I had an excellent experience at BMW of Monrovia and wanted to take a moment to recognize the team that helped make everything happen. I recently traded in my previous M4 competition and purchased a new double Individual M4 Competition xDrive, and the entire process was smooth, professional, and enjoyable from start to finish. My sales advisor, Bassel, was fantastic to work with. He was honest, straightforward, and extremely knowledgeable. There was never any pressure, and he made sure all of my questions were answered while helping guide me through the process in a very transparent way. Paul, the General Sales Manager, personally oversaw the transaction and made sure everything went smoothly. It was clear he truly cares about the customer experience and about doing things the right way. Jeff from the used car department was also great to work with. He provided a very fair offer on my previous M4 and was friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with throughout the appraisal process. Ryan in the finance department was incredibly helpful as well. Both he and Bassel stayed late to make sure everything was completed properly so I could drive home in my new car that same day. Their willingness to go the extra mile really meant a lot. Overall, this was one of the best dealership experiences I’ve had. The team was professional, respectful, and genuinely focused on helping me achieve my goal. Since we were driving in from South Orange County, he made sure everything was ready for us, which we really appreciated. One thoughtful touch that stood out was having a charger ready for my wife’s car right next to the X6 we came to see. That level of attention doesn’t go unnoticed. Best BMW service advisor in LA! Caesar Pleitez at SM BMW is awesome. He really cares about you and your vehicle. This has not been my experience at two other dealers since I brought my X5 here from Cleveland in 2022. The service department at Classic BMW in Cleveland is excellent and aligns with the brand. I have used 2 other BMW dealers in LA and service was not close to Classic until I found Caesar. If you want a real service advisor who looks out for the customer try Santa Monica BMW and definitely ask for Caesar. Thanks for all the help Caesar really appreciate it!

BMW of Downtown Los Angeles I purchased a used BMW X5 from BMW of Downtown Los Angeles and have experienced multiple failures in communication, commitments, delivery, and follow-through since the purchase. Purchase and Delivery Issues • I was told vehicle prices were non-negotiable but that I would receive a full tank of gas and a properly detailed vehicle. • I made a down payment on 8/29, and two days later received an automated dealer email showing a $200 price reduction, which my salesperson said would be credited. • The X5 was delivered on 9/18 (I reside outside of California). The exterior was understandably dirty from transport, but the interior was also filthy—gum on the carpet, crumbs in cupholders, a dirty steering wheel, and an unclean cargo area. This fell far below the promised “detailed” condition expected from a BMW dealership. • I received only one key fob and no key card, contrary to what I expected. Unanswered Calls and Unfulfilled Promises • On 9/21, I called to speak with a used car manager. After being told managers were in a meeting, a salesperson took my call, promised a manager would return it in 10–15 minutes — no one did. • I left multiple messages and emails for the General Manager “Mark.” His voicemail was full, and the name on it belonged to someone else (“Reuban”). I received no response. • My salesperson eventually responded and promised: o A $200 refund check (for the price reduction) o An additional $95 (for the cost of the detailing) o A call from the parts manager to provide a second key fob at cost None of these have been received as of 10/17. Title and Registration Delays • I was told I’d receive paperwork from the California DMV within 10 days of receiving the vehicle. • By 9/25, the DMV confirmed the dealer had not even submitted the title. • Despite repeated follow-ups on 9/26, 9/29, and 9/30, the DMV and my lienholder both confirmed no title had been received. • On 10/2, I began daily outreach to both the GM and salesperson. Again, no response from “Mark.” • On 10/10, I made the first payment on a vehicle I cannot register or drive. • The DMV later confirmed the dealer started the process but never completed it. • Only on 10/14 did the DMV confirm that the title was finally received and processed — nearly seven weeks after my deposit. Summary • 49 days since deposit • 25 days since vehicle delivery • 7 days since first payment • 0 miles driven • No promised checks or calls received • Dealer unresponsive The dealer has attempted to blame both the DMV and BMW Finance for these delays, but the DMV confirmed they could not act until the dealer submitted the title. For a dealership that advertises “nothing is more important than our reputation for providing superior customer service,” this experience has been unprofessional and unacceptable.

This dealership has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am an active duty service member and was on deployment a week from coming home, and was talking with the sales associate Matia who told me that there were no pending sales or offers on the BMW I wanted. So I told him I wanted to pay in cash via wire transfer that day and I would pick up the car the following saturday when I arrived back in the States. He said the only way they would hold the car is if I financed it through them so he would make a commission on the sale. even though I did not want to finance or run my credit because I offered to pay in full I had them finance the car just so they could hold it for a week while I was coming home from deployment. I received a message from Matia stating good news! you been approved and sent me the banking information to wire them the deposit for the car. Later that night he sent me a message saying do not wire the money yet, there is a deal pending and then they sold they car right from under me after forcing me to finance when I didnt want to and asked me to wire them a depoist. They are very untrustworthy and dont care about their customers or United States Servicemembers.
