My wife and I bought a 2012 certified pre-owned sonata from Universal Hyundai. The salesman (Alex) and the manager (Jacob) told us that the car had never been in an accident and that it would not qualify for the certified pre-owned program if it had been. Two months later we took the car to a different Hyundai dealer for service and they informed us that the car had been in a collision. The mechanic said that there is no way that the car could have gone through the certification process and the fact that it had been in an accident go unnoticed. I checked the vehicle history report and sure enough it had been in an accident 3 months before we bought it. I called Universal Hyundai and explained the situation and they said to come in and they would fix it. When we arrived they put us with a salesman and had us pick out a different car. Then they offered us $4000.00 less than what we paid for the car as a trade in. They said they were not under any legal obligation to do anything to correct this situation. I would not buy from here. There are other Hyundai dealers in the area like Orlando, Holler and HQ. They knew the car had been wrecked and represented that it had not, then they tried to make more money by selling us different car that was 1 year older and $2000 more and then offered us $4000 less than what we paid for the car we bought from them only 2 months prior.
