Our salesman and customer service rep were great. - Kathypool
Our salesman and customer service rep were great. The only issue was your policy of not getting the special interest rate unless you ask for it

I was told what I needed along what I requested to be - coachstevejones
I was told what I needed along what I requested to be checked. Work was completed in a timely manner but was very expensive at over $800. I was shocked by the charge. Over 50% was listed as labor. I will probably search for another service center for routine things from now on. I was never qouted any prices prior to work being done. I should have asked. I have been a regular customer since moving to Hammond. Much of the stuff I could do myself and will in the future.
The managers at Team Toyota are completely unprofessional... - Honest hardworking American
The managers at Team Toyota are completely unprofessional and will screw you over at the very first opportunity. Do not trust this dealership. There are many other decent and respectable Toyota dealerships to give your business to. I made a deal on a truck with a salesman and manager and they printed the a form out with the agreed upon purchase for me. I was in a rush and had to go do volunteer work for kids that were depending on me. I told them I would be back in three hours to sign all of the paperwork and purchase the vehicle. They gave me their word and promised me they would hold the truck for me and would be cleaning it up while I was doing my volunteer work for kids. After finishing volunteering, I drove the hour back to team toyota to buy the truck just to discover they were in the process of doing paperwork to sell it to someone who showed up while I was doing volunteer work. A spoke with a manager as well as the salesman I dealt with who both told me they were selling it to the other guy because he had bad credit and they would make a lot more money off of him because he would have to pay a very high interest rate to get it financed. So they basically told me they didn’t care about their promise and agreement they had with me and they would rather screw over me an honest and hard working and trusting family man because I have good credit. Team toyota would rather make quick buck by selling a vehicle they already made a deal on with me who is a hard working honest American to a guy who will probably struggle to make the payments. Team toyota is not a dealership that deserves any honest Americans business. There are too many other dealerships around with classy management teams who want to help you find the right vehicle at a fair and honest price and won’t screw you over like they did me. Do yourself a favor and don’t give team toyota your hard earned money and save yourself a waste of time.
I went in with a replacement antenna. - noskcajm
I went in with a replacement antenna. Supposed to be a simple less than 2 minute job. Was told it would cost me $150! OMG! Said they'd have to loosen a grommet, which I had already done. I will NEVER go back to this dealership. Service dept is totally ripping people off. New vehicles have an extra $3000 on the price because they say vehicles are hard to get now. That's above what they make from invoice to MSRP and all the crap non existing charges they have added to the price. Avoid this place!! Find a reputable mechanic and go there instead.
1. Never let a customer drive away from your shop with - justmatt
1. Never let a customer drive away from your shop with only 26 psi in their tire. Especially when pressure issues with that tire is the biggest reason they came for maintenance that day. That’s at 60% and at it’s not safe!
2. Don’t blame an after market tire sensor for the issue because you couldn’t even know because you didn’t even pressurize the tire. Once the mechanic realized the sensor was aftermarket, so his Toyota tool wouldn’t read the pressure, he just blew it off without manually checking the tire pressure. I went back to the reputable (nation wide) tire shop where they verified the accuracy of the aftermarket sensor as the exact match for my vehicle. They put air in the tire and the low tire light went off. They also put air in all other tires bc it wasn’t done at your dealership.
3. Just because you find a plug in a tire doesn’t mean it’s ruined. How about air it up and check for leaks? The service manager performed this right in front of me and it didn’t leak in the slightest.
4. Don’t make up a bunch of bs stories about different checks and yadayadayada. I just brought my truck in to have the tire fixed but I didn’t even get the minimum. Like I said, I left there with 26psi in the one tire I wanted fixed. I needed it fixed. You let me leave there with a tire in a dangerous condition, same as it came in as, and you even charged me for it.
5. I asked you to look back at my service records to see how many times I’d been in for service for that tire, and you wouldn’t even do so little as that.
6. Your service report was false. One line mentioned washer fluid was low so you filled it up. False. Not a single drop was added, admittedly, because you don’t even carry the type of fluid already in there. When I called this out to the GM he said the service report said no service performed. I called bs, aloud, and showed him on the report where it specifically read ‘filled to proper level as need.’ What? After showing this to the GM he just stood there with a blank stare, still insisting I was wrong for raising my voice. I was wrong; but what about the truth?
