Even the service manager Mary took time out of her day to both speak with me and help me . I also want everyone to understand after owning 5 corvettes and having them serviced, the tech Mike should be the only one touching your car . Bob went out of his way to meet all the conditions I had to purchase a lease in my current situation. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. Bob explained things clearly and offered me a deal that I couldn't refuse. When I picked up the car on the following Monday morning, Bob showed me all the features of the 2024 Equinox and connected my cell phone for me. I researched what I was looking for and found it at Hartway Motors, I prefer working with smaller hometown dealerships and worked out what I feel is a fair deal with Derek and purchased the vehicle. My wife never saw the truck untill we picked it up, she has not stopped talking about how much she likes it. I would also like to thank Nicole (finance manager) who helped with the extended warranty and financing that fit into our budget. Very professional. Was in looking at trucks and had picked one out. Wanted to come back the next day to possibly complete the deal. The sales person recommended leaving a deposit, I didn't want to because I felt it wasn't necessary. He didn't pressure me at all, just respected my decision not to. That's one of several reasons why I bought the truck the next morning. He made the deal the way I was comfortable with, no pressure to buy now. When I left the first day, he thanked me and shook my hand. He said call me tomorrow when you're coming in. I knew he really didn't want me to leave and I am sure the manager really wanted a commitment, but they didn't show it. They gave me my space. That kind of respect for the customer doesn't happen much anymore. Naturally everyone wants to get a great deal, but it seems there specialty is fair deal for both with a ton of respect. They now have my vote!!

My experience with Empire Chevrolet of Huntington - cskar

My experience with Empire Chevrolet of Huntington Pre-Owned started positively but ended extremely disappointingly. I worked with Joe in sales, who was pleasant and professional, to purchase a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox. I completed the paperwork, worked with Oscar Frank in finance, obtained insurance, signed the contracts, took delivery, and drove the Equinox home believing the transaction was complete. Less than 24 hours later, I was contacted and told that the dealership had failed to include the applicable New York sales tax when structuring the deal. I went directly to the dealership after work to try to resolve the issue. The dealership acknowledged that the sales tax had been missed on their end. I completely understand that I am responsible for legally required taxes. My frustration is with how the dealership handled its mistake after the vehicle had already been delivered to me. I felt essentially dismissed by the General Manager and finance manager when I asked whether the dealership could work with me to preserve the original deal. Given the circumstances, I would have appreciated the dealership absorbing some of the financial impact, providing an additional discount, or finding another reasonable solution. Instead, I was essentially given two choices: move into an older 2023 vehicle that fit the revised numbers or return the 2026 Equinox and take my Jeep back. Ultimately, after having the Equinox for less than 24 hours, the transaction was unwound and I left in my Jeep. I do want to specifically recognize Joe and Cassandra, who assisted with the insurance process. Both treated me well and were the bright spots of the experience. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a dealership responds when one happens. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with management’s handling of this situation and their unwillingness to find a reasonable way to address the financial impact of an acknowledged dealership error. My advice to future buyers: before taking delivery, independently verify the sales tax, registration fees, trade payoff, final amount financed, lender approval, and complete out-the-door price, even after you’ve signed the paperwork.

Love the vehicle, very disappointed w tires and lack of reply EDIT: I received a call today from a senior sales manager, Michael Clark, today. We had a conversation and bottom line-he went above and beyond to resolve the issue. I am very impressed with the follow through and the resolution provided. A+ for West Herr Chevrolet!
