At issue, ford Transit cargo van in which we have had to - M.birky
At issue, ford Transit cargo van in which we have had to the dealer no less than 10 times for oil change, tire rotation, starting at 49,000 miles after purchasing from enterprise rental.
While the dealership and service department we ready to recommend service items, NOT ONCE,even after the 100K mileage and the 130K, 150K mileage service recommend a transmission flush-fluid. Instead, we were told by service that 150K-200K is the best. Well, at 167K miles, the transmission is having a hard time getting into 3 gear. Scheduled an appointment for inspection and such. It took 9 days for the inspection once in the dealership facility. Now the problem is compounded by which the sub frame had to be removed, transmission pan and filter inspected. Report; some metal shavings- new transmission-$12,000.00. Warranty, 12 months, 12,000 miles only. Declined repairs, had to pay 2100.00 for the inspection. Now once thee vehicle was driven back to my businss <3 miles, the check engine light comes on. Now there are issues with th O2 sensor by thee cat converter. Fortunately
found an independent auto place, for 3K cheaper, new transmission with 3 yr 100,00 mile warranty.
I will NEVER trust them to service any vehicles of mine again.