7. I shouldn’t have raised my voice, but it seems there is a major issue there with telling the truth. You blamed all your inequities on everything else. I entrusted you to properly maintain my vehicle not only for longevity of the vehicle but also my safety. You failed magnificently. I’m sure I could have gotten better maintenance at Walmart. This is a real shame because I’ve purchased three brand new vehicles from Don Bohn dealerships, and they were all dealer maintained by you.
8. To the GM: when you came outside maybe you would have wanted to consider excusing everyone else, asking me what major malfunction was and how you could help. Might have been a good idea to shut it down right away with professionalism. Instead, you chose to throw your weight around, join your mechanics with their yadayadayada excuses and blame the entire situation on me because I was loud. I was wrong for being loud, but didn’t you even want to get to the route cause of why I was angry; and perhaps fix what I was lied to about? I apologize about being loud; however, you dealership has a fundamental problem with being dishonest and providing quality customer service. It’s all about money. I just wanted my tire fixed and I can’t stand being lied to. Your actions proved why I was lied to, received poor service, and treated as if I only listened to what was said then everything would be ok. Business ethics and morality not unlike that of Bernie Madoff. Shame on you and your team.
I had an extremely negative experience working - hknipp
I had an extremely negative experience working with sales at Toyota of Slidell. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone due to the lack of transparency and dishonesty throughout the process.
I reached out inquiring about a 2022 Rav-4 Hybrid. I spoke with a salesperson via text, explaining I had a baby at home and could not come in. She said that she could discuss vehicle information and pricing via text. I asked if they had an LE. I was told no, they had two SEs and an XLE that would be available in three weeks. I asked for the final price for the XLE and then the “out the door” price with all taxes and fees included. I was told the fees would total $3,759.15. I countered the "out the door" price with a lower price and was told that my price range would be better suited for an LE. Having originally asked for an LE, I asked if they had one. I was told they could order a blue one that would be ready in 3 weeks (the same timeline for the XLE – yet that was never mentioned to me when I was specifically inquiring about an LE!). This is where I should have walked away, as it was clear here that this dealership was not interested in being transparent. By this time, it was Friday evening and I decided to take a break for a few days.
On Monday, I texted back asking for the final price for the LE. First, they told me they did not have one available. I sent them the screenshot saying they could get me one in three weeks from our conversation on Friday and then they told me they did have one available after all, but in white. I did not care at all about color, which I told them several times. I asked the price and “out the door” price for the LE. I was told the taxes and fees would total $3,790. This $30 more than the fees for the XLE. The LE was about $3,000 cheaper and the fees should have been less, not more, as taxes would been less. When I asked why the fees were $30 more, the salesperson vehemently claimed that I was incorrect (I was not – I recalculated many, many times). The manager then started calling my phone and both insisted I needed to come in. Clearly, they did not want to keep putting these things in writing where I could easily double-check their math and keep a record of their own quotes.
Eventually, the salesperson told me that this price included “state fees/documentation” that was never mentioned in the “out of door” price for the XLE. I offered to pay for the asking price of the car, the relevant taxes, plus only the fees I was originally told about and was told no. The difference was only $378.25. They stated they could not lower the price because they were unable to “negotiate with the state of Louisiana.” I pointed out that the $425 doc fee was not to the state of Louisiana and they said it was their “notary service changes” and “non-negotiable.” Clearly, they were willing to lose my business rather than admit they had randomly increased the fees when I inquired about the LE. It is really sad to think I would have a car and they would have had a sale if they would have just budged on this $30 in the beginning when I first pointed out the discrepancy in charges. However, by continually doubling down on the discrepancy and pulling out more hidden fees, they lost my business forever.
At this point, I was fed up and walked away from the deal. It was never about the price difference; it was about the dishonest business practices that lacked transparency. If they were willing to be so manipulative this early in the process, I had no faith that they would not try to insert more hidden fees as I progressed through the process. I refuse to invest my time and money into a shady business. If you want to work with an honest, upfront dealership, this is NOT the place to go. I would be happy to pay another dealership MORE money for the same car if I was treated with respect and honesty.
