Best and Easiest Car Buying Experience Ever - brookev81
We felt very welcome from the minute I called to schedule an appointment until the time we left. Mark made the whole experience for us quick and easy. The truck was ready for us when we got there with the air conditioning running. We didn't feel any pressure at all and felt great when we walked out the door.

Buying my first brand new car - Jaymemarieg
Spencer, Shon, and Tim made this the absolute best experience and I’d recommend them to anyone needing a reliable vehicle! Spencer reached out to me on social media and kept helping me until we found the vehicle that was the best fit for my daughter and I.

Awesome Service, shipper prices and fees! - Rosario & Rogger
My husband and I were visiting a lot of places, and we didn' t find anything better than McGrath.
The name of our salesman is Benjamin Holdiman, an extraordinarily friendly person, he knows his work very well, he is an excellent salesman and he adjusted to our visiting hours. We put our expectations and Ben found for us, what we were looking for, and he adjusted to our budget. They have the best brands on the market. We bought a Ford Focus and a Ford Scape. The procedure was very fast, we found used cars with very few miles, cars look so fabulous on the inside and outside; that our neighbors can't believe they're used. All of McGrath's staff who cared for us was super-friendly and flexible with our needs. McGrath's cars are at a much better price than if you're looking for them on-line. I would highly recommend this place if you are thinking in a new or used car. You will be happy surprised with the prices!!!
Super expert service. - Les
The service advisors are very friendly and do a good job of keeping me informed as to the repairs being performed. It was easy to get a service date scheduled. The service manger, Gary Roll, runs a quality department and really tries to satisfy the customer. I highly recommend the service department to any one.
Glenn is honest and caring! - Karin Hanson
The dealership was clean, organized, straight forward, and Glenn got to the heart of what I wanted and needed right away. No gimmicks or trying to sell me stuff I couldn't afford or didnt want. I was comfortable and satisfied.
Friendly people, great service - scotnkiz
We just had the best experience purchasing a new pickup from Deter Motors. Everyone from Chaz Terry to Kate Hepler were great. It was actually fun. You can't say that very often about a vehicle buying experience.
Very pleased. - Ibuick
I was very pleased and always have been with their service. I recently had an upgrade installed to correlate with Android Auto and they were so very proficient and explained the workings to me after it was installed. I really like it. They are tops for service and courtesy.

Friendly, Helpful, small-town feel - father2swim
I bought a new Prius in 2012. I've come here for nearly all my services. Not once have I had a bad experience or have been disappointed. A "triple A" rating to our salesman Al Hunter for his knowledge and patience with the sale. He helped us explore many options until we found the best that worked for us. Al referred us to others who have purchased the same car, so we "didn't have to take his word for it". And worked for the best price for us. Compared to purchases from other dealers this was a very pleasant...even great experience.
Making an appointment with service department is easy and done within a day. They accommodate needs by giving a loaner. They explain everything that was done and willing to answer questions. There were times when they could help me troubleshoot over the phone and I did not need to make the trip in. First class.
Highly recommend anyone in the area looking for Toyota or wanting a small-town family feel to check out Motor Inn
Not pushy & great service even after the sale - Lytishya
I purchased a vehicle from here when I had been in the market for a several months . This was the only dealership I visited where I did not feel pressured by the sales people or the management. If they had a vehicle for me then great and if they didn’t have the right one then that was OK toI. I picked up an extremely clear in vehicle with a great vehicle history report . Unfortunately after I purchased the vehicle several things came up and I had to have it in for service three times in the first 30 days . Each time all of their staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. I was very relieved that we chose to purchase from right now because I do not believe other local dealerships would have handled the repairs as well as a did. I would highly recommend right out to anyone looking for an honest dealer .
Great experience! - Jess&Dan
We came looking to buy a new Ford Escape, and ended up purchasing a great, slightly used, Escape with a ton more features. Being able to walk the lot checking out vehicles without getting hassled was a pleasant change. Our experience with the test drive and purchasing paperwork was really easy and fast. Rick was great to work with, he made sure we were fully informed with the vehicle we are purchasing.

