Stopped by Liberty Subaru with zero intention of buying a car. Just checking out models for comparisons and a purchase at a later date. While on the lot, we met Salesman Hector Torres. He offered his assistance on anything we needed.
My wife found a car she absolutely loved and we decided to see the numbers on it. We went in and found Hector and he could not have been more helpful. He gave us straight up pricing and information on current financing. We left the dealership without any pressure to make a deal whatsoever. The next day i emailed Hector an offer and after a few hours , he emailed back stating my offer was accepted. We made plans to return the next day to finalize the deal. I honestly expected the numbers we agreed upon to change once i got back to the dealership. To my surprise that never happened. The process with Hector was straight up as we agreed.
Next was the dreaded sit down with the Finance Mgr. Again, i was was fully expecting a numbers game. We met with Pete Golebiak and once again, I was wrong. Pete was patient and straight forward. He went over every document in detail. He answered every one of my 10,000 questions about the financing and warranties available with the utmost professionalism. Although this process of car buying is long and drawn out, i never once felt uninformed about it.
In closing, this is the first time in my new car buying life that I left a car dealership with absolutely no regret, remorse or confusion of my purchase.
So many dealerships advertise themselves as a family business just to get the sale. I found Liberty Subaru to be the true definition of a family business. They prioritized me as a potential customer over trying for the fast sale. A rare trait in the car selling business.