We dropped off our vehicle to the service center to get a... - Jonathan
We dropped off our vehicle to the service center to get a part replaced. That seemed to go well but they broke our seat and it now makes a loud screeching noise when it moves! It has never made that noise before and immediately upon adjusting the seat when first getting into the car, it started screeching. They refused to take responsibility for it and claimed that there was nothing they could do besides buying a $1600 part (not counting labor) to fix it! The vehicle was purchased from there and every service has been done there but I think this will have to be the end of our business dealings with this place. If you want a dealership that takes no responsibility for its employees damaging your vehicle, Price LeBlanc will gladly break parts of your car and pretend like they have no clue what happened. Otherwise, please consider a different Toyota dealership before taking your chances with this one.
Unprofessional, Dishonest - Lexi
I brought my car to this dealership when the battery light came on. It turned out that the alternator broke and it was over $800 to fix so I decided to buy another used car instead. I looked at John Harvey, and, at first, Matthias Buechler and Randy Davis(whom we had a connection to) were friendly and helpful. They chose cars and gave me a quote that would fit my budget. I found another car on their website that was listed as the same price as every other car they showed me. Now, I understand that they go down differently on each car, but they did not bring this car down at all except for a discount due to our connection with Randy. When we mentioned the other price they quoted they said "well, that was two cars ago" and were very rude during the entire process of actually discussing numbers and that day of looking at cars. We also know the Mannheim of this car, which was listed thousands of dollars over it. We ended up walking out and looking at other dealerships that were not rude when discussing numbers. A few days later we called about getting the cash for my car. There was no response from Adam Griffin until two days later. When he finally did call back they refused to give cash for my car and said they would only give us money for a trade in. I will never shop or service my car here ever again. The people are rude and do not honor the offers the make you. This is the most dishonest and unprofessional dealership I have ever dealt with. Do not trust anything they tell you. They are only out to make money.
Justin & John are awesome - y2flu
I was looking for a 2018 Toyota CH-R in a very rare color (Radiant Mica Green). Started out in Baton Rouge, at the dealership closest to where I live. They didn't have the color I wanted, but he told me that he could get it from the closest Toyota dealer that had one (which was Hixson). So, we began to negotiate, but red flags went up when he only offered me $3500 for my trade-in (the Kelley Blue Book value when I looked it up was nearly $6000.) When I questioned him about it, he made up a bunch of excuses as to why my car wasn't really worth what KBB said. Anyway, we finally struck a deal for $19000 + my trade-in value. He went to verify it with his boss, and came back and told me, "I have great news. My manager is insane for agreeing to this, but he says you can have a CH-R for that price, but it has to be that one right there (which was sitting on their showroom floor, in a completely different color.) I told him I wasn't interested and left. As I was leaving the parking lot, I called Hixson and was connected with a salesman named Justin Brown. When I mentioned the vehicle he immediately knew which car I was talking about, and told me he'd call me right back for a bottom line "out the door" price. Sure enough, 5 minutes later he called me and offered me the car at $100 over invoice ($24817 including taxes & fees). He asked me to send my VIN # and some photos of my vehicle so that he could assess the value. He told me he could give me the $5817 for it no problem, and I could pay the rest ($19000) in cash. So, I made the 3+ hour drive to Leesville early this morning to pick it up. I met Justin, who had all of my basic paperwork ready to go. I was then introduced to John, who was in charge of all the finances and warranties and whatnot. He, too, was super-nice (despite being a Cowboys fan) and was awesome to deal with. In less than an hour after arriving at the dealership I was driving off the lot in my brand-new CH-R. I could not be happier with my purchase and the service I received. Do yourself a favor and go visit Justin and John at Hixson,
Lake Charles Toyota treated us like family. - HWidcamp
My mother-in-law was in need of a new vehicle and was interested in a Toyota Camry. We went to Lake Charles Toyota to see what they had to offer. Our salesman, Wool Wooldridge, met with us, and immediately treated us like we were his mom and sister. It was raining when we arrived, so he found the car we were interested in and brought it to us to look at so we wouldn’t have to go out in the rain. The experience from there only got better. He brought us 4 different Camrys to look at, then the rain stopped and we decided to walk out on the lot with him. That’s when she spotted the car we drove home in that day, an electric blue C-HR. It just so happened this car was exactly in her budget. Buying this car was not like any other experience we have ever had. From looking at cars with Wool, to signing papers with Ricky Wilson, it was just amazing! On top of the great experience with buying the car, we also got free lifetime oil changes and inspection stickers! You just can’t beat that! We will definitely be back to Lake Charles Toyota!
