I purchased a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox LT FWD with 1.5 liter engine, lane keeping assistance, navigation, adaptive cruise control, front bucket seats, emergency/automatic braking, cross traffic alert, CVT & a lot of other modern features from Castriota Chevrolet of Hudson, FL.
I have purchased over 15 new cars/trucks/SUVs in the last 60 years (yeah I’m old) and feel this experience was the best because of their friendly professional staff, huge selection, and competitive pricing.
I began my search by looking for the model I wanted locally online and comparing pricing. After I visited a couple of dealerships I found two Equinoxes that I liked and I requested an out-the-door (OTD) quote from several of these dealers.
I settled on Castriota Chevrolet based on their selection and pricing. They are a large volume family-owned dealership so they offer better pricing than their corporate competitors.
From this and past experiences I find it’s better to shop at a family-owned dealership vs. the corporate ones that refuse to negotiate.
My first interaction was with Kenny Enox, my salesman to request an OTD quote. His sales manager, Terry Bedard provided the OTD quote as requested within a couple hours. Since it was the best offer that I received, I decided to buy it from them.
When I showed up I received the exact vehicle & exact price that I was quoted by Terry. No tricks.
Also, they gave me the best price for my trade in.
Kenny provided me with a test drive, helped with the initial paperwork, & provided a thorough introduction to my new Equinox with a lot of modern features. Kenny took about a two hours to introduce my wife & I to all the features, especially syncing the phone. Kenny walking us thru all the electronics.
Joe from their business office prepared and finalized all the paperwork and discussed the additional extended warranties available. No high pressure, arm twisting like I’ve experienced at other dealers.
Castriota Chevrolet of Hudson has been selling Chevrolets since 1979 and based on my current and past experiences with them I can see why they have an outstanding reputation of providing a friendly, honest sales buying experience. No pressure. No old school tricks. No gimmicks. No foolish “market” adjustments.
This is probably the last vehicle that I will buy since I’m 87, but I will buy another vehicle from them again if I need to.
