Dear Reader, Joy and I are in our early 70's and have purchased three new cars over the course of our marriage: Once at the beginning; one during the height of our car/transport needs and now this 2026 IONIQ 5 Limited that we purchased today. Over all those new car-buying experiences - and not counting the few used one's we purchased from a dealership as well - none came close to the quality of care we received from Andy and Ben. (I should include my initial online contacts with Dan, as well.) To a person, they were competent in their demeanor with us; considerate and friendly; authentic (as in, "being real" and not a "salesman"); educated on the facts and admitting it when they didn't - but were willing to find out; genuinely sincere. We came away with not only the car that we were looking for, but with the sense that we actually made friends with some individuals who, when they leave their "day job," are the same at home with their families. They helped us above and beyond our expectations, and our expectations are not low, but nor are they unreasonable. Andy's conscientious time with us in test driving and getting Joy the right vehicle she wanted, was simply matched by Ben's absolute friendly expertise in managing the financial aspects of the purchase. Perfect. You as the reader may well ask: It's just a car sale, dude! But for us, a purchase of this amount was no small decision. We accomplished what we were looking for in a purchase and we got more. To me, I call that grace. A word a daresay not associated with the automobile industry. But we received it today. My family and I had a great experience here at the AutoNation Hyundai Carlsbad! We had been searching for a car for my daughter and we found one that she was interested. The person helping us was Noah. Such a great guy. He give us the keys to the car to test drive. We told him we would get it. We did everything in two days since it’s was almost closing time. Came the next day and it was done. He go the car detailed with gas and even dropped it off on Monday for us!! 10/10 service!! Definitely going back if I ever need a friend or family that needs a car here!

I checked the inventory online and narrowed it down to two vehicles. I contacted Garland Latta and he ran some numbers and called me back with a very fair offer. I settled on the new Sonata. The finance person had me fill out everything online and sign 80% of the documents. I live an hour from the dealership and Garland had a very nice lady deliver the car to my home and pick up the trade. I usually find the car buying process to be a pain in the ...... but Garland made it painless.

I came in for some service when my leased vehicle was having engine trouble while on a road trip passing thru town. I was helped by Dominic, who is an absolute super star. Dominic was able to diagnose the issue and get it resolved in no time. He also identified a minor recall on my vehicle and got it fixed while I was there. Dominic single-handledly saved my roadtrip and earned this dealership a top-notch rating. Oh, and my car got washed. If you come in for service, go find Dominic.
