Great people and dealership - dbook72
One of the few places I visit where I wasn't being hounded about buying new. He was very helpful, patient and courteous. The next time I have to get a car I'm going there again

Best Halloween Treat Ever- Our 2017 KIA Sedona! - Charlene 72
On Halloween 🎃 we got the best treat ever! Our awesome high quality like new 2017 KIA Sedona! Tevin was such a great professional who assisted us with finding the perfect match for our needs and situation. We had to find a new vehicle unexpectedly while working a contract job here in Maryland, 2500 miles away from home. It was a stressful time and we were sure we would have to “downgrade” due to our situation. Tevis, Cindy and Chris made us feel welcome, worked with us to find exactly what we needed,EXCEEDED our expectations and made sure we left very happy with our new “upgrade”-the KIA Sedona. Rocky in the service department also did an excellent job assisting us with a couple of minor repairs to make our van like new. The extended 100k mile warranty and free Oil change/car wash for a year can’t be beat! Best auto buying experience ever. Charlene & Jeff M.
APPOINTMENT WAS ON TIME - SHARON32
SERVICE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND TIMELY. MY VAN WAS RETURNED TO ME CLEANER THAN WHEN IT CAME IN. I DID NOT HAVE TO WAIT LONG FOR THE SHUTTLE TO TAKE ME TO WORK AND THEN PICK ME UP AT WORK WHEN THE SERVICE WAS DONE.
very nice car purchasing experience - jy
I must say this is the best car buying experience so far.
The sales person, Carlo and the GM both were very kind and helpful.
They gave me enough information for me to make an informed decision.
And I didn't feel any shady stuff going on unlike my other car buying experiences.
They tried to work with my needs.
And I also like the finance mgr. He was very straight forward and respected my time.
The experience was almost painless, then GREAT! - TEAM JEFFERIES
The day we purchased our New Sorento was not planned. We only came in to compare pricing. Kirk was very attentive to us and not pushy, because at the end of the day you can't make people buy a car. My husband is a pretty tough customer, but Kirk never loss his professionalism. We wish him much succcess and we will recommend him to friends and family!
TEAM JEFFERIES... you are lucky we didn't go to Waldorf KIA :)
Worst Kia Service Department I have been to - Mel Will
Unfortunately, I did not have as pleasant experience as some of the other reviews would lead you to believe a person would. I made an online appointment for service at this location because my previous location, Kia of Ellicott City closed. Mind you this location is not close to where I live. My appointment was for 1p. I arrived early as I tend to do, waited until someone realized I was standing there and began to assist me. When I arrived there was a younger gentlemen assisting another customer who he got a little snippy with when the customer asked couldn't he just buy his own windshield wipers, the response, "it's up to you buddy, I don't care either way". Anyway, there was an older gentlemen that helped me. Checked me in and went over what service I was there to get. I then asked if someone could check some additional things, shaking and rattling in the car and to ensurer the breaks were good (a break inspection was included in my service anyway). The gentlemen told me that I should be out around 215-230p, let me know about their snacks, coffee and wi-fi and I went out to the waiting room (this was about 1240, the technicians were on lunch until 1p). I sat in the waiting room for about 15 minutes then received a phone call so I went outside to take it. I was on the phone for quit a while realizing that my car had not moved. There seemed to be a ton of appointments at 1p and they were taking in cars but not mine. During that time I was on the phone, the guy who helped me came outside and let me know there were factory recalls on the car which I was aware of and I told him that I knew but would schedule for those for another date since I know they will take some time. He said ok and went back in. I got off the phone around 1:45p and my car was still sitting in the parking lot. So I went to the service counter and asked the younger gentlemen who was already snippy to another person, when my car would be taken in. I was met with "well I don't know who you are or who has your car so I would have to check" not very customer service friendly. So I said ok and left out back to the waiting area. I sat there for another couple minutes and nothing, no follow up, nothing. I went back in to the service counter and spoke with the guy who initially checked me in and asked how much longer will it be before my car goes in seeing as though my appointment was at 1p and it was almost 2p. He precedes to tell me he didn't know and that they had to find a "certified" technician to look at all the additional things I asked them to look at that the other place I paid a lot of money too may have done wrong (I did tell him I had work on the car previously and not sure if it was done right). Wait, what? I figured since I was at the Kia dealer, the technicians were all certified. He was not nice about it when he said it. So I asked for my keys back and I let him know that at the very least, if my car was going to take a longer time, that could have been told to me while I was in the waiting area, when he came outside to ask about the factory recall or perhaps when I asked about the additional things, simple as ABC of customer service. He was unbothered, did not care that they just lost a customer and I pointed that out. I let him know that I see that they do a lot of business, probably because the one in Ellicott City closed and they seemingly do not care if one customer slips through the cracks. Again, he was unbothered. I asked who was the service manager, and I was told "Butch". I asked for contact information for "Butch" and was told "its the same number you called to make the appointment". Wow. Seeing as though we had already discussed that I made my appointment online, that was an uncalled for remark. I reminded him that I did not call I made the appointment online and he said just call the service number. Ok. Good luck getting in touch with "Butch". I called multiple times after I left and kept getting the "we are currently assisting other customers, please leave a message...." I left no message, no one seemed concerned about how I was treated because they couldn't even come to the waiting room to provide an update. So if that is the conduct of the employees, then it must be condoned by the boss. So thanks Butch! I have been to many Kia dealerships from North Carolina to now Maryland and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had with Kia. I plan to also send an email to the corporate office over this location because I think this is beyond substandard. I didn't ask for anything above typical customer service, after all without customers, you would not have a job. All of this could have been prevented had the guys who work the desk had a little more tact and a lot more customer service. How hard is it to say Ma'am we know your appointment is at 1p but we are behind or we know your appointment is at 1p but it is going to be a longer wait while we find the right technician to check the issues discussed...something.

