We have been coming to Tustin Mazda for a little over 10 years and have purchased 3 cars from Jim. Each experience has been great and this last time was no exception. Jim made the process easy and seamless and practically had us in and out with a brand new car. After the deal, he took his time with us and explained every bell and whistle and even set up my blue tooth and made sure I was comfortable using every feature. Obviously we prefer Mazdas as they are superior to most other cars in asthetics and reliability but we keep coming back to Tustin Mazda because of Jim and the rest of the team!! Capistrano Mazda is probably, hands down, the best experience I've had in my decades of going onto car lots. Back when I first bought a car in the 70's, the experience you would of received from any given dealership could be from cold shouldered, to outright rude, or accusing you that you don't know what you're talking about. Now a days, thank goodness, the experience you get at most dealerships are generally positive. But by far the most friendliest is Capistrano Mazda. There's never a feeling of being pressured in anyway. You feel comfortable to look and examine while taking your time. And there's always a friendly dealer waiting to answer any questions.
Whitney Bowens, is by far the friendliest person I spoken to at any Dealership. We felt more like friends. We even discussed old jobs that we intersected at in the entertainment industry. She sold me my white Miata, which I can't say enough about that car and it's amazing mileage. I average around 42 miles a gallon on the highway. One time hitting 47.9, when the 5 freeway was at 45 miles per hour. That seems to be the sweet spot for super mileage with that car :)
A lot of people have a notion that a Miata is a impractical daily driver, being so small. But I must say otherwise. Since we all have to drive in traffic, and you know how that can at times be very trying. So having a car you drive everyday where you can flick the top down with one hand, and enjoy everything that the car is, the beautiful design, an amazing sound system, makes having to drive in horrible traffic a bit more bearable :) Since we all have to drive, then drive something that you find fun. Whether it be a sports car, a lifted up four wheel drive with all sorts of gadgets. It's like being a child again, enjoying your favorite toy:)
I highly recommend Capistrano Mazda if you're interested in a any Mazda. And they seemed to have the best prices around town :) I'm a person that as a hobby, scour AutoTrader.com at least once a week, ogling at all the cars. And I don't see anyone beat Capistrano at prices :)

Tyler was so easy going and full of valuable insight. I had called to set up a test drive the day prior and walked in and he was ready with no delays. Took me out for the test drive providing detailed info on the car, deals, etc. Once we arrived back we went straight to his office because I had decided this was the car I wanted to purchase. I told him the monthly payment I wanted and between my trade in and giving me a few deals we got there and expeditiously!!! Being a first time auto buyer, one of the things that I wanted from the dealer where I would purchase my car was an honest and friendly environment - CardinalWay provided this to me. I had the opportunity to work with Steven when I visited CardinalWay looking for a Mazda3 Hatchback. From the onset, he was the the most candid salesperson I had encountered the entire day. He was straightforward with me from the moment he said "hello" in the parking lot. After having him tell me about the car and taking me on a test drive we went inside to run numbers.
Neil was the person that helped run and explain the numbers for me. He was also honest and straightforward and put in a lot of effort to put together a deal I was comfortable with. After he gave me a concrete offer, I notified him that I would not be able to commit until I looked at what other dealers could offer me. Unlike the other financing people I had previously encountered, Neil understood and did not push any further. I left the dealership with both Steven and Neil's cards and a positive experience with this dealer.
The following day I visited another dealer and had an awful experience. After going through that I knew I had to go back to CardinalWay. I returned to CardinalWay and worked out a deal for a new 2017 Mazda3. On my return I worked with AJ for my test drive and some of the initial paperwork. Just like Steven, AJ was a pleasure to work with - friendly and candid. I also worked with Neil and Paulina on the numbers for this new car. Neil included a rebate that I did not even know about, nor asked for, he took it upon himself to find me the best possible deal and did it on his own. I have no words to describe how pleasantly surprised I was when he outlined this on the itemized list of costs. Unlike the other dealers, I felt that CardinalWay was making a great effort into making my experience with purchasing a car as seamless and pleasant as possible; they were not simply focused on making a sale. With all that had happened at the previous dealer, I knew that I was in good hands at CardinalWay and chose to purchase my car from them.
Paulina was the next person I worked with and she was cheerful and full of energy. She made the paperwork process enjoyable. Not only was she very personable, she was also knowledgeable and thorough with every form she handed me.

My girlfriend brought her car in today to get a recall part replaced and the service guys destroyed the paint on the hood of her car. They refused to own up to it. The service manager was not in today and the General manager Chris George would not talk to me. I requested to speak to him multiple times and even asked for his card with his employees would not give to me. I would rate lower if I could. Also since she's a girl they told her that her paint was oxidized and its clearly scratched up.
