Couldn't be happier with our pre-owned Lexus!!! - Brenda
We just purchased a 'pre-owned' Lexus IS 250C, from Bayside. Our salesperson, Michele Hamilton, could not have been any better. She was awesome! Every employee/manager we met, was personable, professional and knowledgeable. Jim Tennison and Koby Ruppert did a phenomenal job with the interior/exterior, the car looks brand new! Thank you all, for great service, we couldn't be more pleased!
Good experience. - HappyCarOwner
Kevin Biggam is the best! He not only addressed my issue, but thoroughly explained to me just why it was happening. I feel secure that the issue was solved.

Great deal on Tundra and no pressure tactics - larry1108

John Stefero, General Manager, great attitude, friendly and willing to work with you. Sean in financing- great help with a great attitude and went the extra mile on the financing end of the deal.
Great experience - Eodom1077

Austin was really great! - PriusFans
We just bought a new Prius from Fitzgerald Toyota in Gaithersburg and our main salesperson was Austin Pounds. Austin was really great – very knowledgeable about the car and always willing to go the second mile to help us out. There was never any pressure to buy a car from him; their whole focus at this dealership is to provide customers with the information they need to make a good decision. This is very unlike other dealerships we have dealt with in the past where pressure to buy was standard procedure. We highly recommend Austin and his dealership and would not hesitate to go there again when we need another car.
Fantastic - Benjamin Taylor
The young lady in service was exceptional. Always courteous and precise. I appreciate her knowledge and expertise about my rav4.The experience is always better than expected
Koons Westminster Toyota and Damien Lacks were great! - Happy Tacoma Owner
I recently purchased a new truck from Koons Westminster Toyota and it was by far the best car buying experience that I have had in all my years! And I say that after buying cars for more than 20 years!
My salesperson, Damien Lacks, was very professional and detailed. Damien took the time to listen and answer all of my questions. Usually when you go to a car dealership, they try to size you up first to see how much you can afford or see what type of monthly payment you are interested in. Car salespeople usually seem more about closing the deal and rushing you before you can really make a decision. Damien was nothing like that; he took the time to find out what I was looking for, and explained all the available options. Before we left the dealership for the test drive, he walked around the whole truck and pointed things out and explained how everything worked, including minor details. He did the same for the inside of the truck.
When we got back from the test drive, I had questions about some of the other trim levels compared to the model I tested. Damien walked the lot with me and pointed out all of trim levels including similarities and differences.
Once I decided to go forward with the purchase, the rest of the buying process went very smooth. I met with one of the finance managers to talk about preliminary numbers and available financing options. He explained everything and allowed me time to think everything through. I didn't feel pressured or that I had to make a decision quickly.
Before I left the dealership with my truck, Damien sat in the truck with me to make sure I knew how to use everything , including the 4-wheel drive and he even connected my phone to the bluetooth system.
I drove away with my new truck and I didn't feel cheated or that I didn't get the best deal! Koons Westminster is a great dealership and my salesperson, Damien lacks, is the best! I would recommend Koons Westminster Toyota to anyone!
Great experience at Younger Toyota - Lhigh17

Louis Lee, Number 1 Sales person and Cheryl Taylor made my buying experience easy and care free. General Manager and Sales Manager greeted me and were very pleasant. All accommodating and Toyota smart, no question was hard to answer, they are on top of it. An excellent dealership!!!!

Came in on a whim, but but ended up buying! - Mdoffroad
After horrible experiences at local dealers nearby, we randomly stopped in to see a car we saw online. What we saw was not in our price range, but, after talking to Ray Kramer the sales guy and George Evens the Sales Manager, we ended up leaving with a nice used Nissan Altima. While we LIKED the car, we weren't IN love with it. George ended up being the reason we bought. We knew a few mutual friends and one thing led to another. We ended up driving the car home for less than we had planned, and I fit rather well (huge deal) and the family fit. We had an issue WITH the car, but George took care of it and was a man of his word, going above and beyond. I would not HESITATE to send family to see him.
Great people to deal with. - ryder
We just purchased a 2015 Camry from Bill Kidd's and Mike And Hans were great to deal with. No pressure to buy. No hidden fees. Great warranty. Great financing. Even gave us a new set of floor mats. Hans even showed my daughter how to sync her phone to the car. Thanks Hans. Hans also gave us $5.00 to get gas during test drive,. Sorry Hans we forgot to get a receipt. Mike was a pleasure to deal with and explained everything and you could tell he enjoys his job. Entire staff there were very friendly. Would recommend this dealership to others. Glad we traveled a little further to get the deal done. Very happy with our purchase.
Leasing Rav4 - Ale86

