Extremely poor experience at Huntington Beach Mazda in - SSinHB

Extremely poor experience at Huntington Beach Mazda in regards to finalizing pricing terms on a new CX-50 that I had serious interest in purchasing. While the sales team of Eric, Vu, and George were amazing to work with on test drives, etc., the sales/floor manager, the finance manager, the dealer ownership and ultimately Mazda Corporate were deceitfully on pricing terms, lied to me and then showed zero serious interest in making it right to close a deal. I strongly recommend all car buying consumers to avoid this Mazda Patterson dealership and the Mazda brand in general and consider purchasing a Honda or Toyota in the same car class that interests you.

Oops, I did it again! - kristigeneral

Oops, I did it again! This is my fourth time as a returning customer. If I didn't make it clear last time: each experience somehow manages to get better and better. At this point, I literally feel like part of the CarMax family the second I walk through the door. I will never, ever go anywhere else! 🚙✨

Victory Mazda turned a disappointing experience into a - waynerobin

Victory Mazda turned a disappointing experience into a truly positive one. After some initial inconvenience, their team took ownership, listened, and made things right for my family. I really appreciate the professionalism, follow-through, and genuine commitment to customer care. They went above and beyond to earn back our trust, and I would recommend Victory Mazda to anyone looking for a dealership that stands behind its customers.

I had a fantastic car buying experience working with - recra7406

I had a fantastic car buying experience working with Asia Beck. The entire process was incredibly smooth and painless from start to finish. For the first time ever, I walked out of a dealership feeling completely comfortable and confident that I got a fair deal without any hidden tricks.I truly appreciate her honesty, patience, and transparency..I felt respected and completely comfortable with the pricing. There were no high-pressure tactics or unexpected surprises. I will absolutely recommend her to anyone I know looking for a vehicle.

I have purchased three personal vehicles from STAR Mazda - Dr. Walter

I have purchased three personal vehicles from STAR Mazda in the last 15 years(good experience, obviously)**** 4 stars I have had various service experiences, during that time. Most recently Nathon has been good. Service costs foolish!!!! Service this last year (I have photo shots of offers)a study in bait and switch. I make an appointment in writing for a service at one price. I set appointment. I get confirmation a day or two later at a more expensive price. Same service $$$ more in writing---STAR LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER--service manager , with whom I spoke, following company line, so can't really blame him-------------rating for service ** 2 stars--- the are two Mazda dealers nearby who are more consistent in pricing and consistency---Star lost a long time customer---

My son bought a 2024 Mazda 3 hatchback today. - Connie

My son bought a 2024 Mazda 3 hatchback today. I went with him for moral support. Juan was our salesman, Semaj was the manager. They tag teamed together to keep us busy. Both were very nice, but played the game like most car salesmen. Jose was the finance manager who Semaj kept going back to so we could get "a better deal" While we were happy with the end result, knowing we had to keep on our toes or get screwed is stressful. How did we know they (Mazda dealership) was pulling a fast one? They tried to throw in a "covid fee" xxx!? Apparently since covid new cars are hard to get, so they try to charge a "covid fee"! There was a brand new Mazda 3 sitting right there! We weren't stupid enough to get vaccinated or wear a mask, we sure aren't going to pay a fee! It was waived. I looked all through the paperwork to make sure it wasn't hidden somewhere else. In the end, my son got the deal he wanted and walked away happy. we recommend this dealership and Juan, Semaj and Jose, just do your research and watch out for unnecessary fees.

This review is overdue. - ROGERANDLACY

This review is overdue. I've purchased 2 cars from Spreen Mazda. A Mazda 6 in 2021 and a Mazda 3 in 2023. The Mazda 6 transaction was the easiest car buying experience I've ever had, and I've purchased a lot of cars. The Mazda 3 purchase took a bit longer because the car wasn't at the dealership when we purchased it. But Jimmy did a great job at problem solving. Stephanie, Ezekiel, Jimmy - Everyone was really great to work with. Also Bill in the service department is fantastic. Great service overall! In the future, if we decide to buy a Mazda again, we will come to Spreen Mazda!

