This is my third vehicle Rich got me into and he really knows what I want and goes above & beyond to make sure he finds one! This last vehicle was called a "Unicorn" by the sales team because a F-150 in the Lariat PowerBoost configuration is hard to get. Rich and the Matthews Ford Team acquired one from another Dealer and worked a great deal to trade in my Expedition. Rich knew me so well that the whole transaction was done mostly over the phone and when I finally got to see it in person I was very pleased! Took my truck in for a check engine light. After dealing with a different dealership twice and having them throw all kinds of parts at it the mechanic at Bob Johnsons trouble shot the problem the first time and fixed it. The people were very nice and friendly to deal with.

purchased a used Honda Pilot from Bob Johnson Chevy in Pulaski and I was pretty pumped at first, however, as my first month of ownership is about over I am finding my overall experience very lacking. For starters, I noticed a couple of issues with the car prior to taking delivery, Dylan said he would take care of it and neither was fully resolved. I ended up having to purchase a new license plate light (Honda OEM so it wasn’t cheap) as it’s a whole unit, not just a bulb as Dylan assured me it was. Also the front trim on the grill around the headlights was not seating into the grill. Dlyan reseated it but it has since popped out again. I’ve reseated it but I think it’ll have to be replaced, as I am assuming the clips aren’t catching. I also asked Dlyan about my registration (prior to signing anything) expiring within the next couple weeks and he said “Oh we just transfer it, even if it’s just a day away” and that I could just renew it anytime. After talking to the DMV and Maddie he should have selected a box to renew the registration and provide me with a temp. Got a temp but it was only good to the day my registration expired. I had to call Maddie multiple times to get this taken care of before my registration expired. She told me she would push it through the DMV and send me a photo of the registration so I had it since my temp expired on 10/7. Still haven’t gotten that photo and it’s 10/9. Turns out paperwork wasn’t finalized for the loan services, I had to call Nate to find out none of my deal was scanned into their system, so the loan wasn’t funded. My buyout payment was processed about 3 days after my car payment was due so hopefully there’s nothing there that’s going to ding me. I feel like there was some serious details missed on my deal. It’s not like I was buying a $10k used car….i spend close to $30k on this and really and dissatisfied with the experience. Not sure I would recommend Bob Johnson to anyone that asks. ***update…it’s now a month since I bought the car and I still don’t have a registration sticker for the car. Trim around the headlights is once again pulling away from the grill and I’ve discovered yet another problem…the upper radiator support plastics are missing. I truly cannot believe this is how a $30,000 car is sold, and all I’ve gotten from the dealership is a response here stating “they’ll look into my concerns”. Thanks for nothing Bob Johnson Auto Group.

The tech that worked on my car moved my car seat in a crazy position, left greasy fingerprints on my inside door handle! And Taylor Lyon at the service desk is hard to talk to, didn't seem to want to answer my questions.

Our family was dealing with a totaled car after an accident. We were trying to get my brother back on the road, he lives down state. I called ahead and confirmed the car was available the guy on the phone by the way seemed disinterested in even talking to me about the car, but we made the trip anyway, over an hour each way. We found out the bank was another 30 minutes away. But we were on a time constraint so we had to make it work. We made that trip too, got the check, and while we were gone my mother was rushing to pull together insurance cards and ID documents we didn’t know we would need until we were already deep into it. A lot of places give temp tags and we register it on our own. When we texted over my brother’s ID and the new insurance card because they wanted us to do it wile we were driving to the bank guess their time was important, nobody said a word about any issue. We got back and were told the financing manager needed to speak with us. We weren’t financing anything, so that made no sense. No explanation, just wait. I could see the salesman across the room, and what I heard made it clear we were just being stalled. My brother was already on a train to Albany two hours away waiting for us to pick him up. I got frustrated. I didn’t curse or raise my voice, but I wasn’t hiding how I felt either. I did a quick google search (it’s google I could have been wrong) and saw that it wasn’t required by Ny that the registration be done at the dealership, so I tried offered that as an option, but the guy our salesman had been talking to wouldn’t hear it and showed no interest in finding an option that didn’t have us waiting so long. I guess they were trying to find a way to make it work, which he snapped at me to let me know. We could have just done it in my mother’s name and moved on. Instead of working with us, the manager stormed over to the bored whipped our names off walked away and killed the deal. I don’t think the manager realized that we also heard how he was rude to the salesman for trying to register it under my brother. The salesman who was very pleasant and nice, but also in his first month. Then there was why were they saying this to him 30 min after we sent it over. Though I do appreciate them attempting to do this for us, it should have been explained to us. Because we hadn’t scheduled it taking so long. I stepped outside so my mother could finish without me making it worse. I was a bit overwhelmed and removed myself from the situation. She came out of the dealership in tears. I’ll own that my patience ran out. But after everything we did to make that sale happen, the least we deserved was someone willing to problem solve instead of walk away. My mother’s health isn’t great and she pushed through all of it for her son. That’s what makes this so hard to let go of.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Open communication, correct and proper information, and respect for are time we’re all missing wile dealing with this dealership. The test drive was a spin around the parking lot and 2 min to drive from the front entrance to the back entrance of the dealership. I was only ok with that because I knew the make and model well.
