Great experience! Great Car! Great people! - Earnest Dunlavy
Rob helped me out that day in a big way. I came in just wanting to test drive a 2018 Challenger GT, and they had one on there lot. After the drive I knew that was the car and Rob worked with me for a good while to help me get the car at the price I needed. I'm very satisfied with the car and Rob is a excellent dude, and I had a really good experience. He had a great attitude and really changed my perception of the avg car sales man lol. I also had the pleasure to work with Boun Moua in the Finance dept. He is a car guy all the way and also had just a very uplifting positive attitude. I felt really comfortable purchasing the car I did knowing that these guys are not just sales men, but car fanatics. An when your buying a car, its really nice to know that its well taken care of at the lot/ dealership your purchasing it from. If your in Missoula and looking for a car at a great deal and want to get 5 star customer service then I highly recommend you take a drive over to Lithia, Chrysler, Dodge of Missoula, and ask for Rob. Over the top customer service I couldn't be more happy with what I came home with. Thank you again Rob!!!

I buy my vehicles all over the USA, I'll come back here. - Robert
I travel all over the United States, so location restrictions, where I purchase my vehicles, are not a concern. I expect excellent service and a great price. I buy a lot of vehicles throughout the years. This time I was searching for a Tundra, Crew Max, 4x4. After, talking with Dealers in Texas, Kentucky, Nevada and Arizona, I called Butte Toyota in Montana and spoke with Shayna Lamping. She was fantastic going above and beyond, throughout the purchase. She was able to get approval for MY price point quickly,(An excellent price) She answered all my questions promptly, sent all the photos and documents I requested. The entire purchase was made by phone, while I was traveling. Robin Hunt the Office Manager, another wonderful person, drew up and sent all the specification and contract documents, I requested, as well as handled the transfer and titling smoothly. The story gets even better… When I flew into Missoula, Shayna Lamping drove the 120 miles to pick me up at the Airport! What an amazing experience it was to have such incredible service, great price and ease to purchase a new truck.
Thank you to all the staff that made this simple.

Jay was awesome to WORK with. The keyword work... He worked with me, I came in with a price in mind, he did everything he could to get me that price. It felt like buying from a friend, not a dealership. I highly recommend Jay.

He did not pressure us helped us make a good buy that fits our needs. The 2011 MKZ was in good condition but it was missing the operation Factory book that he said was in the car. He when ahead with the help of Paul tge Finance Manager and promised to have it sent to .me. I trust they Will do this, and beielve it will be received shortly.

Jade Premo - whatthepatty
As an older woman, shopping for a used car was very stressful. Jade made me feel comfortable right away. There wasn’t anything in the lot because of my budget. Jade kept in touch and kept looking for what I needed. I now have exactly what I need and am so happy. Thank you Jade for your kindness, respect and going the extra mile for me. I will certainly recommend you and Hertz to anyone looking for another vehicle.
Great Salesman! Greedy Used Car Manager - Car_Buyer_4_60yrs
My wife and I came to the dealership around 5:30-pm Tuesday 4/23/19. We were looking for a possible trade deal for a nice 2015 Blue Ford Edge SEL with low miles. We have a 2013 Genesis 3.8L sedan to trade, also with low miles and similar condition. The sales person, "Hitch", was very easy to talk with, knew his job very well, offered no pressure other than the usual, "If we can find the car you want today are you willing to do a deal"...We took the car for a test drive while the team inspected our car. I mentioned that we were only interested in a changeover price... not what our car was worth and what their car was worth, etc... I had done some advance checking on the KBB and other similar cars to ours, and had a fair idea of its value...even at a dealer price... We were SHOCKED and very disappointed when the manager came over with the offer! We were offered $7,500 trade for our Genesis [see KBB], and the Ford was priced at over $20,000. Way below KBB for our car and at the top of the curve for the Ford! WOW!!! What a 'greedy' manager. Then the Manager had the nerve and audacity to suggest we could buy a 2011 Ford Taurus and pay several thousand extra...again WOW and WOW again!! He must of thought that we were desperate idiots! His greed killed the deal! We really liked the Ford, and the interaction with "Hitch" was great...but, it was the manager that killed the deal as well as totally change our opinion of EVER buying a car from them or any of their affiliates!! It is a pity that Hitch was not able to do the deal... We were CASH + trade buyers too....no finance! I hope that "Hitch" can be promoted to manager soon, as the existing one will probably lose the company a lot of customers! If you DO want to do a deal with that company, be sure to ask if "Hitch" is available...

