I cannot recommend TS&S Ford's service department based - Randy
I cannot recommend TS&S Ford's service department based on my repeated experiences.
The first issue happened after a routine oil change when my truck was returned to me without the oil fill cap installed. That's a basic quality control item that should never be missed.
The next issue involved warranty work. I was told my truck would only need to be at the dealership for 48 hours so the warranty inspector could evaluate it. Instead, it sat there beyond that timeframe with absolutely no communication from the service department. When I simply asked for better communication, Austin in the service department argued with me and told me that keeping customers updated wasn't his responsibility. That's not the level of customer service anyone should expect.
When I dropped my truck off for the warranty work, I also specifically requested that the tires be rotated. When I picked the truck up, I couldn't find anything on the invoice indicating that the rotation had been completed, so I asked Austin. His response was simply, "It should have been." That answer did nothing to reassure me that the work I requested had actually been performed. I shouldn't have to wonder whether basic requested services were completed.
Once the warranty inspection was completed, the inspector approved replacing only the passenger side component. Austin repeatedly insisted they recommended replacing both sides and continued pushing that option three separate times, making it sound like replacing only the approved side wasn't even possible. Only after I directly asked again did he admit they would replace just the passenger side, while warning I'd continue having the same issues. It felt more like a sales conversation than a service conversation.
The final straw was when I picked up my truck after the warranty work. The steering wheel was noticeably cocked to the right while the truck drifted left. The very next morning I had to pay another shop to inspect and align it properly because it was obvious something wasn't right.
TS&S told me they had no post-alignment printout from the alignment they supposedly performed. The second shop's alignment report showed the truck arrived with the front toe settings significantly out of specification and the steering wheel off-center. After a proper alignment, every adjustable front alignment measurement was brought back into specification and the steering wheel was centered. I had to spend another $120 out of my own pocket to correct work that should have been done correctly before the truck was returned to me.
The overall experience has been one of poor workmanship, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability. From returning my truck without an oil cap, to failing to communicate about warranty work, to uncertainty over whether requested services were even performed, and finally returning my truck with an improperly completed alignment, I've completely lost confidence in TS&S Ford's service department.
I won't be returning, and I would encourage anyone considering having their vehicle serviced here to think twice. There are shops in Central Oregon that take far greater pride in their work and communicate with their customers professionally.