Excellent car buying experience!! - Denise in Illinois
I found my certified pre-owned Ford Edge on Ford's website, which led me to Lynch Ford. My first interaction was w/Greg Shafer, the Internet Sales Manager at Lynch. He was helpful and provided great assistance. Upon arriving at the dealership, we were introduced to James Teal our Sales Consultant. Just like Greg, James was very professional and helpful. As we completed the purchase, we met Business Manager Jason Lester. Jason did a great job reviewed the paperwork and made the conclusion of the purchase smooth - and enjoyable. I love the car, and had a great purchase experience. Thank you!! Denise
Quick and easy - Kel

Lie to get business and Pushy/Arrogant - Zabu77
When ever you purchase a vehicle you need to shop around. This dealership will make rude comments and lie to you to get business. Salesman Jonathon Gunderson lied about payoff for my vehicle and lied about getting a 3 percent better interest rate, to which my girlfriend asked him what it's was now and he stumbled and said "oh I don't have the exact number but it's going to be like 3 percent better". She responded by saying she appreciated that..the interest rate never changed. The Jonathon used tactics to try and keep you from shopping around with other dealerships. He talked about charging us for getting a vehicle in the color she wanted to their dealership..to which I stated we would just go to that dealership..but low and behold they had her car color there on the lot. Then he wanted to charge for switching tires over to her new car. When we needed the VIN # for insurance we could not get a return call, and they stated they will take care of it. For a whole day no one called back with the VIN #..and lastly Jonathon Gunderson got rude when we didn't come in on the day they wanted to sign paperwork..had I been on that call and heard what was said to my girlfriend on that call personally I would of stormed down there and made a scene! Straight up rude salesmen and lies along with pushyness..funny how Jonathon Gunserson after being rude and lied didn't come back out of his office the day we picked up the car..he stayed away for a reason
AWESOME EXPERIENCE!! - kyle bickford
Shane was great through the whole process made sure we got a car that we loved!!

They were extremely busy but found the right vehicle for me. - chiefsfan
Overall everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable about their vehicles and how to sell them. Very nice and up-to-date on all their facts. The test drive clinched it for me.
Chevy Colorado - hckuhse

