Did some online searching and found a truck I liked listed at Valley GMC in Apple Valley. I stopped in for a test drive and met with Shane Carnahan. He was helpful and worked with me on a new GMC truck. Liked the truck but was undecided. A week later I returned to drive it again and we ended up making a deal. Just picked it up and they did a great job of getting it ready. I had an extra accessory installed and it looks really great. For the finance piece...Joel Mullett is a great guy and helped make the financial components work smoothly. He was was easy to work with and resolved my many questions quickly. Trisha set up a time for me to arrive at the business to complete paper work and answer many questions. She made sure that the new truck was ready to go after all the paper work was completed.Trisha is a super salesperson to work with. I looked around for a new truck like this one at several other GMC dealers around Ia and MN. I am very happy with the GMC and the way the whole sale was completed. Trisha made sure that the blue tooth phone set was working, along with helping me with instructions to operate the navigation system and showing me all the other options that the new truck had to offer. I wish that I could give them a zero. What a horrible experience buying a used truck here. The salesman Rod told me that the truck had been inspected, serviced and oils changed prior to the truck being put on the lot. It was raining the day that I showed up so I missed some things that were hidden with the rain. The tires were horribly weather cracked and worn, one headlight didn't work, the brake pads were so worn that they are almost metal on metal and the oil change sticker was from Mills in Willmar so they didn't change the oil. There are more issues with the truck but those were major items that would have been found had they actually inspected and serviced the truck. I'm pissed and will never do business with Paynesville Chev again. My response back from Rod was "If you want a perfect truck look in the front row."
It's now been over 2 1/2 weeks since I left a message for Doug, the manager at Paynesville Chevrolet and no response. They don't care about me any longer, they got paid. Beware of what you do here and remember that honesty and integrity are not what they stand for.

Stay far away from them. We bought a beautiful low mileage truck with dash lights that they told us was a sensor issue. When we got it checked out, they were shocked we could even drive it the 2 hours home. The struts were cracked, the whole drivetrain was barely even on, and we've spent more on repairs than we paid for it. It's still having issues and we have gotten into serious debt because of this purchase. Don't waste your money here!

Service department not up to par. I had a problem with a vehicle under warranty. I didn't feel safe to drive it. Walked into the department looking for advice and help. No one greeted me. Finally I found someone to talk to. He must have been new because he was clueless yet tried sincerely to help me, but he was met with roadblocks. I was turned away. I contacted Johnson Motors of St. Croix Falls, WI. Extremely helpful, and within 5 minutes of them inspecting my vehich, they put my fears at ease and made a plan to fix my Chevy vehicle with 18,000 miles. Stillwater Motors...shame on you. I will never buy a car from you again nor allow you to touch my vehicle for service.

Posting an update in regards to our previously posted negative feedback...
We had a meeting with Walser GMC VP Pete Swenson. Pete took the time to meet with us, hear us out, and empathize with our experience about the service that we received from the service department. But most importantly to us, he apologized on behalf of Walser for the situation, and without any hesitation whatsoever, offered to make it 100% right.
As a Walser customer of 10 years, we are relieved and thankful that Pete took the time to meet with us personally and make things right. I would encourage anyone else who either reads or posts negative feedback related to Walser GMC to at least give Pete a chance to make things right before just completely walking away from them. I can tell you from our experience that he was genuine and will not disappoint. We simply believe that we are customers worthy of having; and it was clear to us after meeting with Pete that Walser GMC indeed felt the same.
I can honestly say that meeting has turned us from becoming detractors into PROMOTERS of Walser GMC, and given our 10 year history as customers, that truly means a lot to us.
Thank you Pete. We will gladly come back again.
Improperly installed skid plate after oil change. - wcook16
I brought my car in today for an oil change and on my way home I noticed a thumping under my car. I pulled over, looked underneath and saw my plastic skid plate dangling by a couple fasteners. I called and spoke to the manager and he offered to fix it. This is after I brought my car in earlier to have my wheels balanced, as I was having a bad vibration on my steering wheel. Only to be told I had a bad wheel bearing, which was causing the vibration in my steering wheel. Funny that I would fee a rear wheel bearing through my steering wheel, plus they didn't do the balancing that I asked them to do. i had another place balance my wheels and low and behold all vibration is gone. As for letting them fix my skid plate, why would I trust their work? Highly recommend you go some where else to get service.
