This dealership had my truck in their shop for over 21 - davidcross

This dealership had my truck in their shop for over 21 weeks between October 30th of 2024 and May 22nd of 2025, originally brought in for a simple timing chain replacement. They installed a brand new factory engine with a full 100K mile warranty (that I had to pay for!), and it still leaks oil and has the check engine light on. This is incredible that GMC factory certified mechanics at the GMC dealership can't fix the problems on a GMC truck, after over five months of working on it. GMC customer service says they cant help in any way, that I am responsible to pay for any further work. So to get this straight, a factory certified GMC mechanic at a GMC dealership installed a brand new factory motor with a 100,000 mile full factory warranty, and since I got it back the check engine light has stayed on, and it leaks oil every day, I had to add more than two quarts between oil changes, but I should pay for that. I am going to take the truck somewhere else and pay another mechanic to fix all of the problems created by the factory certified mechanics at the dealership.

I have never purchased a car from Ben Mynatt but have had my Buick serviced there on numerous occasions. I normally deal with Gary and Chad and have had nothing but positive experiences with the service department. They are always very helpful and courteous. I have always been given accurate estimates of service/repair costs as well as expected completion times. In seven years, I do not recall any negative experiences.
