I recently had the pleasure of working with John Vang, Chris Loch, Geoff Feinblatt, and Jim Schaffer at their dealership, and I can confidently say they are the best in the automotive business! I was in the market for a brand new 2025 Honda Pilot, and these four gentlemen made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. This is the worst service experience I have ever had. They took my car for a repair, and after ordering an incorrect part several times, ended up keeping my car for 5 months until fixing it. At the end of the time, we settled up with a bill and I confirmed this was the full charge, which was nice, because they had reduced the charge, which seemed like a good customer service move. Days later, I get a call that they had a system issue and forgot to bill me the full amount. This is after letting my car sit outside for 5 months, being consistently rude over the phone, and repeating the same action that resulted in the wrong part over and over again throughout. Do not become a victim of their incompetence, they had the nerve to blame me for not asking why my bill was so much less than expected, with Bret the Service Manager saying "both sides were at fault" there. Forgive me for assuming they made a wise customer service move to preserve a customer. I even told the cashier they had saved a Hyundai customer with this move! I wouldn't consider buying a Hyundai ever again in my life, and while it may just be this dealership, their interactions with corporate and Hyundai processes indicate a huge gap in oversight from management.

Shaun made this the best car buying experience of my life. I had two cars I needed to trade into a single car. And the entire experience was painless and straightforward. The whole team at Glenview is absolutely amazing. They made sure I received a fair value for my trades, and I received a beautiful car from them. They have a lot of other high quality vehicles there, and you will be floored at some of their rare stuff like I was. Ill definitely get my next car from this place when it's time.

Made a trip to Gerald as they had a pre-driven Subaru that we were interested in buying. We came to buy, but left emptyhanded. We checked before we left home, and the car was still available. By the time we got there, it was gone. We were told they had a very busy weekend and sold it on Saturday. I sincerely believe the car was never available, and this was an example of false advertising or bait and switch. We attempted to work with a sales person on a new vehicle instead, but he was terrible. Unenthusiastic, lacking knowledge, and just didn't seem to know what he was doing. I can't even remember his name, so not a good experience. We ended up purchasing a new Forester from another Subaru dealer that same day!

Beware: Even if you pay for a car in full-cash, Gurnee - moyliszka

Beware: Even if you pay for a car in full-cash, Gurnee Hyundai will do a hard hit that lasts for 2 yrs on your credit score. If you finance the car, Gurnee Hyundai will do 2 hard hits that last for 2 years. This is the second time it happened. My husband purchased his new car in 2023, and I just purchased a new Hyundai 3-21-25. We specifically asked if we would get 2 hits on our credit. The salesman and the finance guy said, "only 1". This turned out not to be the case! There were 2 credit hits each on Transunion and Experian 3-21-25, the date I purchased the new car to get the cash rebate bonus. We both are proud of our credit history with no debts, with minimum hits. Even though I wanted to pay in cash, in order to get the $3k cash bonus, I had to finance part of it and was told that I can paid the balance off in 3 months in order for Gurnee Hyundai get their commission from the finance company. Here is what shows on Transunion report today Monday 3-:24-25--- -Gurnee Hyundai HCA (Finance) Mar 21, 2025 -GURNEE HYUNDAI (Auto) Mar 21, 2025 The takeaway: There is no way to avoid getting a "hard hit" when you buy a car from Gurnee Hyundai. We don't mind the hits; we just don't want to be lied to.

I found the Jeep with all the specs I wanted online at Pilson. I called the dealership to say I wanted it, and they pre-approved me for a loan. I nailed down the purchase price & the interest rate on the loan I would get through them over the phone. It was all set. They marked the Jeep sold to wait for me to arrive. I live four hours away so I drove down with my husband to finalize the sale. When we went to sign the sale/loan papers they said, "Oops, we made a mistake and your interest rate will be almost a full point more". I have a friend that works in finance at a car dealership. He told me this is a trick finance uses to make extra money on sales. I guarantee if this would have been a truck my husband was buying- we would have walked out. My husband wanted me to walk. Since this was the vehicle I wanted & needed for my business. Plus we were so far away, and we both have busy jobs.... we paid it. They were betting on us doing that knowing all of this.