Classic bait and switch with this place. The Corwin... - Mitch
Classic bait and switch with this place. The Corwin Motors website showed what looked like a nice 2018 Toyota Rav4 Adventure with 24xxx miles. The salesman assured me that the paint was "clean and free of chips and scratches." Based upon this information, my wife and I drove 5 hours and across 2 states to buy this vehicle, as it was a 2018. It was priced accordingly, and at or around book.
When my wife and I arrived, we were shown a 2018 Toyota Rav4 that had so many rock chips in the hood alone that I didn't know if it should be read in Braille or not. Every panel had rock chips in it, except for the rear hatchback. A majority of the chips were down past the primer. I didn't even bother making an offer on it, it was the bad.
My Slick Willie salesman requested that I talk to his manager to see if there was anything he could do to make the sale. I wasn't interested, but I was polite and listened. Managerknew it was a bad deal, because he didn't bother to even come back to speak with me, he had his salesman do it for him. That told me the rest of what I needed to know. He was so embarrassed that he made his salesman clean up his own mess by offering me a tank of gas in exchange for the screw up. My wife and I declined their free gas, it didn't excuse the lie that brought us out to Northern Montana.
Bottom Line: Corwin Motors was very bad business for us, and pulled a bait and switch. The salesman lied to us, dispite knowing that we were driving such a long distance to be there. All they care about is a sale. This is being reported to the Montana Office of Consumer Protection, because this was simply bad business practice, and they should be held accountable for lying to customers. This salesman is the epitome of a used car salesman.....
The Service department is the best - jayellis2010
These guys have the best techs. When it comes to the ones nobody can figure out. They do. One of the last family owned dealers in Montana.
Insulting - Edge
Way overpriced! It was insulting. Make sure to check NADA value before buying. This is the value you should be purchasing a vehicle at. It's what financial institutions and insurance companies base the value of a vehicle on. This is how they offer "high values" on traded in vehicles. I.E. if they are selling as vehicle for $12,000 and it's NADA value is $7500. They offer you $2000 for your vehicle. You get nothing long run. Still over playing on the vehicle and they get your vehicle for free. Not a place I'd want anyone to purchase from. You deserve better!
Great customer service and pleasant to deal with - fireman343

Very low pressure, great to work with - Awaken80

I was very disappointed with the service at grimes. I did... - drizzdog
I was very disappointed with the service at grimes. I did my research, looked up many possible loan choices & prices for the vehicles I was looking for. I saw on grimes motors website an add for a vehicle. I looked into the vehicle & financing through their website & through phone contact/email contact. Offered me different prices for the car. After receiving an offer of 11,700, I said that was too high, I was shooting for around 9500. Private party value for the car was a little over 9,000. It had low miles & it seemed fair but if they couldn't do swing it, that was fine I didn't need a car. They came back to me & said they'd meet me half way and do around 10,500. I said it was unacceptable & they said okay we'll work with it, just come in for a test drive the next day. I said okay I'd be in at 10 the next day. Next day rolls around and I showed up at 9:45 and I come to find out the vehicle is in the shop supposedly getting a headlight fixed. Well fine, I take the test drive, it goes pretty normal and I come inside to talk about pricing, they don't remember quoting me the half way mark. At this point most of my contact had been with the clearly short tempered and snobbish salesman named johnnie. Well they bring out the big boss & he comes in offering me roughly a grand over what I want to pay, back to the 10,500. I say no I can't do that and book is only over 9,000 and if you can't do that, fine. Well the big boss gets up in arms and says "we aren't a retail outfit, we don't sell things at cost" and also claims book is around 13. Well I called him on it and he goes into his office and brings out a sheet of paper that is a NADA suggested retail price of an excellent condition trailblazer. Not private party and not good condition. The vehicle had several things broken inside the car, it had a few knicks and scrapes, but was in overall good condition. Upon receiving the piece of paper, I was told "i Ican see we can't do business" and they started pushing in chairs basically telling us to leave. They even had the nerve to demand the printed out book value paper back. Later I was stewing over it so I once again looked up on it & faxed over a copy of exactly what I was looking at along with a note explaining that I wasn't pleased with the way I was treated. Well I get a phone call 5 minutes later & instead of apologizing, I get "Well my boss told me to call you." speech which means he wouldn't have called to apologize anyway. Then he proceeds to argue what options I put on to find that number. UNBELIEVEABLE. No appologies, just more arguing and more confrontation. If they had just said, I don't think this vehicle is in your budget, you want too low a price and suggested a lower vehicle, that would have been fine. Instead I get rude service from the bottom up and a pretty good sized headache. I did wind up purchasing a 02 trailblazer for the price of 7889 and it did have higher miles but I was treated fairly and with respect.