Service was fantastic. - chris

Service was fantastic. Jason helped me with everything, was very knowledgeable, and gave great advice for my car care. Will return and work with Jason for all my car servicing and maintenance.

Honest and true to their word. - MsManners

Honest and true to their word. Never once did I feel like I was being misled or cheated. They thoughtfully explained each step of the process and honored the quotes they shared with me over the phone.

*DO NOT SHOP - WARNING* *DATA THEFT, RISK OF PERSONAL - seer-modest5r

*DO NOT SHOP - WARNING* *DATA THEFT, RISK OF PERSONAL SAFETY, HARASSMENT* I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a dealership at Diamond Mazda. I texted the dealership that I will not be able to come in, post a phone call in the morning. I received a message saying they are willing to do an offsite test drive for me. I reached the location the next day, and no one showed up there. I then realized it was a BOT who arranged this meet up. AN AI who asked for ALL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION AND DATA PRETENDING TO BE HUMAN. Mind you I did not ask for this test drive, it was OFFERED TO ME. What is worse is Diamond Mazda had no idea about this, no human oversight of the AI and has no controls over these bots. I had to call them to inform and they proceeded to gaslight me. BEWARE before interacting with them and sharing your data while buying a car. I am absolutely shocked and scared that Diamond Mazda has no oversight on powerful tools such as AI and lets it run wild, ENDANGERING REAL human life. When I tried to complain, Marco the salesman refused to share number of the GM claiming he did not have such information...(ridiculous) and proceeded to harass me further, leaving me feeling unsafe and distressed in a location that the BOT made me come to. I have now filed complaints with govt authorities. I leave this as a CAUTION to anyone who is interested, Mazda has several dealerships, this one is NOT the one u should go to. There is a reason why their rating is so low - full of misrepresentation and malpractice of business.

Don't go to Dublin Mazda, avoid it at all costs! - Tatha K

Don't go to Dublin Mazda, avoid it at all costs! They are unprofessional and don't respect their clients. I bought a 2019 Honda civic sport hatchback from Dublin Mazda in November. I had a pre-purchase inspection done on the car but nothing wrong was reported at the time. In December I went to a Honda dealership for accessories. They pointed out that the car is missing its front bumper grille from its splash shield, exposing the internal components. Salesman Keith Morita did not mention the issue at the time of purchase. Photos Keith Morita took of the car prove that the grille was missing at the time of purchase. I notified Keith Morita about the issue. He denied knowing anything about it and said someone from the service department is going to reach out to me. No one did. He did not offer me any solutions and it became very hard to reach him despite calling him numerous times. Dublin Mazda went silent and I was worried about further damage/rusting of internal components. Since I was on the road, I had to get the car fixed at a Honda dealership in early January amid this uncertainty. I then emailed the grille hardware cost and labor charges with receipts (more than $1k) to Keith Morita. Keith Morita told me, the manager will reach out. After trying more than fifteen times for several weeks and receiving false hopes, I was finally able to speak to manager Keith (his name is also Keith). He told me I should not have had the car fixed. Manager Keith also emphatically said Keith Morita had asked me to bring the car to Dublin Mazda and they could have gotten it fixed. This is not true. They could have checked call recordings (they monitor calls) and messages between Keith Morita and me to see that Keith Morita did not offer me any solutions. In the end, manager Keith told me they could do nothing about the issue. I hoped to be treated fairly and transparently for someone buying a car for more than $20k. I have been more than accommodating regarding this issue at every step. But the evasive behavior and gaslighting on Dublin Mazda's part have been very unreasonable. It's very clear that they don't respect their customers. I would recommend other buyers to go somewhere where they will be valued.

