coastal!

I WENT TO ELITE AUTO SALES IN ABINGTON,MA ON 8/15/08 TO SIGN OFF ON SOME PAPERWORK ON A MATTER THAT WAS ALREADY SETTLED WITH THE OWNER. WHEN I WENT IN I WAS TREATED WITH THE UTMOST DISRESPECT. THE SALESMAN THERE PROCEEDED TO SWEAR AND USE VERY STRONG VULGER LANGUAGE TOWARDS ME IN FRONT OF MY YOUNG DAUGHTER. I AM A MARRIED MOTHER OF THREE AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN TO LIKE THAT IN MY LIFE. IF THESE ARE THE KIND OF EMPLOYEES THAT ELITE AUTO EMPLOYS THAT SAYS A LOT ABOUT THEM. I WOULD STRONGLY RECONSIDER GOING ELSEWHERE.
