We picked up my new Kia Niro PHEV from the gang at Romeo Kia of Kingston, (go to Dave, bald English dude! He's awesome! But, EVERYONE was amazing) and I don't exaggerate when I say, we dealt w/them for a month before actually taking delivery of the car, and they were amazing the entire time. On our way out, Dave noticed, we had a blemish or 2 that shouldn't be there. I'm OCD like crazy and I didn't notice. He had it scheduled to rectify the following week.
Mike & Caleb in service, provide a service that's 2nd to none. These guys are on top of their xxxx 24/7. They remembered my name before I ever knew theirs. I brought my 2016 Kia sorrento to transitowne kia for a check engine light by appointment , they called two days later to let me know my oxygen sensor was dirty which was triggering the engine light. They cleaned it off and said come pick it up.
I pick up my Kia and before I can get home (25 miles away) the engine light comes back on. I call immediately and am told by service representative Maria Tucker to bring it back in 2 days for their next available appointment. So I get it home don’t drive it and wait 2 days to bring it back.
I bring it back and wait 2 days before calling in to check on the status since I did not hear anything, Maria Tucker then let’s me know that it is a bad oxygen sensor and will be done within the next day or two. Two days later I call and I am told I can pick up my vehicle the following day. I pick up my Kia with it’s new oxygen sensor and within 24hrs 35-60 miles later the engine light comes back on. So I call Maria Tucker (service manager) back and let her know. She informs me the next appointment to bring it back in isn't untill 5 days from now. i said ok (Thinking why I’d have to wait at all since you have had the car twice in the same week).
So I wait 5 days and bring my vehicle back in.
Two days after Bringing it back to Kia for the 3rd time by appointment, I call In to get a status update Since I have not heard anything again. I am told that my engine light is still on and now it’s blinking they have to talk to engineers in California before they could proceed. I wait three days to call back in since I have not heard anything. They tell me the vehicle is still not diagnosed and I will just have to wait. Two more days and I hear nothing back so I call in again, To be told that it’s still not diagnosed but they are going to take apart my Cataylic converter. I simply ask how come out of all this time you have had my vehicle why am I not being notified? Maria became very defiant and blamed her work load as the issue and told me I will just have to wait. I explained waiting for my vehicle to be fixed and returned was not the issue. It was that I am not being informed and that I have been without my vehicle pretty much the entire month. Again Maria Tucker blamed her work load and said I’ll just have to wait. Being that I am fully covered by Kia and have a bumper to bumper extended warranty I asked about just getting a rental for the time being, quickly that was shot down and was told by Maria Tucker “we don’t cover any rentals of any kind even if I wanted to help you get into a rental it will be at least two weeks, no enterprise has cars available”. So I asked how it can be covered under my warranties, She then went to tell me “she will be putting me on a wait list for a rental vehicle but I can expect an additional 2 week wait for that rental because of the other 12 engines sitting in her lot that need to be replaced” I asked her if there is a possible way to talk to the store manager about my situation and she then says “I don’t see why talking to anyone else would matter they are just going to refer you back to me”. I took that statement insulting and unprofessional from someone that holds a “manager” position. But I’d like to ask the GM of the store if there was any courtesy given to its customers, exspecially ones that have been as patient enough to bring you back their vehicle 3 times within 2 weeks and are fully covered.
I have now left a message with GM Robert Murdock in hopes of having a better relationship with this dealership.
I have a full Kia warranty I have a full bumper to bumper extended warranty, my vehicle is a certified used Kia with only 55k miles. I have waited for their availability 3 different times I have given them 3 chances to fix my vehicle, I have been without any transportation for 23 of the past 30 days, I’m still paying my insurance and car payment as I wait for Maria Tucker to not be so backed up with her job to get back to me to tell me anything of some relief of this nightmare expierance at the transitions Kia dealership of Elma.

I would think twice before doing any business with this dealership. I've purchased and leased 3 different Kia's from them in the past but obviously the management and sales people have changed. I was upfront with the salesman from the beginning about my financial picture and he decided to disregard that information and work up numbers that I would never qualify for to make it seem like I'm getting the deal that I wanted. He also tried to bully me and use scare tactics to convince me that this is the best deal I would get anywhere. He further lied about what was showing on my credit report as a scare tactic. I don't know if he thought because I was a female, I would willing accept everything he was saying but thankfully I know better. I will be happily taking my business elsewhere.

I give them no stars. I would never have someone go there to buy a car. They sale you a car that needs breaks front and back also needs tires. My temp expired and they don't have my plates. They refuse to give you a new temp so you don't get stop. Or towed or a ticket. They told me to tell the cops my plates are late. Omg will be filing a complaint against them with the BBB. You don't want to give a new temp. Which is the law when you don't have the plates. Besides me asking why they didn't fix my break. The response was they was too busy. And they delivered it to Nj like that. The worst dealership ever.

