This was my first time buying a car and my first Mazda car ever! I couldn't have asked for a better salesman than Frog at Tustin Mazda. He was very personable and treated me well from the moment I first stepped on the lot to when I was ready to make a purchase. Before we test drove the 2018 Mazda CX 5, he gave me a full walk through of the car, which I really appreciated since I knew nothing about Mazda or the car. I test drove a few cars at different dealerships that day, but my test drive experience with Frog was the most memorable. It felt like I was driving with a friend going for a joy ride. He had great energy and I could tell he was an all around genuine guy that was honest with his customers.
After test driving the CX 5, I spent a week researching online and gathering quotes from different dealerships. I received a good quote from a local dealer participating in the Costco Auto Program, but the dealership in particular did not have the best reviews and was known to "play tricks" with their customers so I did not jump on the deal with them. I chose Tustin Mazda instead because they had better reviews and my customer experience with Frog had made a great impression on me. Frog was able to get me in a few days later. I presented the same Costco Auto quote to the team and Tustin Mazda was able to offer me a great deal!
The best part was after all the paperwork was signed when I blasted Kendrick Lamar through the Bose speakers of my NEW Mazda CX5 and jammed out with Frog!! I will definitely buy from him again.

Andy was very helpful and informative. Having great product knowledge and a non pushy sales technique. After driving the car we went inside and were able to come to an agreement in no time. The no haggle straight forward pricing was a good way of knowing exactly what I was getting myself into before even stepping foot into the show room. Being a first time auto buyer, one of the things that I wanted from the dealer where I would purchase my car was an honest and friendly environment - CardinalWay provided this to me. I had the opportunity to work with Steven when I visited CardinalWay looking for a Mazda3 Hatchback. From the onset, he was the the most candid salesperson I had encountered the entire day. He was straightforward with me from the moment he said "hello" in the parking lot. After having him tell me about the car and taking me on a test drive we went inside to run numbers.
Neil was the person that helped run and explain the numbers for me. He was also honest and straightforward and put in a lot of effort to put together a deal I was comfortable with. After he gave me a concrete offer, I notified him that I would not be able to commit until I looked at what other dealers could offer me. Unlike the other financing people I had previously encountered, Neil understood and did not push any further. I left the dealership with both Steven and Neil's cards and a positive experience with this dealer.
The following day I visited another dealer and had an awful experience. After going through that I knew I had to go back to CardinalWay. I returned to CardinalWay and worked out a deal for a new 2017 Mazda3. On my return I worked with AJ for my test drive and some of the initial paperwork. Just like Steven, AJ was a pleasure to work with - friendly and candid. I also worked with Neil and Paulina on the numbers for this new car. Neil included a rebate that I did not even know about, nor asked for, he took it upon himself to find me the best possible deal and did it on his own. I have no words to describe how pleasantly surprised I was when he outlined this on the itemized list of costs. Unlike the other dealers, I felt that CardinalWay was making a great effort into making my experience with purchasing a car as seamless and pleasant as possible; they were not simply focused on making a sale. With all that had happened at the previous dealer, I knew that I was in good hands at CardinalWay and chose to purchase my car from them.

Was generally a good experience.
Recently called the dealership about some recall I heard about, in the news.
I had some problem with the person answering the phone.
I was a little miffed. Registered a complaint with the manager.
They called me back next day. Apparently, they reviewed the tape also.
They went the extra distance to take care of the issue AND bent over backwards to accommodate my servicing needs.
That surprised me because I expected the dealer to shrug their shoulders and say "things happen".
But these guys surprised me very pleasantly.
Got to say, my faith is restored - there are good people and decent dealers!
Worst customer service - Mazdaelcojonsucks
My girlfriend brought her car in today to get a recall part replaced and the service guys destroyed the paint on the hood of her car. They refused to own up to it. The service manager was not in today and the General manager Chris George would not talk to me. I requested to speak to him multiple times and even asked for his card with his employees would not give to me. I would rate lower if I could. Also since she's a girl they told her that her paint was oxidized and its clearly scratched up.