An experience above all other Dealerships! - Hank
I have taken my time looking around and after numerous searching decided upon purchasing a Honda Pilot or KIA Sorento. Came very close to buying the Pilot. I had a lot of pressure from the Honda salespersons. Then I spoke with Earl Ward of KIA of Bowie. What a Huge difference! He did not pressure, was willing to discuss the differences between the two vehicles. Sure he bragged about the greater advantages of the Sorento. Then he backed it up, going over and explaining every in greater detail than any of the Honda salespeople. The Sorento SX is a much greater SUV than the Pilot and far more than I was looking for! I gave him very tough expectations and he worked hard for me with KIA management until he found me an even better DEAL than I had expected. Both my wife and I are very, very happy with our new Sorento SX and the ease of assistance maintenance at the dealership.
Thank you, Earl!, You've has definitely earned our continued business!
Horrible Dealership and Products they sell - Bluekate
I was rushed into the sale of this car and didn't do my research for the car. I had a major horrible scare with my Kia Niro within the first few weeks of owning with a very strong gasoline and burning smells in the cabin of the car. First I thought that maybe I spilled gas on myself, but no, it was coming out of the vents each time I either ran the AC or heat didn't matter what setting you had it on it was bad. Along with the gas smell there was also a burnt wire/plastic smell which was so bad I was expecting to see smoke or flames coming out of the vents, it never did. Both smells made me completely nauseous and sick each time I had to drive the car I had to put the windows down to feel better.
The Dealership literally blow me off (laughed at me thought I was joking) and said it was part of the break-in process I said no way, they didn't even care about a possible fire the car could have, I've owned enough brand new cars and these smells were not typical break in smells, they didn't find anything wrong with the car as I couldn't deal with the sickening odors anymore as it was only getting worse. I felt so uncomfortable in the car feeling this sick. There were other things among the smells just didn't seem to jive for a brand car it lacked power and had jerky/missing during acceleration. Good bye KIA brand. I ended up trading it in on a 2019 Buick Encore which has been a wonderful vehicle in the past month since my trade of the junky KIA. They also rip me off with warranties I requested not to get but they put them on the contract anyway.
Please don't do the mistake I did with buying from this dealership with this horrible product they sell.
Worked hard to get what I wanted - Raven
The Kia Niro PHEVs are new, and this dealer was smart to get as many in as they could. Even though they didn't have exactly what I wanted, they worked hard to make sure I could get an interior and exterior color I wanted. Only wish Kia had sent more EXs with light interiors to the East Coast. I can't really comment as to quality of work since the dealership hasn't serviced the vehicle yet, but it was clean with no scratches or dings when I got it.
Very poor service - Disappointed
Will never use them again will go out of my way to Hagerstown Kia for service. 350.00 later car not repaired had it fix elsewhere.

