I had the best experience working with Diana Strain! From the moment I walked in, she was extremely friendly, personable, warm, down to earth, and easy to talk to. I never once felt pressured or overwhelmed. I was nervous about the experience initially, but Diana really listened to what I needed and provided a solution that made sense for me. She was extremely knowledgeable, honest, patient (especially with all of my issues, questions, and indecisiveness), and genuinely cared about making sure I felt comfortable with my decision. It's rare to find a car sales consultant who feels like a trusted partner, but that's exactly what Diana was. She truly went above and beyond! She even checked in with me after the sale was made to ensure my happiness and satisfaction was met. She truly is the best and made the entire process seamless. Volkswagen of Danbury, Connecticut I paid $210 to Volkswagen of Danbury on May 21 for a diagnostic. They gave me a printed report, which I immediately saved to my phone in case anything shady happened later. That report specifically recommended replacing the fuel injector harness for an EPC light. My trusted mechanic used that exact report to try and order the part. He contacted Volkswagen multiple times over the course of more than two weeks with no response. When I called him today to follow up, he called Volkswagen again. This time, they claimed they never performed a full diagnostic. They said the part was never officially recommended and that it was only a suggestion. That is completely dishonest. Not only did I pay for the diagnostic, they handed me a printed report with that part listed as a necessary repair and followed up with calls urging me to bring the car back in. But now that I chose not to pay their $1400 estimate and go with my own mechanic, they are trying to rewrite the story. If I had not followed up today, I would still be waiting around with no answers and no part. Whether this is incompetence or a deliberate tactic to force customers into overpaying, the result is the same. It is unacceptable. I would not trust Volkswagen of Danbury to service a toy car at this point. Document everything and do not take their word for anything. Always get your receipts. Always save your reports. Always ask questions. If something feels off, it probably is. Protect your time, your money, and your vehicle. This experience has been nothing short of frustrating and suspicious. Do better.

This is easily the best dealer I have ever done business with. Extremely happy with my new GTI purchase, and the overall service that Langan VW provides. Bob was extremely easy to work with, and was not pushy at all. Everyone over there is extremely friendly, genuine, and cares about the customer more than a sale, or upsell. Bob personally took an extra hour to go over the car with me after everything was finalized, and even gave me a tour of the vintage cars in their mini-museum. The entire process from the minute I walked in to see the car, to my last signature was extremely simple. Steve was even able to find me financing that was lower than my bank's seemingly unbeatable rate. I will definitely be sticking with Langan for future vehicle purchases, and strongly recommend them to anyone who is in the hunt for a new car.

Service department ladies and gentlemen at front desk were most gracious, however there appeared to be issues outside of their purview. I purchased two new VW's over the years from Riverhead Bay Motors a Jetta and an upgrade to the Passat and at least 6 or 7 VW's from other dealers over the years. In other words I have always been happy with VW brand. Weeks ago I set up a service call to have one of the air vents repaired which apparently needed a motor which they didn't have in stock, so after patiently waiting 3 hrs I had to make another appointment to have the motor put in which cost approx $ 800 and another 3 hours wait. So be it. When I got home I realized that the defroster didn't function anymore thinking that it was probably a miswiring or something so after a further 3 hrs and a cost of $ 190 I was told that something probably "fell into the vent" causing it to break and another estimate of $650 was offered. THAT WAS AN AMAZING ANSWER NOTING THAT IT WORKED FINE BEFORE. Now I wasn't particularly surprised but I found it peculiar that after having been given a number of unsolicited quotes after Riverhead Bay conducted a $190 trouble shooting of the DEFROSTER they indicated the following repairs were necessary... 1. NEW TIRES- THEY HAD 20K MILES ON THEM, probably $ 800 ? 2. NEW FRONT BRAKES- CHANGED BRAKES AND ROTORS 8 MONTHS AGO heavy wear on brake rotors damaged by emergency brake cables $ 700 ? 3. DRIVER SIDE HEATED SEATS- WORKED FINE BEFORE, now one would guess who would have known whether they worked or not in the mid-fall I DID. $ 700? NOW THE LATEST. Three days after leaving River Bay...the windshield cleaner tank although full and pump motor still functioning does not spray when it worked perfectly fine before. THE INTERESTING PART OF THIS DISCOVERY WAS THAT FILL CAP WAS LEFT OPEN AND ALTHOUGH THE FILTER SCREEN WAS STILL INTACT...SOME GRANULAR STUFF WAS DISCOVERED. SHOULD I BE UPSET? I WASN'T NASTY? SHOULD I HAVE AGREED TO HAVE ALL OF THOSE ADDITIONAL REPAIRS DONE ?
