Stay Away – Especially if You're a Single Woman I strongly advise anyone—especially single women—to avoid Paramus Chevrolet. I walked into this dealership in 2022 as a single mom with two kids, genuinely needing a reliable car. Looking back, I now realize how badly I was taken advantage of. It wasn’t until years later, when I purchased another vehicle from a reputable dealership, that I fully understood just how unfairly I was treated at Paramus Chevrolet. Fast forward to November 2024—I traded in the Chevy I bought from them and canceled all of the warranties they pressured me into purchasing. There were three total warranties from two different companies, all of which I now know were unnecessary and overpriced. The warranty companies issued refunds totaling nearly $3,000, but instead of returning that money to me, the funds were deposited directly into Paramus Chevrolet’s account. Despite clear documentation from both warranty companies—including the exact deposit dates, amounts, and transaction ID numbers—Paramus Chevrolet claims they only received money from one of the companies. The previous owner did send me a partial refund for one warranty cancellation but refuses to return the rest, which is over half the total refund amount. They continue to make excuses like “the owner never got your money” or “he doesn’t have it,” and it's been nearly six months with little to no communication. This is money I paid out of my own pocket, and there is no reason they should be keeping it. It’s unethical, dishonest, and incredibly frustrating. This dealership took advantage of me once—and now again by refusing to return money that rightfully belongs to me. Think twice before doing business with them.

Visit one 25min diagnostic, I put in the part that was ordered, Visit two a power wire and check the system.Overpriced and sloppy work for the price too. A reminder to seek other options for service needs.

I bought a vehicle for just under 40k from this place. (By the way, the vehicle was advertised online for approximately 5k LESS than the actual sale price). It did not have an owners manual and only one key fob when I went to test drive it. I asked the salesman if the deal ship could provide me with an owners manual and 2 key fobs to which he replied, NO PROBLEM!! We can definitely do that!!! Needless to say I am still waiting for my key fob and owners manual. They started ignoring me eventually. If they lie about nonsense like this, what else are they lying about? I’m just some xxxxxxx so what do I know. Im sure they give you a good deal…….. I will never buy a vehicle from this place again. Do what you want, but I think this place employs a bunch of vultures. One more interesting fact. Shortly after I purchased my vehicle, I was able to refinance the loan for 2.3 points LESS than what they gave me. I guess I’m just better at negotiating with the banks……I’m sure it has nothing to do with their level of honesty or integrity while doing business. That would be crazy!!! Dealing with this place has been a thorn in my side from the get go, I know better and I should have walked away from the beginning. Thanks Maxon!! Keep up the good work!!

My experience with interacting with car dealers goes back to 1980 when at 17 I had to accompany my mother to get a 1980 Buick Riviera because her experience was that they took advantage is a male wasn't present...Since then, all my experiences with dealers were that it was about $$ without conscience. The thing I found with Cars by AJ was that they were concerned about their bottom line but there was a semblance of conscience.🤓 They made exceptional efforts to correct a couple of issues holding back the sale. Additionally, from the inception, Stephanie displayed an awesome sense of reception and follow up. And Jon was not overbearing as a sales rep but thorough in his approach..Finally, thank you Alex for pulling all together to finalize the sale. Although it took 4 trips from Roxbury, my wife and I are satisfied with our purchase.

We had a very pleasant experience at Auto Spot of Mountain Lakes and considered a few cars that they had in their big inventory. We only bought this 2017 Subaru Outback yesterday, but we felt comfortable working with Alex (and Antonio) to get the car we wanted - even with realizing that there are no returns once you drive it off the lot. Initially this made us nervous, but we took the car for inspection before buying it, which allayed our concerns and gave us a lot more information on what we were purchasing. Alex went with us to the independent inspection, was a great listener when we had questions, and he was supportive and not pushy at any point. So far, so good with our 'new' used car, we drove it 60+ miles home and around all the next day and it's an awesome addition for us. If things occur soon that we did not anticipate, we will return to this review and update, but we trust that we got a great car for a reasonable price and it was an easy and painless transaction. We will recommend Auto Spot to our friends when they are searching for a used auto.

