I have purchased 3 automobiles from Rusty Wallace, and several members of my family have purchase from there over the years as well.
On my 3rd (and what will be my last purchase from this dealer) I still can not account for $1000 on the "out the door" price verbally given to me verses the actual price I paid on the sales invoice.
Only 10 days after the dealership got their check, the AC compressor went out. I understand that I purchased a used car, and was not looking for a free repair, but they wouldn't even return my call to talk about what had happened. I left several messages, and even ask their service department (who charged me $150 just to tell me it was the AC compressor) to have the sales manager to please call me.
My SUV also ended up having issues with the headlights (wiring) which the mechanic that repaired them said should have been noticed by the dealer during an inspection.
The salesperson told me that the car had "brand new brakes" but I ended up replacing all of them.
I was also told the front axels were replaced when I purchased this SUV. Found out later from my mechani that was was ANOTHER lie told to me by the unprofessional sales manager at Rusty Wallace!! I have spent thousands in repairs on this lemon!
When I finally heard from the sales manager who called to talk to me rudely because I left him a bad review, he laughed at me when I told him all the troubles with my car and how I'd had no service after the sale. He told me "that's what you get when you buy a car that old" Nice attitude!
My 3rd purchase from this dealer will be my last purchase here!

I started having problems with my car on a Monday. I called this dealership for 3 days and left multiple messages with multiple people about bringing it in the get fixed. No one ever answered the phone in the service department and no one ever returned my calls. I finally just came in Thursday and talked to Danny Butler, a service consultant who seemed not to care. I finally spoke to Bob, their service manager who seemed to care and made me feel like he was going to help me. I left my car, and they tested it and found out my alternator was out. They told me they would call me the next day. Someone called me Friday evening and told me the car was fixed, and that they wanted to keep it over night just to test it in the morning. I called 4 times the next day, again with no answer and no return call. I just came in to the dealership around 1:30 Saturday afternoon and the same man, Danny was just sitting at his desk with his hands folded. I explained to him the situation and he seemed as if I was causing him problems. He told me he had no idea what was going on and he had nonpaperwork stating what they did to my vehicle and it was going to take him until 3:00 to find anything out- and possibly not till the next day. I told him that was unacceptable, seeing how they told me last night my car was fixed, and I saw it sitting out on the lot. I attempted to call bob, the manager multiple times and he never answered or called me back. I had to find another manager on the sales said of the store to get anything resolved. When he came and spoke to Danny, I could tell he was upset. He took his precious time doing my paperwork and I felt like it was in purpose. Everyone here made me feel like I was the problem when I just wanted my car. I will never bring my car for service here and I will never buy anther Kia here. These people have bad attitutes about their jobs and are very rude and unprofessional.

This review is for the SERVICE DEPARTMENT (I had no issues with the initial purchase of my car). I brought my car in for a Kia recall due to a possible fire hazard, the service was SCHEDULED on 4/28/2021, to bring the car in for the service on 5/5/2021. Upon calling, I advised I would like to have the recall taken care of along with getting a oil change, I spoke with a lady who advised that would be great, and giving a week notice will give them plenty of time to get the needed parts in for the recall. I took my car in for service on 5/5/2021 around 8:40am for a 9:00am appointment, spoke with Michael Falkner, advised I was there for the oil change and recall, he said no problem, asked if I was going to wait for the vehicle or drop off, advised I would be dropping off as I had read online the recall took a few hours to fix. Michael advised he would call me when the vehicle was ready. I received a phone call from Michael at 10:35am advising me that my vehicle was ready, and they “unfortunately could not fix the recall because the part is on a national backorder”. I was rather confused by this, as to why I was not told this while making the appointment, and was assured with me scheduling early would give plenty of time for the part to arrive. Also why was I not called to advise the part had not arrived, so I could have saved myself a nearly 2hr drive from Honaker VA, for a simple oil change, I could have used a local garage. Upon entering to retrieve my car, Michael said how am I doing, I advised I was rather pi$$ed off due to the recall not being fixed, he said “oh sorry, let me walk you over to pay for the oil change”. I paid the over $60.00 for the oil change, and on the receipt there is a message that “if you are not totally satisfied with service, call the manager Carl Stewart” which I did. I spoke to Carl at 11:32am, to which he explained the issue with the “national backorder” on the part, and advised that I should have been called to be advised that the part was not there. Carl assured me he was going to do some homework on this, and asked my permission for a call back in 20-30 minutes, to which I agreed. This was on 5/5/21 at 11:32 am, today is 5/10/2021 at 8:47am, and I am still awaiting that phone call. Very disappointed in the service I have received from Grindstaff Kia and the lies spewed by the service department. I would advised to look elsewhere for your vehicle needs, as it seems there is only good service when the buying process is happening.