I came into the dealer Friday, October 18th with my - N74B66TU2

I came into the dealer Friday, October 18th with my brother to look at the Mach-e and Lightning. My overall experience was great. I was greeted by a Salesperson name Oscar who was extremely polite, professional, and listened to all my needs. From the beginning, I explained my brother and I had credit challenges, both due to identity theft and divorce. After test driving the Mach-e, we were presented with the payment based on down and mileage. Both were exceptionally reasonable, and we wanted to continue with the purchase. After the credit was pulled, the manager asked for a co-signer which we knew could be an option. My issue is with the manager. A lecture shortly ensued that we should “Crawl before we Walk”. I took offense to that due to the fact my brother currently drives a Maserati Quattroporte with a 561 payment, I currently drive a i4 with a 997 payment and a 760i with a 1,888 payment. The 550 payment on the Mach-e was less than the cars we were replacing, which those loans/leases are in good standing. The finances are there and it’s clear we can make our payments, yet I felt we were being judged due to the credit alone. I understand it was less than stellar however identity theft was not our fault. If the bigger picture was looked at, the manager would have seen there were multiple paid off cars and other accounts in good standing. We were also told to get a “xxxxty car” and drive that sucker for a year to build positive payments despite already having car credit. The manager preceded to say he understood we were used to the image the Maserati had however we needed to humble ourselves. I told him it had nothing to do with image or else we wouldn’t be sitting in a Ford dealer looking at a subpar electric vehicle. In my opinion, that was crawling before walking especially with the payment being cheaper than the cars we currently had. We explained a xxxxty car didn’t fit our lifestyle as we put 300 plus miles a day on a car and need it to carry equipment for our catering business and telescopes for my astrophysics research. It seemed once the credit was pulled, everyone demeanor changed. We also explained the Maserati no longer served a purpose for the phase of life we were in. We both left the dealer feeling humiliated and embarrassed. Just to recap, Oscar was amazing. My issue is being put down by the managers while going through a life changing event. We were able to secure a Audi e-tron from Lexus Santa Barbara and appreciate them being professional, courteous, and understanding.

Ulysses Gaytan was the worst service advisor Ive ever - Ichichung10

Ulysses Gaytan was the worst service advisor Ive ever been served with. On Dec, 12, 2025 I went to this dealership for 5k maintenance service. And paid $1600 for the whole repairment. 2 weeks later, the check engine light was on, so I ad to drive back this past Monday. Ulysses does nothing but only taking photos of the vehicle, and didn't even estimate how much will it cost for theservice, instead keep saying it won't be charge so far. Once the vehicle was ready he said that he will have to charge us for the gas cap loosen, originally $225, but he discounted to $150. I asked why. He said it's not someting they did while the repairment, but it's we did something that caused the light on. Until I asked him to get me the supervisor for a better clarification then he discharged the service. I hope the dealer take serious action and look into this occasion deeper, due to his serving attitude was completely ridiculous and unprofessional.

Second and last time I go to this dealer. - Ken

Second and last time I go to this dealer. I bought a 2022 Dodge, but not from them so maybe that's why they acted this way but I have a feeling it's their standard operating behavior. First visit was to get a key FOB programmed for the new truck. First thing out of Jonny's mouth was, well it's about lunchtime so,.... I asked to see an IT or technical person and without asking why I came in, Jonny said you need an appointment. I set that appointment up for today. I came in and went to Jonny who told me that he moved my appointment to another clerk, who was clueless why I was transferred to her from the clerk who setup my appointment. I went to this other clerk who couldn't find my info because Jonny took my initial info. She agreed to assist me (although she too was ready to head to lunch, apparently a huge deal at this dealership) and asked why I was there. I said Jonny didn't bother to ask or document why I came in initially. I then told her I would like to get my new FOB programmed to the new truck. She proceeded to tell me that it would cost me $200 to program a $57 FOB. I declined that ridiculous charge and then asked about a repair to the front bumper skirt that had come apart at one place. She told me that would cost $200 (1 hour labor) and when I asked how they would fix it, she told me they TY Wrap the shirt to the bumper, for $200. TY Wraps last? It's apparent these knuckleheads just want to rest, pass the buck, and go to lunch. Never going back there. I would rate Johnny but I don't see him below. Might be a sign...

