We initially visited Hansel to look at the i3. Luis Chinchilla did and excellent job of explaining and demonstrating, but the prices did not work for us. We then asked Luis about the X-1, which also interested us and he again did a fine job of introducing us to the car. We ended up with a certified 2013 X-1 with low miles and a lot of features that were new to us. Kai Fuller was most impressive in introducing us to the extraordinary complexity of the car. I have had two sessions with him to get into greater detail on all of the features. His explanations have been clear and accurate. Our enjoyment of the car have gone up accordingly. We have no experience yet on the service department, but the parts staff have been knowledgeable and helpful as well.

Buying a high end vehicle is usually a pleasant experience, but once you own the car you begin to realize that customer service after the sale is arguably more important. So this weekend I visited BMW of Bakersfield and met the most incredible young woman, Carolyn Cariaga, the Service Representative. It was to take care of a simple problem, but Carolyn went beyond that and made certain that I left with a memory that exceeded the little problem that I had. From the moment I pulled into the service bay I felt like I had met a friend who was willing to explain some things about our new BMW; probably information I should have read, but Carolyn patiently explained anyway. She never lost her smile, and within a few minutes my minor issue was taken care of, much better than I had expected, the vehicle had been washed so well it sparkled and my thoughts about customer service were forever altered. This is service that most dealerships promise, few deliver and BWM of Bakersfield, delivers. I was so touched by the experience that I sought out the General Manager (yes he was working on Saturday too) Alex Karegaran to share with him my experience. He is a gracious man who really cares about his customers, and is proud of those who work for him. I bought my certified pre-owned BMW car from this dealer and it has been OVER 4 months that I have not received spare key for the car or the licence plates. I called up number of times and they keep promising in few weeks but that never happens.
Really BMW? Do I have to follow up so much on such simple stuff? This is surely not the customer service I expected from a BMW dealer!
Also, they were supposed to offer me a tire warranty when i bought the car. That is BMW policy as per another dealer. But they didnt offer any. I tried calling the finance dept to double check that and request more info on it, I left a voice mail and no one has called back till now.
I ended up paying 400$ for changing my car rear tire instead of a 50$ deductible because of their shoddy paper work and screw up.
I am never going to go back to this dealer or recommend anyone to them anymore.
An excellent dealership in my experience - Alpenradder
I've purchased two cars from Steve Thomas and have had the maintenance on the present one done there for the past 3 years. I got an excellent deal on both I couldn't get elsewhere. I got my new 2014 at $300 over cost (I had actual cost provided by Consumer Reports) and saved an additional $1800 by taking delivery at the factory in Munich which was suggested by the internet sales person when he learned I was going to be there in a few months on vacation. The factory delivery program turned out to be an outstanding experience and I highly reccommend it to anyone who can manage the time to go and can tolerate the wait time for delivery to Steve Thomas from Munich. BMW provides European registration, 5 weeks of insurance and delivery back to any dealer at no additional cost.
The service has been easy to arrange, goes quickly with appointments and is done well. The car is always clean when finished and they provide you with a rental, a ride home or very nice treatment if you decide to wait in the lobby.
Despite all the hoorah about Rusnak BMW I had nothing but bad experiences with them after the move to their new facility. They ended up staffed with incompetents. I got a horrible offer on the new car earlier mentioned and, in an earlier experience several years before, had recommended $2400 in repairs to my old Z3 to solve a rumble problem and the car was only worth $5-6000. I consulted an expert mechanic that I knew and four of the five "needed repairs" weren't necessary and would not have solved the problem which turned out to be the exhaust system suspension. I had to pay Rusnak $180 for the useless diagnosis. The mechanic had never even taken the car out for a test drive as part of the diagnosis. Incompetence plain and simple and trying to squeeze me for a wad of money. I had taken the issue to management at Rusnak and never got a response.
Substantiate claim against Century West BMW for poor repairs - M3Coupe08
Went to dealer for letter substantiating claim against Century West, BMW of damage during battery change six weeks earlier, result, flooded battery compartment, shorted electronics. $5,000.00 bill.
Terri Wallace and Shop Foreman, Mike. Terri said she had never heard of BMW, USA ever asking for a
letter from another dealer on a charge back claim. She asked Mike to look at my car. He was very thorough in his inspection, noting that all welds, body panel seals were "factory work," never been
damaged or repaired. Mike said that my complaint was accurate and the flooded battery compartment
was the result of damage caused when Century West changed the battery on November thirtieth, 2015.
He told me he was busy but that he would write the letter requested by BMW, USA and call me when it was ready. I called Terri and Mike several times over nine business days, leaving a message and phone number. None of my calls have been returned, each one went to voice mail, and I have
given up hope that they will ever respond. I also contacted four independent BMW repair shops
and one of them told me that if they wrote a letter criticizing a Dealership, he feared that his parts
supply might be interrupted by BMW, and he refused my request. The other three shops said basically the same thing and all three denied my request for a letter on their letterhead.
When a BMW Dealership won't criticize another BMW Dealership and four independent BMW shops fear retaliation from the Manufacturer would hurt their businesses, I see a problem.
If anyone out there has experienced similar stonewalling, write a review and talk to an attorney!

I just got my second new BMW in 6 months from them. Dolan Hossain and Makayla Mier took great care of me both times!! In November, I replaced my 7 series. They helped me get out of my old one 2 months early and they got me an amazing deal on my new one. There was no bitter haggling. Just a few pleasant phone calls and text messages. I drove up the next day and dropped off the old one and picked up the new one. I had a very nice dinner in Santa Barbara on the way home. I just made a deal with them for a new X5. Dolan and Makayla found me just the car that I wanted from their network and got me out of my old one 5 months early. Again, no unpleasant haggling. Just two phone calls, a few texts, and voila, a great deal on exactly the car that I wanted. This time, they're trucking the new X5 down to me and picking up the old one. I never had to leave my house. I'm a BMW guy and I've had a lot of I've aggressively shopped dealers in the LA area in the past. I've gotten BMWs from dealers all over Southern California. It has been a lot more hassle for inferior results. WOW!! I WOULD GIVE Dolan, Makayla, and Coast BMW 6 STARS IF I COULD!!

The APR rate of a CPO 2013 750LI is 1.99% for 60 months, and that'w what I was told before I submitted my application. My credit is tier 1 credit and I meet all the requirement. After running the credit, Derek from the internet sales informed me that the APR is 2.99% for 60 months and not what they initially told me 1.99%, even thought my credit is a tier 1. I called 2 other dealers and BMW as well and confirmed that the rate in 1.9% for 60 months on tier 1 credit. I was told since they give me a "good deal" on the car, they needed to raise the APR. It's a joke!!!! I tried to contact the GM or the manager in charge and I got no answer back! I wouldn't recommend this dealer as they play games!
