Unexpected service on my Silverado - Mike
On August 8, 2019 we were enroute to Hocking Hills for a vacation stop. Unexpectedly our Silverado four wheel drive kicked on and would not go off. A message appeared saying service four wheel drive is needed. We had just exited onto the Logan exit, and saw Don Wood Chevrolet Dealership.
I stopped and spoke with Kody in service department. He was pleasant and knowledgeable saying it was a known computer issue on the Silverados. He immediately got a mechanic to diagnose it. The good news was it was a computer modular issue, however my 2015 Silverado with only 32,000 miles could not be reprogrammed, and needed a new computer modular. The part had to be ordered and fixed the next day.
Now here is where Kody went above and beyond. Knowing we were on vacation he worked to get us another Silverado to haul our gear onward to our camp ground. Our Silverado was repaired, and the next day we switched back without any inconvenience our vacation. I really appreciate what Kody at Don Wood Chevrolet did for us to get our vehicle fixed with the least interruption to our vacation.
For General Motors they know this is an issue and have neglected to recall this model years and replace them with a modular that can be reprogrammed. This was out of warranty, and an unneeded expense for a vehicle that should be more dependable. GM should do better.

After searching for some time, I found a preowned certified 2015 ATS coupe on CarGurus I really liked. Living 700 miles from Cleveland I did my research on the car and dealer. They seemed reputable, the car had 1 owner clean CarFax fully loaded, everything I was looking for. I finally called after watching for a few weeks and they dropped the price. I spoke with a dealer they ship cars all the time. Gave me some history said it’s loaded everything works and still under warranty. Sent me lots of pics and pointed out any small blemishs.
We spoke multiple times working out the details over the next couple weeks I specifically asked on more than one occasion it’s got everything it’s loaded. Looking at the website multiple times a day and showing people I knew exactally what it was and I wanted it.
It clearly said on both the Central Cadillac site and CarGurus it was loaded. Everything you’d expect in a 2015 Coupe. (Turbo, Navigation, sunroof, heated and cooled seats, Onstar, Apple-play/Android, heated wheel, 18’s etc). Loaded. I specifically asked just that on more than one occasions.
It’s finally delivered. The first thing I notice is no sunroof. Then no cooled seats, no navigation. (Only has thru Onstar, it sucks and you have to pay monthly, No CarPlay). I would have not wasted all that time purchasing and shipping a car out of state. I could of found this here in MN.
It’s been pretty muck parked since I got it I’m looking into my options possibly selling it for a big loss. It’s worth less not having everything. Lesson learned. Don’t believe anything until you can see it in person. Ask lots of specific questions and get things in writing.

In comparison to other Cadillac dealership, the quality of customer service and amenities are extremely poor. My cadillac was towed there on a Friday evening at 5:30p and I requested a loaner car just until Monday morning and the representative stated he couldn't provide one because the timeframe would exceed there 3 day policy and also I had to be getting a more expensive service i.e. transmission repair or engine repair. I didn't received one call from the representative providing the status on my car, I had to call each time. I was told I would receive a call when the service was complete and no call. I went to pick my car up Tuesday morning hoping it was complete and the cost was a little less than $330 and I provided the representative my credit card and he asked if I needed to split it between two cards, I'm not sure why. Maybe I didn't look like I could have $300 available on one card. I asked for military discount and again they only provided it if your spending more money. LOL And last but not least, they didn't even wash or vacuum my car even though they ask me Friday and I said yes. The representative tried to use the excuse that their power was out the night before, however, I asked him when I first came in to pickup my car if it had been washed and he responded yes but said he hadn't seen it with his own eyes. At that point he should've went to check and since it hadn't been it could've gotten started while I was handling my bill. However, he chose to wait until he pulled my car around and try to apologize and ask if I wanted him to bring it back in to be wash. NOT impressed at all with the service. They seem to be focused on money so much when they need to improve the quality of service. I definitely don't enjoy investing my money into a business with poor customer service, it can sometimes be a reflection of the quality of work put into my car. I guess time will tell.

I went in to buy what would have been my fourth Kia from this dealer. Knowing around what my credit score is and my new job status, after I test drove the Trunk, I asked Brian not to run any hard inquires on my credit but to just ask the finance people the likely hood of me getting a loan when I just switched jobs, and see where I may stand. Brain then comes back 20 mins later and says they cant do it. Today I get a credit monitor alert. That I have 6 hard inquires on my report. I am so beyond pissed and unfortunately I can not undo them. SO JEFF WYLER and especially BRIAN. I suggest that you listen to your customer, not only have you lost this loyal customer of 15 plus years, I will make sure to never send business your way again.

Bill Harris dealership in Ashland ohio is the best dealership I have ever visit and I have been visitiing dealerships for over two months looking for the right vehicle. It took 50 miles to find my fit. Truly amazed with Scott Harris wonderful personality and Nate Bowles excellent salesmanship who went over and beyond for me. I was completely sold with the attitude that was being displayed “WE GOTCHA”. Everything I requested they came back with an option or a solution. I have the Philosophy “if you are a solution-to someone or something “ you will always be needed.