I've been going here for nearly 10 years and the service - gfalvo3

I've been going here for nearly 10 years and the service has gone down the tubes. In short, I had to return 4 times to get a window leak fixed. I was provided no concession and was even incorrectly charged for the service. I had to follow-up 4 times over 2 weeks before someone called me back to address it (when I was told they would get back to me the next day). Just really poor service, expectations, etc. I will never use them again

First real car purchase for my daughter couldn't have - easyejm

First real car purchase for my daughter couldn't have been better. Our salesguy, Moe was very friendly and seemed to know what we were going to ask before we asked the questions. Our financing rate came back a little higher than I would have liked and the finance guy Christian, worked very hard to find a lender with better rates. Could not be happier with our new Mazda and would definitely recommend this team.

Originally I wanted to buy out my lease as my lease is up - fridab

Originally I wanted to buy out my lease as my lease is up in a couple of weeks. No matter how many times I asked, they would not give me the buy out price of the car, instead they rushed me to sign to finance the car through them and would not give me a break down of supposed fees. My original contract said I would owe about 13,000 (not including fees) after the lease was up. Somehow the amount I would have paid went from 13,000 to 17000, to 22,000 to 28,000!!! They wanted me to pay more than double what my car was originally worth (my car is in great condition and has very little miles for it being 3 years old. I even asked how it got that high since my end of lease said I’d only owe 13,000 plus taxes and fees which should only be a couple thousand more. Financing never gave me a straight answer, just kept saying oh it’s fees but they never showed me a breakdown or anything. I told them I wanted to check with my bank first and they kept telling me I wasn’t going to find a better deal. They also said they had to keep my car to pre certify it and I asked them if that would cost me anything. They said no (apparently it costs them money to do this but I didn’t know this). I asked the finance guy Benito that this wasn’t something I had to go forward with yet right? That I can look around still and he said I could, just to give them a call if I go with their financing. They only gave me one paper to take to the bank that had the total of what the car would be after fees and the interest. The bank lady said the price they want for the car that is in good condition and under miles seems incredibly shady and that they should of given me more paperwork. She cautioned me that they were likely trying to take advantage of me and to seek other options. I came back a week later to get my car back and ask if I could just turn the car in since it just wasn’t worth the hassle to try to buy it. They told me because the car had already been pre certified through them, that they would be at a $3,700 loss and that I only had the option to buy or lease again. I asked how did this cost that much? And I believe it was Sam (also financing) that said oh because we did some stuff to it and we paid some fees and registrations. They didn’t do anything to the car. Also I paid the registration fee for the car two weeks before I came in so they lied about that too. He said that they would only give me my car back (I still had a week and a half left of my lease so the car is still mine till then) if I payed them the $3700. After a bunch of arguing and going back and forth, the manager finally agreed to give me back my car without having to pay anything. They could also not show me any of the contracts about the breakdown of pricing because supposedly the financial side was closed on Saturdays but i was there on a Saturday before and they were open. I also talked to Toyota financing and the finance lady also told me to never try to finance from Mazda since it’s terrible but instead go through a bank. It was a huge headache and it’s unfortunate that they just want to scam people. I will say that the seller who originally helped us, Eric, was very nice and pleasant to work with. It’s the financing side that don’t care and will lie to your face. Also after the second visit, they were finally able to tell me the buy out price which was $17,000. Why couldn’t they just tell me that in the beginning???! I also find out from another dealership that my car has had a recall in July for faulty back up camera. This was never at any point mentioned by the dealership! Anyways after that experience I went to another dealership (not Mazda) and they agreed to buy the car from me. This experience was so unnecessary and it sucks because I really like the Mazda brand. If I do buy or lease another Mazda it will not be from the Wescott location. Go to the El Cajon location instead or just anywhere but here!

