I can't rate Justin Frey as I did not work with him-or at least I don't remember working with him. I worked with Carl the Product & Technology Specialist, Brian Machado and Brian Bladow. The entire experience at Niello Volvo Cars Sacramento was made pleasant only because of the people with whom I worked. Brian Machado, the Sales Advisor, patiently answered my questions and accompanied me on two test drives over two days; the second of which was with a friend. He is a trusted veteran and exceeded my expectations of how an Sales Advisor should act and react. I had not purchased a vehicle since 2005. A lot has changed since then, but calmness, product knowledge, patience and confidence without arrogance, all of which Brian possesses, still go along way today. As for the after-sale, Brian followed up with me as well as very nice and extremely fast in delivering the luggage cover that wasn't in the car when I drove off the lot. Carl (I don't know his last name), the Product and Technology Specialist, initially greeted me once I walked into the dealership and introduced me to Brian Machado. Once I decided on my purchase, Carl made me feel like I was his only customer. He set me up on the Volvo App and guided me through the main features of the vehicle with patience and precision. His knowledge of the vehicles features was impressive. Brian Bladow, the Business Manager, was as nice and knowledgeable as anyone could be. He even patiently waited until I was able to contact my insurance agent and helped me through the process. That in itself was extremely impressive. When I switched from the dealer warranty to the Volvo VIP Platinum warranty and had to resign all of the paperwork a few days later, he was just as cordial. Speaking of the switch to the Volvo Platinum Warranty, Andrew Clark was extremely helpful and accommodating in making the switch to that warranty in Brian Bladow's absence.

I had the most delightful car buying experience EVER and I have purchased quite a few in my days! Alex M. (Sales Representative) , Ryan (finance manager), and Michael (sales manager) are extremely professional, friendly, and customer-centric. Their listed price for the vehicle purchased was accurate, I was not subjected to any of those silly games most dealerships play with hidden fees and unnecessary add ons. I got an amazing deal on a CT4 for a phenomenal value, so much so I drove over 2.5 hours from the Inland Empire just to purchase at Cadillac at Calabasas. The purchasing process was seamless and expeditious, I was in and out in a couple of hours. The dealership is very new, modern, immaculate, and easily accessible, it's right off the freeway. I would definitely trek to do it again if I had to. This is my fourth and I don't anticipate it being my last Cadillac purchase. I will definitely purchase from this dealership again. I don't understand the 2 star review under "What Others Say". I have bought multiple cars from CarMax and they always back up their car sales with excellent service. First, they give you a warranty and a time frame to return. Second, you can buy an EXTENDED warranty. Third, if you have an issue, calling their service department is how you get good customer SERVICE. It's very clearly explained when you buy a car. Still not satisfied? Then stop in and they will address any issue that you have. BTW, they go over all safety issues when you do buy a car. Instead of complaining, the customer should've called CarMax (not the salesperson) or just stopped by. It has always worked for me!

Three weeks ago, I brought my vehicle in for a safety recall update. During the service I was informed my car needed alignment. Since I had just gotten new tires and alignment at a different shop, I declined the $235 fee. I was asked for a rating and I explained to the tech Ivan why I didn’t want to write a review since I was being asked to pay a fee that was not needed. He became defensive stating he is not trying to sell additional services, and said he would have his manager call me. He also stated I should not bring my vehicle back to that dealership. While I sent a few messages asking to speak to higher departments explaining the situation, I didn’t get a response from them, only from Alex. Yesterday after the 4th request to write a review, I finally wrote the review explaining the reason for my rating. Alex Silva emailed me and stated he had decided I couldn’t bring my car there anymore. In the past Alex Silva has been demeaning, disrespectful and insensitive to the needs of my personal situations. He also lied about multiple things, including proving me with a month’s payment for my vehicle when my brand new electric vehicle broke down with a propulsion episode and I was stranded without a vehicle and I had to get a rental that they later reimbursed after a wrote a review through Google. He also stated that I was abusive toward his staff, when everything was only communicated via email. If I had been abusive, there would be footage and there is nothing he can use to prove that. I reached out to the general manager Gregg Johnson and he called back and seemed receptive, he said he would call back today with more information. About an hour ago, he called without a real explanation and said that after some consideration, he and his team have decided that my 3 written reviews were not favorable to their department, he didn’t want me to come to his dealership again. He said he has the right to deny me service and that I need to seek somewhere else to go. He suggested Puente Hills, and said he wasn’t going to argue with me when I was explaining that I bought the vehicle there and I lived it the area. So clearly, you cannot be honest about the reviews here because if not you will be sent to a different location. So the real question is how factual is their rating if they can’t take credit for their faults. Be cautious with Volvo of Ontario, because they’re not who they claim to be, they have zero interest in their client’s opinions, only their ratings matter.

I've been going here for nearly 10 years and the service has gone down the tubes. In short, I had to return 4 times to get a window leak fixed. I was provided no concession and was even incorrectly charged for the service. I had to follow-up 4 times over 2 weeks before someone called me back to address it (when I was told they would get back to me the next day). Just really poor service, expectations, etc. I will never use them again

The entire team I worked with from the sales associate, sales manager, to financing were straightforward and honest. No nonsense, pressure tactics, or ridiculous haggling. There was no window sticker on my car and they refused to provide one when I bought it- illegal. They overcharged me from a price we agreed upon and included things that I made clear I did not want, like a paint protectant. They said they sent a refund to Volvo Financing to address this, but didn’t. I’m still trying to get things straightened out. By far, the most shady and dishonest dealership I have ever dealt with.

I was there for repair service. I was quoted a price that was very high ($900) for the repair (which I know should cost around $600). But I left the car for repair anyway. I was thinking, I probably won't come back again. Upon completion of the car, I was told that the quote was high and there were parts that did not need to replace/repair as originally thought. My cost bill was reduced to a very reasonable cost of $600 without me asking. Or course, the better will be that it was quoted right the first time because it could have driven business away.

Alright, so the service this dealership offers is absolutely unbelievable. From the sales manager, Lance, on down. I’m a small business owner myself, so knowing that customer service means is absolutely everything, I can say without hesitation, that Volvo Cars Carlsbad has been the best car buying experience my wife and I have ever had. Not only did they make the sales process easy and hassle-free, they explained everything to us thoroughly and worked HARD to accommodate our budget and very specific needs. I was shocked that Volvo Financial was able to beat our local credit union’s APR. The financing process was handled smoother and faster than anything I’ve experienced in past with dealerships. Thats a testament to these guys being absolute pros, knowing the system they’re working within, and the contracts they execute. Not only was it a quick experience, but they thoroughly explained every step along the way. We never, even slightly felt like we were being “sold.” The cherry on top of the cake was that they made not one, but two trips to our home when we left things at the dealership. We live in Escondido, so that’s a long trip across the 78 in rush hour traffic. Olin, our sales rep, even showed up with my 4 year old daughter’s favorite stuffy buckled in to the front seat when she left it at the dealership. To this day, she says to me “daddy, do you remember that nice man who sold you your car?” Yep, that means a lot to her and to me. Look, I may have gone into way too much detail with this review, but my experience was truly extraordinary with Volvo Carlsbad. It’s why we went from a Lexus and a Mercedes household to a 2 Volvo household in two weeks time. If you’re looking to buy a Volvo in San Diego or Orange counties, make the trip out to Volvo Carlsbad, you will not be disappointed.
