I was trying to get a broken mirror fixed for a Honda CRV for the 3 days and have had a very disappointing experience. Please find the sequence of events below.
June 4th, 2026 - I took the car to Madison Honda for assessment of fixes needed for a broken passenger side mirror ( after I spoke to someone on the phone). I was attended to by Victoria. She engaged a tech who looked at the damaged mirror and told that all the motors / sensors are working fine and only the glass needs to be replaced and not the whole mirror assembly. Since the glass wasnt there, I was told it would be ordered immediately and I could book a service appt for June 5th. I booked and was told by Victoria that the glass was also ordered.
June 5th, 2026 - I called up the parts department to find out if the glass had arrived. I was told no one ordered the glass !! I ordered the mirror (glass) myself . Then again called up service to rebook service appointment for June 6th.
June 6th, 2026 - I reached Madison Honda. Checked my car in at around 9:55 am. At 11:30 am Victoria comes and tells me that simply replacing the glass isn't working and I will need a new mirror assembly. I agreed to buying a new assembly.
But there is a new problem now. Victoria is unable to order a new assembly ( I am not sure why and she tries to reach out to the parts department ). She told me she is trying to do the right thing ( which was what was supposed to be done from the beginning ) . She assured me that she will give me a call by afternoon of June 6th, after ordering the mirror assembly. I also paid in full for the mirror which doesnt work ( it no longer can be adjusted using the switch as two clips are broken ). I did not receive the call and I dont think the mirror assembly was ordered. So I am left with a damaged mirror and frustrated at having to make another 2-3 trips to get it fixed.
My expectations as a customer was.
1. Proper assessment of what the damage was and what needed to be fixed.
2. Follow ups as assured.
3. Not making me make multiple trips for a simple parts replacement.
4. Not making me pay for things which dont work.
5. Not leaving me with an unfixed damaged part.
A consequence of these missteps is me missing a scheduled appointment twice ( as I was not comfortable driving to another state on the freeway with a broken mirror).
Regretfully this was my first and last engagement with this dealership. I got my mirror replaced at Joyce Honda ( in an hour without an appointment and without having to preorder ).
