Working with Gem City Ford made the buying process for our new truck a very easy process. This dealership is 2 hours away from where we live, and we have closer dealerships in our area, but it was worth the drive! We worked with Troy Courson, and he was very knowledgeable and helped ensure we were buying what we needed and did not push us into anything we did not need or want. I highly recommend working with Tory if you have any questions or have an interest in one of their vehicles. All the other staff that we interacted with was just as easy to work with as well. We did a test drive, and then we kept in contact to work out the details over the following days. When it was time to pick up the vehicle it was a very simple process of signing the papers and handing over the keys. There was no bait and switch or surprise charges at the end. What they said it was going to cost is exactly what we paid! They were very honest throughout the whole process, which is huge in this industry.

From beginning to the end of the car buying process I feel this was a great experience. Our sales person Samantha who was great during the test drive , allowing my wife and I to just get a feel for the car and make sure it fit our needs. David, in Finance, made the process so easy filling out all the paperwork and answering all our questions to add our warranty and even made the process fun. Big shout out to the managers James(used) and Scott (Sales Manager)for giving us what we needed for our trade that felt fair and also popping in along the way make sure everything was going smoothly. We did notice something about the car and Sam and James got to the bottom of the issue and solved it fast which allowed us to come in when my wife and I's schedule aligned to purchase the car. We even met with Jim, the general manager, and couldn't give enough positive feedback about the process. We are going to love our "new to us" GMC, and will start at Auffenberg Ford Washington for our next car buying purchase.

