HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY!!!! I purchased a used truck in good faith in January and hardly drove it til Spring. First oil change, my mechanic said underbody coated with a Linex material to disguise rust. All lines rusted. Within a week, the power steering line busted. Towed it to different mechanic and that mechanic said brake rotors and pads worn down and never would have made it through any inspection. A couple of weeks later, the brake line busted. I tried to work in good faith with Laurel Kia but the owner did not respond to my requests. I can not recommend this dealer bc they a.) disguised a problem b.) didn't inspect the truck properly. WARNING TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY DID NOTHING AT ALL TO MAKE THIS RIGHT FOR ME. (Pierce York was my salesperson and I found it easy to work with him. I thought to myself that I would go back and buy cars from Laurel Kia in the future bc my sales experience was good but I discovered that they a.) hid a problem by coating the underbody to disguise the issue prior to sale b.) and didn't inspect properly because the brake pads and rotors were worn all the way down. I tried in good faith several times to work through Pierce w/Laurel Kia and NO RESOLUTION). LAUREL KIA DID NOT OPERATE IN GOOD FAITH IN MY OPINION.

We saw a car on CarGurus that this dealer has. I called and talked to a salesman. I had two questions. The first one was "do you still have this car" He didn't know and had to look on the lot? Seems like there would be a better system than that? I told him my cell number so he could get back to me. He never called (6days ago). 3 days later I filled out a email request on the CarGurus sit that was supposed to go to the dealer. No response.

To really appreciate Daniel Rouff @ King Kia you need to shop around other dealerships first. Otherwise you want be able to grasp the real difference thus, regret going other places. Actually after you shop there, you'll be coming around even without apparent reason (you'll have a nice new Kia by that time). Jokes aside - all that is said about Daniel and King Kia in comments below is more than true, come and see for yourself.

The staff are very friendly and easy to work with. I bought a car here and brought it back for the service every time because of this. They are honest and upfront. The reliability of the car exceeded my expectations, I had it for 180,000 + miles with hardly any maintenance except for oil changes. I would definitely recommend them anytime.

Predatory Financing - brileya
Please do you research before you go to Herson's Kia. I was in a bind and needed a new vehicle, but I was upside down. I ended up having the negative equity added to the end back in September 2019. Since my payment was pretty high, I wanted to see my trade-in options this weekend.
The first Kia Dealership I went to said that they can offer rebates to cut my negative equity in half, but I would have to come up with the rest. They told me that they could not move forward unless I had the remainder.
I went back to Herson's Kia to see what they could do. They offered me a great deal at 0% interest and I would pay $100 less a month. The catch, I will end up adding an additional $10,000 to my already negative balance. So I would end up being upside down a total of $27,000.
Luckily, I do not need to trade and I can pay my loan off sooner, however, the offer was extremely predatory. To add insult to injury, the finance manager tried to convince me that it was a great deal. He said that I would end up paying less for the life of the loan because it was with a 0% interest rate. The reality, if I have to trade in sooner than the end of the term, I will be upside down $30,000 at the least.

I purchased my Kia Sorento from Jone about 5 years ago. I have been doing all of my service at the dealership to keep the extend 200,000 mile warranty in take. One main reason I purchased a car 35-40 miles from my home was the free pickup of my vehicle and Loaner service, after two plus years the stopped the program. I have been telling them I felt issues with the car each time I came in for regular maintenance service, always told nothing wrong. On monday I came in for a regular oil change and recommended Transmission flush and cleaning. On my 45 minute drive home (last 5 minutes) the check engine light came on. I am now being told it is an intake sensor. Understand I hit my 100,000 about 6 weeks ago. Outside warranty!! Not cover with the Jones for life (I do not know what would be.) Not very honest dealership.

Purchased a new Kia Sorento last month from O'Donnell Kia in Catonsville. I liked the environment. The sales lady that assisted me Joy was extremely friendly, personable & informative. Not pushy, which is very important to me! The entire process was less than 1 hr. I did my research beforehand so I knew what I wanted and how much I was looking to pay - they were honest & upfront!! I would recommend everybody to check out O'Donnell Kia if you are looking for a "No Games" buying experience!!

In November 2008, I purchased a new car (2009 Kia Rio5) from Thompson Kia, even purchasing an extended warranty beyong the 5 yr/60k mile Basic Warranty. I was mislead by Thompson Kia about the warranty and I've had nothing but problems with the vehicle. From paint peeling several times (fixed incorrectly by Thompson Kia) to my car jolting when put in reverse to air conditioner problems and strange noises when steering -- all looked at by Thompson Kia in Fallston, MD and even after numerous visits, they could not fix my vehicle.
I even had to get the Better Business Bureau of Maryland as well as Kia involved and on 08/23/11, I had my car towed to Thompson Kia for they promised they would fix my vehicle and after two days of not even looking at it and then telling me my car was not under warranty (the Service Department and General Manager somehow misread my odometer -- I'm not joking), a week later I was told my car was ready. Not only was the major items not fixed, but also new issues appeared. They denied Mediation/Arbitration by the Better Business Bureau to avoid fixing my vehicle. They did everything in their power to not honor both my warranties! This, without a doubt, was the worst mistake of my life! I wish I had never purchased the car!