Stripped my lugs, blamed me and other shop that did not exist, charged triple amount on labor, made me find my own vehicle somewhere in their parking lot after service instead of bringing it to me, shuttle service left me stranded for over an hour, performed unauthorized "safety" inspection and did not give me findings in person but mailed it to me later

I had been looking for a reasonably price car for the... - Mihaddaway
I had been looking for a reasonably price car for the last three months mostly through the internet. I went into David Wheeler to make an appointment for my wife's Honda Odyessy. While there I bumped into Greg Phillips a salesman I had known for a while. He asked if I was still looking for a vehicle? I was. I told him what I had been looking for was a hardtop/covertible. He advised they had just gotten one in and I should take a look. The vehicle was what I wanted. We test drove the vehicle and went back to the dealership. I advised at the time my wife had to see the vehicle before I would make a committment and we set up a time to come back. In the meantime he had taken my information for the paperwork. I located my wife sooner than the appt. and called Greg to advise we would be right back. He put a tag on the car again so my wife could take a ride. We came back did the paperwork, worked out a couple minor problems and agreed to pick up the vehicle in two hours. When we return Greg had had the car detailed, gassed and ready to go. John Ireland had all the paperwork ready and we were done in about thirty minutes. Both these gentlemen were as helpful and courteous as any could be. I would highly reccomend them to anyone in the area who was about to purchase a vehicle. The next day I had my wife's car serviced and the service in that dept. was also excellent.

Purchased a new Kia Sorento last month from O'Donnell Kia in Catonsville. I liked the environment. The sales lady that assisted me Joy was extremely friendly, personable & informative. Not pushy, which is very important to me! The entire process was less than 1 hr. I did my research beforehand so I knew what I wanted and how much I was looking to pay - they were honest & upfront!! I would recommend everybody to check out O'Donnell Kia if you are looking for a "No Games" buying experience!!
In November 2008, I purchased a new car (2009 Kia Rio5)... - bkilgore
In November 2008, I purchased a new car (2009 Kia Rio5) from Thompson Kia, even purchasing an extended warranty beyong the 5 yr/60k mile Basic Warranty. I was mislead by Thompson Kia about the warranty and I've had nothing but problems with the vehicle. From paint peeling several times (fixed incorrectly by Thompson Kia) to my car jolting when put in reverse to air conditioner problems and strange noises when steering -- all looked at by Thompson Kia in Fallston, MD and even after numerous visits, they could not fix my vehicle.
I even had to get the Better Business Bureau of Maryland as well as Kia involved and on 08/23/11, I had my car towed to Thompson Kia for they promised they would fix my vehicle and after two days of not even looking at it and then telling me my car was not under warranty (the Service Department and General Manager somehow misread my odometer -- I'm not joking), a week later I was told my car was ready. Not only was the major items not fixed, but also new issues appeared. They denied Mediation/Arbitration by the Better Business Bureau to avoid fixing my vehicle. They did everything in their power to not honor both my warranties! This, without a doubt, was the worst mistake of my life! I wish I had never purchased the car!