Originally, we were actually looking at XLT version Ford F150's. We had many dealers in our area but wasn't able to make a deal. They didn't seem to care about the sale. We expand our search and Galesburg Ford was on the list. We saw a Ford F150 Lariat blacked out on the site. As stated earlier we was looking for XLTs. We call Galesburg sales department, and Scott Carlson answered the call. First impressions are the most important for us. Scott, spoke with an energetic and enlighten tone. I stated where we were callings from and wanted to more about the Ford F150 Lariat. He didn't jump right into a sales pitch but asked how the weather was in our area. He also was kind enough to ask if we were affected by the recent tornado that came through our area. His inquiry wasn't a ploy to a sales invite but a real concern. Then he asks calmly what questions we had. After all our questions were answered, we felt we had to have a road trip and meet Scott and see the truck in person. When we arrived, Scott approaches us well-dressed and was smiling. He asked about our trip there. The Ford F150 Lariat was sitting there in front of us. It was more of a vision in person than online. I said let's talk. We all sat down and Scott explained what he could do for us on the Lariat. His knowledge and diplomacy actually made the sale. Scott is totally transparent. No angles or extended sales pitch. We put a deposit down to hold the Lariat till the end of the week. We were honest with Scott, explaining we were going to stop and look at another truck on the way back home as promised. Scott didn't try pressuring us on the purchase. We had pretty much made up our minds while driving to the other Ford F150 Lariat. We contacted Scott and told him we wanted the Lariat. From there out Scott made the purchase smooth and professional. We originally were going to drive back to pick up the Lariat. It was a long trip the first time, so we asked to have it delivered. Scott made the arrangements. When the Lariat was delivered to our residence, I met Bruce and Larry. They were very professional and a privilege to meet. We highly recommend Scott Carlson as your go to sales agent. My 2016 Ford Focus, while I wouldn't call it a lemon, is a huge disappointment. It is a car that has had too much work needed within or immediately outside the warranty period. About two years ago when a little bit of time/mileage was left on the 3/36 warranty, I noticed that it struggled to maintain on hills if your foot wasn't on the brake. I'm not meaning for an extended period of time. I mean in the time that you adjust your footing on the brake or shift to the gas pedal. I realize that to some extent that cars can 'slip' a little bit in these situations and I told the service manager at Paul Cerame Ford this when he tried to lecture me on this. I said, I've driven over 500K miles, for 33 years and with multiple cars, so I have a clue what to expect. I said, this car stands out as one that doesn't hold it's position well. Anyway, just over 2 years ago I took it as this was a noticeable problem. It was covered under warranty and it was 'fixed' and I didn't think about it too much. Bad clutch, authorized Ford dealership fixed it. I'm probably good. I didn't think about a warranty on the new clutch. The warranty I found out that I was given was a 12 month/12K mile warranty. To me a clutch is an item that you should have for a while. Some may need replacing at 30,000 and some others can keep going well over 100,000 miles, but this is fairly uncommon." Okay so my first clutch, it went out at around 30K, my next clutch started failing within the first year I had it and I thought maybe this is something that isn't covered? I don't know, I'm driving another car commonly and I don't do excessive hill driving and I don't do excessive hill parking, so you know I might sense I have an issue and I might just shift to my other car or not run into the situation again where it is slipping for another little while and 'out of sight, out of mind'. I'm reading that they are commonly designed to go about 60K miles before being replaced. But, the (Cerame/Ford) warranty on their replacement clutch was a weak 12month/12K miles. It's like don't count on our quality parts/workmanship for too long. I pointed out that having such a weak warranty indicates that you all don't have much faith in your parts/work. If you did, you'd give a better warranty. So he defended it of course and started to cite customer satisfaction since 1995 or that's where he was going. I shut him down as how is that relevant to me. I had a clutch that fails kind of early on the car and their replacement clutch isn't any better, if anything the part/work didn't last even that long. Instead of owning up the fact that perhaps they aren't perfect he went into a defend the dealership mode and deal with it mode. That's a fine way to treat a customer who has gotten work done there on multiple occasions. As I indicated, I wasn't very quick on dealing with this as I have another car I commonly drive, I have a busy life and it's not real convenient for me to drop the car off there. You know time passes and you neglect. It was all: Call Ford if you have a beef. No, let's see how we can keep you a happy and loyal customer. No let's look at it and see if clutch replacement didn't work out well or let's see if you can advocate on your behalf to Ford. No nothing, just a snarky 'what do you expect me to do about it'? I guess if there is a risk that they won't have a nice payout for work they do, then well, sorry buddy, we don't care. I guess it doesn't matter if you've taken your car to them for work on multiple times before. Tough luck, bring it in an you'll or someone will pay out of the butt. First time, there is a risk that they might get a handsome payout, it's screw you, call Ford. So, I said, "Because I didn't report the problem with the replacement clutch soon enough, this is a well tough luck buddy moment." He said this is a Ford problem. I said, how is it just a Ford problem if you did the work on the replacement clutch and it became apparent that the work wasn't taking too well or lasting that long? I rolled back recently when I shifted my foot on the brake for a moment into another car. Now, it wasn't a high speed impact or anything, but it was still annoying. I told him you know if I were driving my other car, I wouldn't have had this circumstance. I said actually in most cars, I've not had this sort of issue. I said, even after your 'fix' I still had the problem, but I didn't address it soon enough. He was of course unmoved and why would he be? Apparently customers mean nothing to the service department unless they get a big fat payout. So, yeah, if you want service or someone to work with you, Paul Cerame isn't the place. If their service treats their customers like this, I can't see a situation in which I'd buy a car from them. Why so when there is a 'risk' that they wouldn't get a nice payout for work, they shut you down? If a dealership treats me right and takes into account the customer experience and customer concerns, I will be loyal to a fault. However, if they are. Sorry buddy, your tough luck, too bad about our work and it not working out well for you. Well, then I have no use for them and I will let anyone who cares know. So, Paul Cerame, consider me a lost customer forever. I probably will never buy another Ford Focus and I certainly will never consider you when looking at cars or considering where to get maintenance work done. Not only have you lost a customer now and in the future, but to potentially to anyone I have influence with they will be aware about how you treat customers in the service dept. Bommarito on the other hand knows how to treat it's customers.