Going Back for Things not Checked and Repaired - Birgit
The first time a tire sensor went out on my way home on the tire that was changed at the dealership. I went back and after another one and a half hours of waiting was told that they didn't have the sensor in stock. The second time I ended up with oil smudges on my seats. The check sheet had all check marks in the green. When I return to my house and pull up in my driveway a nice gentlemen stopped to tell me that one of my rear break lights wasn't working. So they didn't check my lights either. Now I wonder if they even checked my filters or anything else. Went back and the service manager fixed the break light for free. Yes, my car is 10 years old, but I bought it at this dealership and have been a regular customer for these 10 years. If they don't want to work on it any more they can refuse it. But until then, I expect them be honest on the work they perform, which they are NOT.
I had been looking for a 2022 Toyota 4-Runner for some - JLB
I had been looking for a 2022 Toyota 4-Runner for some time. When the 4-Runner I was looking for was available at Musson-Patout. I reached out immediately and they were able to get me rolling easily and quickly. Great experience.
I went to All Star Toyota and looked at a new Tundra.... - randallducote
I went to All Star Toyota and looked at a new Tundra. They looked at my Tundra and told me they would give me 17 thousand for it, and told me the would give me 18 if it had better tires. I put new tires on it and went back in two months. They looked at my truck and told me they would give me 10 thousand. When I inquired about the drop in the amount they offered they said it was because the wheel bearings in the rear end were bad and needed to be replaced. I told them that I wanted to talk to the sales manager because I was angry about why a 1500 dollar repair was going to knock 8 thousand dollars off the value of the vehicle. When I started talking to the sales manager he stuck the palm of his hand in my face as to tell me to shut up. I told him "Don't stick your hand in my face like you are talking to a kid." I then did it back to him and asked him if he liked it. He then started yelling "That's it." He then walked off. I guess he doesn't know they sell Toyota trucks all over the world and was thinking he had the only ones. I just went to San Antonio and purchased my new crewman. I wouldn't buy a pecan from All S--t Toyota. When They replaced the wheel bearings in the old truck they told me to be there at 8 am, and I was. They put the truck on the rack and began working on it at 1pm. When the truck was driven out of the bay the front end was rubbing because they had bent the dust cover on it. They told me to bring it back if it didn't stop in a couple of weeks but it was 4pm so they didn't have time to find out what was rubbing at that time. These people are idiots and should be cleaning the parking lot at a fast food restaurant.
consistent concern shown - 'Lipe'
I must highly recommend the sales associate Kevin Gorman at Toyota of Bastrop. After first interacting with him some months ago in my search for a low-mileage 4Runner, he has kept up with me, and called periodically when something has come in that he thinks might fit what I am looking for, I did eventually find my deal through Car Gurus and will be picking up that vehicle tomorrow. When I told him of the vehicle, mileage and price I am getting it for, he genuinely seemed happy for me.
I have a Toyota household. My son will be graduating in a few. He has his eye set on a Toyota 86; I mean he is every bit as enthused over that car as I was for one of that car's forebears in the 1980s, The Corolla GT-S. It's kinda in our blood that when we find something good, we stick with it.
Sales people like Kevin Gorman make that a whole heckuva lot easier!
Service, service, service! - MamaV
No one but Van Trow Service has worked on my Highlander since I bought it including oil changes. It is in tiptop condition and it's going on eleven years. MY Service representative has never failed to deliver.