RUN, don't walk away from this dealership. The service dept. Repeatedly lied to me. On a design flaw on my car, where the recall had aged out- they told me "It could not be fixed". When pushed by Nissan Corporate- it could be fixed.. They lied and claimed the engine would have to come out in order to try fixing it - over 3,000 +, plus the actual repair. They stonewalling, stalled and Repeatedly lied. I had it towed out and taken to an honest, competent mechanic who fixed the problem with No engine removal for a small fraction of what these thieves asked. This total lack of morals, ethics and unprofessionalism could Not exist in an honest dealership ! RUN ! ! John G Sparta

I am HERE after almost 2 years from date I purchased the 2019 Ford Escape from Cartopia. My review is a MUST READ before you buy from CARTOPIA or any used car dealership! Mar 8, 2025 - Posted on YELP Did you buy a car from CARTOPIA? Are you investigating their reviews? I purchased a car from them on 4/14/2023. ZAID was my salesman and OMAR was the Sales manager. I also interacted with CASSIE, office manager, and CARLOS , the assistant office manager. Sometime around May 30th, 2023, all 4 employees were terminated or resigned as a result of my transaction, yet, Cartopia would not move towards a respectful resolution. I am completely confused. In spite of Consent orders filed against them by the Attorney General regarding deceptive sales practices, Cartopia must think that the Consumer Fraud Protection Act does not apply to them. The most recent was filed on 5/23/2023. This was only 32 days after my purchase! My left front tire went flat on the way home from Cartopia. Check Tire Pressure light came on. This was the 1st of 4 flats ( each tire ) which caused me to use 2 of my AAA Road side Assistance allowances. I left the dealership with 3 different brands of tires on the car? Per Zaid, the tires only need to be in the same condition. I did not notice 3 different tires when I test drove it because it did not have 3 different tires on it until it was brought around for me to leave. Zaid denied any switch of the tires. Also, as I drove home, The car pulled hard to the right making it difficult to keep straight and in my lane. I also did not notice the pull because Zaid directed me to go around the block, all right turns when I test drove it. The High beams did not work. Within that week, the check engine light came on, the Check Tire Pressure, and the check oil light. If this car received a 150 point pre-sale inspection, as advertised, these issues should have been repaired prior to sale. Cartopia reset the check engine light 3 times and authorized Fette Ford to do the same. They pretended to fix the high beams and had to look up "How To" turn off the Check Oil warning by going to YouTube! I waited no less than 4 hours at the Service Shop while they played around with my time and my car. How about this - In May I received a Summons to Appear in No Plainfield Municipal court for - Failure to Appear!. The trade that they stole from me was driven by the salesman with my plates on it. He got a ticket and sat on it. He then took my trade with my plates on it for the entire Memorial Day weekend of 2023! So, I have filed a Complaint with the Attorney General and the Division of Consumer Affairs and it has been deemed eligible to proceed to Arbitration. So much went down that I am confused why Cartopia would not want to resolve this …like…2 years ago? his is public knowledge and anyone buying a used car should research the dealership before you purchase to understand how they treat and respect not only their customers but their Name as well. the tactics and strategies they used to blindside me, then you will know what to ask, what to look for and what to investigate before you sit down at a desk. I promise that you will be astounded by the audacity of these players and angry with the Attorney General and the DCA for not following up to ensure that they are complying? They don’t even deserve a star. Trash dealership. They take a deposit and Shan’t is a liar. Told my husband and I our refund would be issued between 2-4 days. It’s been 5 and when my husband called 5 business days later still no refund. When my husband called tonight the representative Natalia was unhelpful in escalating this. Told us next Monday it would be issued this time. Who knows. We have filed a complaint with New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. Scam artists at its finest. Avoid at all costs.

Excellent overall experience!!! They service non Accura cars. I took my Honda Accord EXL there because there pricing is much less than others. Appointments easy to make, appt. and pricing confirmed pre visit. Facility clean, small but with very comfortable seating, complimentary refreshments available, individually wrapped. All employees friendly, nice, complimentary car wash and vaccuming. Over all Short wait time. Christopher Odgers, Service Consultant is exceptional. He was very professionally cordial, very approachable, listens attentively., patient, knowledgeable, readily answered/ explained all of my questions about present and future service needs, in a non condescending manner.
