A portion of the start-up services have expired, prompting
me to suggest a concierge dealership service to encapsulate
these services. Currently SiriusXM is offering a loss leader buy-in
at first year for $4.00 per month, then reverting to $25.00 per month,
or 300.00 per year. A total for 10 yrs. would be $3,000.00. I suggest
the dealership retain the Initial first year difference on the now unused
portion of the loss leader, as a fee. contract to extend to now 10 years,
with an up front cash payment of $2000.00. This might be limited to seniors/retirees, transferable with the vehicle might enhance its estate saleability.
SiriusXM would be removed from the ups and downs of month-to-month
payments, along with cash in hand for project investments. The other services
can be similarly structured to a mutual benefit for all parties. The dealership
customer status may become something even more than it is.
I still have an active On-Star account. SiriusXM has expired, also Navigation
and the speed limit reader on the HUD lapsed. Picture an older person choosing
between these services and writing more checks every month.