Took a pickup in for a recall repair on June 28th. Asked service people to look into a performance issue and give me a quote for repairs. Heard back pretty quickly with diagnosis and quote. I told them to proceed and asked them how long they would need vehicle. Service attendant said part a available and would have next work day and would get repair completed. Vehicle wasn't need immediately so left it there longer than what they indicated. After four days they said it wasn't ready, to give them a couple more days. After a couple more day I contacted them and vehicle was still not done. When I asked what the hold up was service personal said parts never got ordered, and it would take a couple more days before part would arrive. On July 5 I sent someone to go and asked if vehicle was ready for me to pick up. They replied NO, that part was in but not put on vehicle. There was only one vehicle in shop and no activity on or near it. I waited until Wed the 10 and called and asked if vehicle was completed and ready for pick up. Once again they replied NO, need a couple more days. Monday morning July 15 drove to dealership to inquire about vehicle. They told me that technician was on vacation for two weeks and i would have to wait until they returned. I demanded that they find a technician to complete the repairs on my vehicle and have it ready to pick up by wed the 17th or provide me the parts and i would complete it myself

We had a recall from Ford and Jim Trenary Ford did an excellent job. Prior to scheduling with Trenary, we took our car to Clement Ford in Wentzville, MO. Clement refused to do the FREE RECALL REPAIR, until we spent over $1100 with them for unrelated repairs. We reported Clement to Ford Customer Relations who called Clement while we were on hold on the phone - Clement told the Ford representative that they had completed the free recall - totally false. Trenary not only repaired the recall, they did a front end alignment for NO COST. Thank you Trenary for being honest and not trying to swindle senior citizens.

I have stopped at Auffenberg motors for years. I have never purchased anything from the dealership because of the sorry approach and gloomy attitude I received when I did stop. But now is different. There has been a complete change of attitude and atmosphere in the dealership. I met the new GM that actually lived in Alaska for some time. Great stories and great attitude. Very refreshing from the previous managers that were there. The good ole boy club gets old after a while. Stop by and see Ryan and his new crew. New Service manager, New Parts Manager, New office manager and last but assuredly not least a New Business manager and his name is ACTUALLY Ricky Bobby!! I was disgusted with the service from this dealership. For me, it's worth the trip to Machen's in Columbia, rather than being pressured into paying for unwanted service/repairs by Lovegreen Ford. I was on a budget and requested a $69.95 diagnostic service of my vehicle that was having some problems. I made sure to tell George (service tech.) to call me for prior approval before any repairs were made. Well, I drove by later in the afternoon and saw my vehicle setting outside (in a different location than where I parked it the night before) so I assumed the testing to be done and thought I would stop in and see what the verdict was. To my suprise they had went ahead and replaced a sensor on my vehicle without even calling me and expected me to pay $240 (which was difficult for me to scrape up). I went ahead and paid for the repairs because I would have been embarassed and felt like an a$$ to make the mechanic pull my vehicle back into the shop and undo all of his repairs. Well, I ended up calling my father who lives in Kirksville and explained the situation to him and he said they had did the same thing to him in the past and he also just ended up paying the additional price rather than asking to have the additional unwanted parts and service removed from vehicle. After hearing this, I took my vehicle back and requested the sensor be removed and the additional cost be refunded to me. I then went and discussed the issue with service tech, service manager, and the owner Bill Lovegreen. I must admit it was heated on both sides throughout the discussions and the service technician admitted he did not call me and that it was all his fault. Bill Lovegreen claimed that I shouldn't be blaming him for what one of his workers did. I argue that at the end of the day he is responsible for all of the actions of his workers and what effects those actions might have on his business, and to think otherwise is "bad business". I just can't help but wonder how many other people have just went ahead and paid for some part/service that they originally didn't want or ask for at Lovegreen Ford, due to the service department not calling and getting prior repair authorization (which is also "bad business"), and ultimately feeling forced to pay the higher prices due to their vehicle already being repaired and outside of the shop. I would urge extreme caution to anyone thinking about the service department at Lovegreen Ford.