I Drove Away With A Smile!! - Yolanda Madyun
I started my search in VA but but felt they just wanted to sell a car. I decided to go to MD to look at cars. That is when I met Odwar Brizuela at DARCAR 355Toyota. He was wonderful!!!! He immediately put me at ease on the phone. When we met I knew I would not be frustrated with my shopping experience, as I had been the past month. This car was a 70th birthday present to myself. Happy Birthday to me and thank you Odwar.... That's me smiling in the picture with my 2013 RAV4..
Repair Shop pricey but ... - cheated
They may have charged us a lot to take car of some dings, but there service is well-performed, our purchase experience was impeccable and we're still happy years later
Good, but beware of the Title & Tag Department - someoneelse
Everything else was good, but beware of the Title & Tag Department. I asked them to please transfer my old plates to the new car, and to handle that transaction with the DMV, which I am sure they do every day. However, they ignored this and just got me a different set of new plates instead. Either that department messed up, or they have communications wires crossed between Sales and that department. It's minor but it's irritating. Just watch out for this and try to get written documentation of your intentions so they cannot claim they didn't know.
The great thing about DARCARS is that they handle Costco Auto Program customers in bulk, so they are used to selling you a car without over-glitzing you with features and add-ons that you don't need, and you don't have to sit through some stupid "negotiations" process. This is very refreshing.
Just be sure to only contact one of the sales reps that Costco recommends. If some other sales person tries to collar you instead, just ignore them. I had a non-recommended sales rep try to steal my business away from one of the trained Costco reps, which is not approved by either Costco or the dealer, which would not at all have guaranteed me getting all the deals Costco gives you. So just be careful and call the Costco Auto Program number if you are unsure at any point in the process.
Awesome experience!! - S.D.
After a horrendous car buying experience at another dealership, I went to see Matt Tevis at Toyota of Southern Maryland. I'm so glad I did! Honest, professional and friendly! There were no hard sales tactics used and I am 100% pleased with the entire process. Matt Tevis listened to what I wanted and delivered with a smile. Craig Payne made the financing work in my favor and had us out the door in under 20 minutes!
Has renewed my hatred of car service stations - Camaroguy20675
I had grinding brakes on my 2008 4 Runner, and I knew the service would require new rotors. I have changed the pads and rotors numerous times in addition to replacing a seized brake caliper. I knew it would be expensive because of being a dealership, but I was not expecting the total raping I received. I expected to pay around 1000 dollars and was happy when it was only 900. During the replacement of the brakes, they discovered I also had a seized brake caliper, this had previously cost me around $75 at Autozone for the part. 4 rotors and brake pads have previously cost me around four hundred dollars to do the work myself. I was amazed when they said it was an additional 725 dollars for the new caliper. I am currently in the hospital and I am not capable of doing the work myself and only had the one day to get it done. The service rep told me there was no additional labor because the labor was already covered by already removing the rotors, tires, brake pads etc. What is even more a slap in the face is that he made it a point that he was doing me a favor. Just google 4 runner front brake caliper and see the price yourself. Great way to treat a 20 year vet and cancer patient. Absolutely horrible...
I would do it again! - Patrick35
My overall experience was fantastic. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and on my side. Keith and Paul were great guys to work with. I would definitely buy my next vehicle there!
Purchase of used vehicle - CruzrChica
I purchased my FJ Cruiser from Pohanka Toyota last month. It was a great experience!! Patrick Branon was wonderful. I told him what I wanted and needed in a vehicle. I wanted something I could go on the beach with, and a bit rugged for me and my dogs. He helped me pick out the perfect car, he didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. He was very easy and pleasant to work with. He knew all the features on the car and even set my Bluetooth. The manager Thurman gave me an Excellent deal. There was none of the usual back and forth business, he offered me a fare deal right out of the gate. The finance manager Rachel was very knowledgeable, fast and efficient. The process was less then 2 hours from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this dealerships!!
Awesome - Maria
This is my third RAV4 I am delighted and happy with my new ride. Previously it took hours in the sales department when you buy a car, I was out within couple hours. Thanks to Samuel for making the transaction smoothly, and Mike in the finance department making it even easier. I give customer service a 5 star rating.
Nothing Special - qwerty
This review is for the used cars.
I purchased a used car from this dealership. If wasn't a Toyota. So they didn't specialize in it I'll give them that. But it seems like they didn't even touch the car. I only got to see it at night (silly me). But the interior seemed clean. I drove home only to discover it had quite a bit of pet hair all in the car. My poor husband is allergic so I had to have the car professionally detailed. In the past when I have previously purchased a used car dealership selling it usually would have the car detailed look like it was brand-new.
This was not the case. Secondly, I don't think that the dealership really looked over the car or serviced it at all. When I got it home the coolant and other fluid levels were extremely low. I'm glad I decided to check so I wasn't left at the creek without a paddle. I thought that they would at least give it a complementary oil change and top off the fluids at the very least. These cheapos wouldn't even fill up the gas tank.
Lastly, they messed up the tags. I should have gotten 60 days but they write in 30. They told me to just change it with a marker... yeah no.. Overall, I got a good deal because they were desperate to get rid of the car. But don't expect any bells and whistles. No gas, detailed car etc. Only buy something here if its insanely cheaper than anything around.
Deceptive Cross Selling instead of attending to recall issue - Abie20770
I brought my Toyota Corolla in response to a safety recall. I did NOT request any additional service. Nor did I report any problem with the vehicle. Mr Lee Tensley who attended on me came to after a wait of two hours to say that the headlights needed cleaning, (a second issue that I do not recall), and third in order, an oil leak. As I was to drive 500 miles to Canada the next day I was blackmailed into agreeing to have the reported oil leak fixed. I was charged $337.92 for this service. Although I requested the cashier at the time of payment, I was not given the estimates that Mr Tensley had brandished before me. I was given only the bill. Not even the inspection report. On closely looking at the bill today, I was astonished to find that it stated an untruth: " customer states the timing chain tensioner is leaking please check and advice." This is a total falsehood. I did not make any such request. I am not an automobile mechanic. It is inconceivable that I would have reported this problem. It is clear from the order of the three repairs Mr Tensley suggested, that it was just a way to hoodwink the customer into paying for unnecessary and unwanted repairs. This sort of cross-selling to customers who came solely in response to the safety recall is UNETHICAL. It is nothing short of blackmail. The statement on the bill attributing a request to me is a complete fabrication. This kind of cross-selling under deception is illegal and I demand a full refund.