Glad I ended up buying elsewhere. - rrmccabe
Thanks Doug DeYarman, Managing Partner for reminding me there are other places to leave reviews.
Went to Shottenkirk to test drive a Chevrolet High Country. Tiffany (sales person) knew I was on my way but when I arrived she could not be found. I tried to call her and no answer. One of her sales associates (Derek) tried to text her and no response. So I stand outside waiting for 20 minutes and when she finally shows up she wants me to come in and sign papers before I test drive a used vehicle "because that is Shottenkirks policy". I immediately left without a test drive. I bought a 2017 High Country from Karl Chevrolet. Thank you Kyle Kocak for not making me feel like a criminal and your polite service and great pricing.
For those that don't know, Karl is the #1 certified preowned dealer in the US, 10 years running. This means they have exceptional vehicles on the lot.
By the way at Karl, the doors are unlocked, keys in the vehicles and the salesman was quick to say would you like to take it for a drive. Thank you Kyle !
Pissed. - 1
I brought my off-brand vehicle into Bob Brown service due to the readily accessibility of their location to my job. I had seen their commercials and they seemed worth a try, plus, as a vet, I knew they were vet friendly-which is nice.
Calling ahead (en route) and scheduling a service appointment (same day) was surprisingly easy (thanks...Mindy?) The vehicle was diagnosed quickly, and I was able to make a future repair appointment for the following week.
Fast forward to yesterday (Friday).
The vehicle was dropped off at the early A.M appointment time for repair; and was told it would only take a few hours. Around 3pm, I began to call the dealership to check on the status of the repair. My service rep Todd was nowhere to be found. This was the case for the multiple calls I made during the afternoon and evening. I never received a call, email, or text back.
6pm closing time came and went, all the while my calls went unanswered. Still not one bit of communication since drop off.
I walked from work, flagged down the last employee of the day whom just happened to be able to get my completed vehicle, took payment, and had me stranded no more.
I was having mixed emotions about the dealership after that experience, after all, I was stranded and pissed.
Joe, a Military Police war veteran and supervisor, made my less-than-stellar experience and turned it into a 5 star event. He stayed almost an hour after close making sure that the last customer of the day was taken care of before the last person left the dealership. This amount of integrity, dedication to duty, selfless service, and basic decent respect he showed said volumes about this dealership. Joe made sure I was comfortable inside from the sweltering heat, and during the entire ordeal, he had nothing less than a sincere smile on his face. On his personal Friday night after close on his way home, he willingly took a pissed off customer and took his personal time to reopen the service center just to get me taken care of.
Due to Joe, I will be happy to return to Bob Brown Chevrolet for my service work. I even receive a better experience than at my actual brand dealership.
The price was extremely reasonable and just so happeened to be better than the competiton.
The quality of work turned out to be great. My vehicle drives like butter and better than before.
Lastly, the showroom and service center looks like it just got converted from a NASA sterile clean room. But that was ok! It was professional and relax.
Would Recommend. Thank you Joe!
Joe Bockert - Steve821
Joe did a great job meeting our needs for a new vehicle. We went there for a used truck & Joe worked it out so we ended up with a new truck & saved a TON of money !!!
Totally mislead - Randy
I have bought several vehicles from Karl, new and used. I have a guideline when I buy a used vehicle. #1 local trade only
#2 never buy one that was bought at an auction
#3 never been wrecked
Well guess what, I was told this vehicle wasnt an auction vehicle and that it was a local trade. This truck had been on the lot for 5+ months. I didn't understand why. My salesman said I don't know why it has been here so long either.....B.S. Well when I received the title in the mail it was from a lease company that the lease was turned in and Karl cheverolet bought it at the auction. It was from Michigan. So..... not a local trade and it was an auction car. Now I see why it was on the lot so long.I called Karl cheverolet up and had a discussion with them about what I was told and the truth of the vehicle came out when I received the title. They said I could trade it back in for another vehicle, they were going to give me $3000,00 less than what I bought it for 3weeks earlier and I only put 1200 miles on it. I guess Karl cheverolet is becoming just like any other car dealer. No matter how many vehicles you buy from them they will do whatever they can to unload an unwanted vehicle on a many time repeat buyer. Karl Moyer, I am amazed at how I was treated and such a misleading deal that Was made to get old inventory sold. I sure wish you would read these reviews, maybe you would sell more cars when you correct these type of sale antics.
Drove 150 miles to make a good deal - Bob R.
I drove from Ankeny because Molstead had the exact Jeep I wanted. I worked with Kelly Molstead via email on the deal for the Jeep and my trade in. When I arrived at the dealership, the Jeep was exactly as represented and the process of purchase was a smooth experience. All the numbers were just as agreed on through email. Salesman Bruce Boerschel completed the transaction with us and was very thorough in sharing the highlights of the Jeep we purchased. The finance person (sorry, I do not remember his name) was friendly and thorough, and did not try to pressure us into add on sales. Overall this was a great experience.
O After the sale: "What's your name again?" - csharpe123
I found the vehicle I was looking for here; and the salesman was nice and low key until the finalization.
Sales manager and finance guy told me that I since I had my Credit Union financing the sale, I had to write them a personal check once the CU put the funds into my account.
I thought this odd. They sent me home in my trade in to get a personal check! Fortunately I called my bank about halfway home and they clarified that the money would never touch my hands; and I returned and drove my car home.
I called a couple of days later to verify that they received the funds, and there was no "how do you like you vehicle" or any courtesy follow up about my satisfactions with my experience there. Indeed the sales manager who sent me on a wild goose chase for the personal check had trouble even remembering who I was. I got a decent deal. But the shenanigans with the financing and sending me off in my trade in on a sixty mile round trip was shady. And the lack of follow through guaranteed that I wouldn't recommend them.
Transmission broke after 10 miles - Renopreacher
I test drove 3 vehicles, the first one had a bad motor,(making a lot of noise and the check engine light came on). The second had a bad power steering pump. I bought the third unfortunately and ended up losing the transmission. They will not help or refund me any amount. I recommend you never buy a used car from here, they sell junk, and know it. They refuse to take any responsibility and hide behind there as is no warranty policy. Repairs are going to cost me more than the price of the car, and that's on top of my tow bill.
Never buy a car from Bob Brown - hall4jrs
I will never buy a car from Bob Brown again. I purchased a used car in November and heard a noise in the steering wheel ( heard the noise when I was testing driving it). I was told that it would be fixed before I picked it up. So the next night when I went to pick it up I heard the noise again and called my sales guy right away and told him and he said to make an appoint with the service guys and they can look at it again. The day I took it up there the noise was not there and so they couldn't fix it. So it went a few day and then I started hearing the noise again and again. So at my oil change they told me I need new filter(which made me upset and they gave me a credit) and that my power steering was leaking and that could be what causing that noise and to make an appointment up at the service area. So I did and it wasn't a power steering leak it was a gear and going to cost me 1200.00. So I spoke to the manager and he said he would pay half. I said that is not right as I heard this noise when I first test drove and bought the car and it should of been fixed then. So I wrote a review out here. The sales manager wasn't happy with me so he bullied me and said "that if I didn't take the review down they would not fix my car for free." So I took the review down and they fixed it for what I thought was no charge, but instead come to find out when I went to my next oil change that they had used my credit from the filter towards that job. To me they didn't fix it for free. Also the car when you stepped on the gas was hesitating and giving you a slight whiplash a lot but not every time so when I took it in they could never find what was going on cause it would never do it for them. I will never buy from Bob Brown again, for the way I was treated I have taken my business somewhere else and gotten rid of that car. I want to let everyone know so if you have been treated like this please share as that should never be how you treat a customer. Thanks and have a wonderful day. I gave a 4 star below as the problem did get fixed so the quality of work was good.