Great service and the fact that they show u a video on - claudia.vidai1940

Great service and the fact that they show u a video on whe they are found to ur car. That's fantastic. Thank you!

I had a terrible experience with this dealer when trying - Rob

I had a terrible experience with this dealer when trying to buy a new car (Mazda 323 Turbo Sedan) from them. Not only were they very slow in responding to my enquiries they were very rude and ghosted me, even though I had the funds (all cash) available and was ready to buy a new car from them. I do NOT recommend the sales person (Celica) or the sales manager (Chet) who behaved very unprofessionally. He said he would get back to me about my trade but never did despite several reminders. Neither did Celica. I ended up buying the same car I wanted from a different Mazda dealer over in the Central Valley who gave me a great deal on the new car and my trade-in. I am very happy with it.

My wife and I purchased a certified preowned 2025 CX-50 - sfharveys

My wife and I purchased a certified preowned 2025 CX-50 yesterday at Marin Mazda yesterday, it looks even better in our driveway this morning! I had called the G. M. Mohammed the previous day and he made our appointment for the following morning. When we arrived, Franco was assigned to show/help us with anything needed. We had done our research and had a few different models in mind, so Franco took us around. We narrowed it down to the CX-50 or CX5. After checking out the cars thoroughly Franco told us there was one that wasn't in the website list and at the detailer shop a few blocks away. He let us test drive the red CX-50 to go see the second (White) CX-50. No pressure, just great service and information. When we got back to the dealership, Franco brought up the Carfax report on his computer and said "look it over" while he left to do something else and carfax said "great deal" on pricing. We told Franco and Mohammed we needed to go discuss options over lunch and went to the Croissant diner a couple blocks away. Much discussion over lunch and decided that we would purchase the fancier Red one if under X amount, but could be very happy with the White (less expensive) one if need be. Back to the dealership, explained what we decided, and made an offer on the fancier red one just a touch under asking price since we knew the price was already very good. Mohammed met us half way (which was very nice since we were prepared to pay asking) so we got a couple hundred off on 34 k asking price. Just a part of bargaining, but it felt good to "do the dance" with offer! Off to Ahmed at financing. Ahmed was very happy, social guy. Explained all the options, legalities, lots of signatures... I must note that Ahmed was not put off when I declined one warranty but did explain the benefit vs risk vs cost equation so we took 1 warranty (7 rr.) and 1 service agreement for 2 yrs oil changes at Putnam Mazda closer to our house. I does take a good bit of time to go over everything to register, insure, document the purchase, BUT way, way better than going to DMV! So, my thanks to Mohammed, Franco and Ahmed. My wife and I are VERY happy with all the employees at Marin Mazda and would not hesitate to recommend. The old adage of beware of used car dealers DOES NOT apply to this group! We feel great about purchase, feel good about their honesty and patience with us. A definite Win-Win for both of us. Thank you Marin Mazda, and by the way, my name is Tim, my wife is Lelyn and we are not AI or chat bots or anything else but retired human beings.

Bought my CX-5 at Cardinale Mazda back in August 2021. - Jeremy

Bought my CX-5 at Cardinale Mazda back in August 2021. Everything was good until a rattle developed on the front windshield (OEM) November 2022. A brief description of the rattle: it happens during the day when the car is warm or hot because of the sun. I brought the car in for at least 5 times to get diagnosed showed them videos and test drove with a technician that heard the noise. While I appreciate the loaners car they gave me during the times they had my vehicle for service, it still doesn't change the fact that the issue remains unsolved. I have been in contact with Mazda Corporate as well but seems like there's no clear communication from both parties at all. Bad warranty service experience.

Fantastic Car Buying Experience -Ivan - jerrycook08

One of the best car buying experience's I've had, Ivan, Josh and Kenneth were great to deal with no pressure answered all questions.

Great Service - HD

Fast service, friendly staff. always appreciate the complimentary car wash! Prices are very competitive too compared to other dealerships in the peninsula. Highly recommend this place.