Ugh where do I start? Let me start off by saying Scott is amazing … he made my first time leasing a car a walk in the park ! He is probably the only reason I would ever come back to this dealership if I ever wanted to lease another Kia which I highly doubt I will . The service department is horrible … I’ve brought my brand new 2021 k5 which is only 4 months old ! Back to this service department 4 times for electrical/sensor issues and phantom braking ! They brushed it off every time by saying they don’t know why the abs , traction control , forward safety system , blind spot system , auto hold lights have been coming on on my dashboard. Oh and the car started breaking on me in the middle of the highway doing 60 mph … yeah NOT SAFE at all .. even service said the car is not safe yet is so easy to pass me along with no answers or anything . I brought the car in on 8/25/21 got the car back on 8/26/21 with no answer about the sensors then the dash lights came on again and started phantom braking so I drove straight there on 8/27/21 and I dropped off the car only for me to be standing outside and to over hear Vincent the supervisor to announce outside and I quote “ that’s why the sensors aren’t working she hitting xxxx with the car” HUH? Like no … I’ve had this issue since MAY i got the car April 6th….. my car sat from 8/27/21 to 9/2/21 at service untill I decided to pick it up myself without hearing from them so I had to call everyday for a update and at first Vincent told me , my father & my mother on 3 different occasions that I must of had a collision and my front bumper underneath was pushed in.. it’s plastic wouldn’t their be damage on the outside no less wouldn’t plastic be broke , paint chipped and or cracked if their was “damage” ? Their was NONE of that this was their response for days and when I asked about the sensors all they kept saying was “we’re working on it” what are you working on?!? If they don’t know what is causing the issue they should be honest and tell me and I will go else where .. I have a special needs child I bring to school everyday I can’t if the car is UNSAFE. They put the cause down as front damage which means I would have to put a claim into insurance and when I called the insurance claims department they were suspicious that I kept bringing this car back for a sensor issue and ALL OF A SUDDEN Vincent found “damage” yet no “damage” was found the first 3 times I had this issue !!! Insurance states I should have a inspector and or head to a second opinion to have a assessment before they give a false payout to them . Also maybe someone should check Vincent for his bad xxx attitude and condescending tone he has with women or at least women who don’t take xxxx and stand up for themselves … but what would I know? I’m just a mom who trusted them to help me with my car and make sure it is safe for me and my child …

It's hard to adequately express how frustrated I am by the service, or lack thereof, I have gotten recently at Dorschel (now Bob Johnson) Kia. But I'll try: Several weeks ago, the check engine light came on in my 2015 Kia Soul, which has around 79K miles on it and been regularly maintained. I took it to Dorschel and was told it was extremely low on oil as a result of the car's engine burning oil at an accelerated rate. I was further told, much to my shock, that the engine likely would need to be replaced and that Kia would do it ... under certain oil-burning parameters that only make sense to Kia. I was instructed to continue driving the car and bring it to the dealership every 1,000 miles to have the rate of oil consumption checked. I already had done that twice and planned to take it in again midweek this week when I estimated I'd hit the 1,000-mile mark again. But yesterday, having driven less than 800 miles since the previous check, the check oil light started flashing. The person who answered the Dorschel service desk phone this morning advised me not to drive the car, so I'm stuck. I have left five voicemail messages for the service person I have been dealing with since this fiasco began and the service manager and haven't heard back from either of them. Not even an "We're extremely busy today, but we're going to call you back ASAP with a solution" courtesy-type call. An appalling lack of response.

Went to the dealership today with my sister today to sign and drive away with a car and the sales manager Andrew Rodriguez was literally yelling and CURSING at his employee on the sales floor in front of everyone including my daughter. When I politely asked him to not curse in front of my daughter or to speak to his employee that way he cursed at me and told me to go away and was extremely nasty. I honestly could not believe what had happened it was unreal. I am 6 months pregnant and he had me so upset I was shaking. I was literally just about to sign all the papers and needless to say I walked out. I felt bad because the sales person Matt that was helping us was super helpful and great and lost out on his commission because of his sales manager. I never write reviews but felt the need to because this man (Andrew) should not be in his position and I would never recommend ever shopping at this dealership. We left and went to the Nissan dealership in Newburgh and had such a wonderful experience there.

Service Department is a joke. Schedule an appointment and no one comes to give you up dates about your car. Called regarding my car being towed to the dealership due to engine overheating after this past hurricane storm. I had to call to verify if the car made it to the dealership as I wasn’t about ride with the towing company. Lady on the phone was very rude names Karina. Then I called on Monday September 13th to follow up. Was advise my advisor was Damien who was more of NO HELP. Expressed that he spoke to me on Saturday September 11th when I first called about the issue and advise him I did not speak to. I proceed to ask for a follow up about my car which I think as a customer you shouldn’t have to call a location when it’s in their hand. I should have been receive calls from the dealership but that never happened. I will be looking to take my car to another location for service as this one doesn’t seem to care and always have such a nasty tone when speaking to about your concerns as if they didn’t know what they signed up for when the took on the job. I would never recommend this location at all.

I purchased a car from a dealership (don’t want to use names) but the guy screams “HUGE” on TV! There was a recall for all 2011 - 2013 certain models and only out of a manufacture plant from the Midwest. I also had a warranty on it still. These scam artists denied my claim 3 different times. The cowards hid behind a 3rd party company that supposedly denied my claim. They said it looks like I haven’t replaced my oil. I could not prove 1 out of 5 oil changes.Then had the nerve to ask me if I want to buy another car? What xxxx!
So hears the good news: I happened to be shopping for another car at Burdick KIA and I happened to be talking with the service manager about my service issue and he told me to bring the car in. He originally told me that it may take 2-3 weeks to replace the engine, it was done in 10 days! I asked him why he did not ask about oil changes and he said: “I can tell that you changed your oil, I also seen the recall problem in the oil”! Needless to say I purchased a new car anyways just to show my gratitude. Thank you Kia Family for reaffirming my belief that there are still good companies out there that truly care about their customers. Thank you again BURDICK Family!
