I have had two very disappointing experiences with Pinegar Honda in Springfield.
First, when I was shopping for a Honda CR-V in 2018, I test-drove a vehicle there and attempted to negotiate the price. Pinegar would not budge at all. I then contacted a Honda dealership in Jefferson City, and they sold me a comparable vehicle for approximately $3,000 less. Because of that experience alone, I decided I would not buy a vehicle from Pinegar Honda.
More recently, I paid about $1,200 to have my vehicle’s air conditioning system repaired. Just 13 months later, the air conditioner has stopped working again. When I contacted the dealership, I was told I would need to bring the vehicle back in and pay another diagnostic fee before they would even look into the issue. After spending that much money on a repair that lasted barely over a year, I found that very frustrating and disappointing.
Based on my experiences, I have lost confidence in both the dealership’s pricing practices and its service department. I will not be purchasing vehicles from Pinegar Honda again, nor will I be returning for future service work. I cannot recommend this dealership.
