Im just gone start off by saying, Dealerships are well known for hidden fees and extra bs, I called to reserve a vehicle with only color within a 50 mile radius and was told by the GM we cant hold any vehicle without a deposit in a nonchalant manner, a typical GM mindset, David DeLa Pena get all praise for pulling through on making sure I got what I was looking for. 2018 Tahoe - Satisfied Customer
I'm not an easy customer, I have bought a new vehicle every 2-3 years my entire adult life, so I know I think I know the ends and outs of how dealers jack customers around. I dealt with a good sales rep named T.J via email for about two weeks....first about ordering a specific model of Suburban, equipped the way I wanted it as opposed to the way a dealer orders them for the masses. I just couldn't pull the trigger on ordering one, because you WILL pay very, very close to MSRP on it. (If someone knows a way to order one and get a deep discount on it, please let me know!).
Anyway, I decided to go a different direction and hold off.
A couple of weeks later, I was driving by and thought "what the xxxx, let's see what's on their lot" and pulled in. This is where it get's good....I parked my RAM 2500 and got out and walked around for 20-30 minutes looking at their inventory and not one person accosted me. I liked that. In fact, being jumped as soon as I pull on a dealer lot is the one thing that makes me get out of there ASAP. I hate aggressive salesmen. So I see three stunning 2018 Tahoe's....black, 4x4, Z71 package, Midnight Edition. (I would love to see this in a Suburban). I check them all out, still not being accosted. So I walk inside, ask for TJ and we proceeded to go look at the Tahoe's. It was good timing on my part, so let's just say that TJ and Day's Chevy made a sales offer I was very comfortable with.
So just for giggles, I asked them to make me an offer on my 2015 RAM 2500 (which was VERY nice...Cummins diesel, leveled, 4x4, Laramie, Crew Cab, 8 foot bed, Warn winch, Fuel rims, Micky T 35" off road tires and only 10,300 miles on it). Well about 30 minutes later, Days made me an offer on my RAM I just couldn't turn down.
So I got a great deal on a new Tahoe and a more than fair price on my RAM 2500.
Aside from all of those good things I've mentioned, the facilities were immaculate and I only had to speak with two people.....TJ and Chris (the paperwork guy).
Days Chevrolet has the right business model for a modern dealership in my experience.

Just about every time I bring me car in for a grease & oil change I have had to bring my car back in before I even leave so they could put air in my tires. No one has checked it. This time they did not even reset my oil gauge to 100%. I am just wondering what else they did do. I thought this was a 6 point inspection. I never got a sheet for one.

I drove a new honda for three years. I worked really hard and paid it off. I never had anything go wrong with it in miles 3 to 70,000 that I drove it. I traded the honda in for a camaro. So far it has developed a loud rattle in the shifter (a frequent problem for manual 6th gen camaros), the headliner has come unstuck, and another piece of trim has fallen down inside the car. This all happened in the first 5k miles. Tammy in service is really good to work with. I had a hard time with a couple of others especially when one of them told me that I had modded the car when it is totally stock and when I was telling them about the rattle in the shifter another guy asked me if I had ever driven a manual before (to which I said I had about 100k miles experience before buying the car). Both times Tammy jumped in and helped me out. She also helped me get set up with a car so I can go to work. Chevy might not have the most reliable car but at least they will honor the warranty without much hassle. I love my camaro. I hope this is all that goes wrong with it because I plan on keeping it for a long time. Ask for Tammy!

I came to Megel for an oil change and while waiting for my vehicle to be done, I walked the lot and found my dream car. It was beyond my abilities to get, but Chris Barrett said he’d see what he could do. After lots of hard work on his part, I now own my dream car. If you need your vehicle fixed for a reasonable price I do NOT recommend taking it here. They said I needed a new belt because they cut mine off and charged me $200 to put a new one on and when I asked why it would be so much the woman at the counter acted like that was the dumbest question. Also, they said it would be $1,300 to get my AC compressor fixed when we found the part at O’Reily’s for $330 (yes for my car, year, model, etc.) so they pretty much wanted to charge $1,000 in labor. I will never take my car here again to have it fixed.
